#3 - Gray suit looks have been my favorite since I got into Cary Grant movies in college.
The grey suit.... love DC as 007.
The business casual suit.
I love your videos...thank you for your advice...very helpful and insightful.
Get your fitness right and you can wear all kinds of cheap outfits that fit and look great. The man makes the clothes.
Agreed!
Agree 💯 %. I work out not to look good naked, but to look good when dressed!
100%, i've seen several people rocking very nice & super expensive clothing/footwear only to have their beer belly being the most noticeable thing about them.
Don’t buy cheap! Buy what you can afford. My go-to for James Bond look for quality/price would be Banana Republic, Reiss, Vince, Brooks brother, Baracuta, Barbour, and Billy Reid! Those brands are medium range and you will get high quality garments without paying for the logos!
I absolutely urge people to buy the best they can afford! And those are all great brands. But some guys watching my channel are not even 18 and making their own money so I hope my fast fashion suggestions will be useful for them
I really like BR
Second on Billy Reid! I feel like James Bond whenever I wear my pea coat and I will have it for the rest of my life
@@Gent.ZI am just 18 and working an unstable job that pays by day, even though I get paid double of minimum wage where I live it’s still just about 25 dollars a day. That means not even 800 dollars a month IF I where to work every single day. There is the problem I don’t work every day because first of I’m an apprentice what makes some jobs like roofing to dangerous and secondly my job is very weather dependent. Meanwhile I haven’t had work for over a week so I can’t even get started buying clothes yet.
My day to day style now is baggy second hand clothes, surplus military jackets and workwear. I wanna get into this style soooooo badly but I cannot afford to spend the little money I have on clothes. I am now saving up to around 2500-3000 dollars because I’m gonna go for arborist what will be a decent paying job and a more stable one. I will have to move back to Belgium (I live in Bulgarije but I am from Belgium) because there are no arborist courses here.
It’ll take a while before I get into this and probably will buy cheaper stuff
Brook Brothers is junk. Don't waste your money.
You clearly spent a lot of time and effort researching and producing this, thanks so much, very well done!!
Would be great to see a video for those of us who are in the construction, ranch, blue collar world but still like to dress respectable and classic.
I really appreciate you mentioning his physique being a key element in recreating the look effectively. That is especially true for women's clothing and fashion trends!
You are educating me how to dress. The people dress like a kid and you have the truth! Thanks for the video. You talk excelent
I like James Bond styles and when in different parts of the movies the outfit works so well
I really appreciated your channel to reach real style....young people haven’t a clue! Thank you so much for your efforts...breath of fresh air!
Thank you, Brian! I'm glad to see my work is being well-received and appreciated by people of all ages
Thrilled I found you! Congratulations on terrific content. Thank you
Great job, you are well prepared for the topic, I enjoy watching it
I’ve been enjoying your videos. Great content and I really like your presentation. Keep it up.
I did well when I bought my Tom Ford aviators for $400 brand new about 15 years ago. Great sunglasses.
Your speaking style is very soothing.... I like how you started adding humour to these videos! Kudos to you! Look forward to see these more💫
Thank you! Yes I used to cut those little spontaneous moments out but decided to keep them in! I’m glad you’re enjoying
Oldster here…the quality of your choices in style , identifying the specific features that make the outfit work, and the more affordable options reminds me of the site, Real Men Real Style. However, you create a more approachable demeanor by speaking in a relaxed, informative, and engaging conversational tone.
I agree with the preceding comment, your site should grow quickly.
Well done. Nicely researched to provide alternatives that are within the reach of we mere mortals.
Great channel! I saw that you referenced Charles Tyrwhitt and they are the absolute best bang for your buck! The quality is great and the shirts absolutely last! I wear them eevry day for my job and I will never go to another made to wear brand (unless I start doing custom) because they are just that good. Their customer service is awesome too. Love my CT shirts.
Well done, young man.
Thank you, I appreciate your comment!
I like the video, love the straight forward topics and details
Thank you!
It’s just me but I’ve never liked boat shoes. It’s what investment bankers used to wear to work on a Saturday.
I’m not a fan of them either. Definitely not for a young guy, at least
I am looking to be James Bond, Elvis, Dean Martin, and Bruce Lee all rolled into one.
That’s a good combination for sure!
Now THAT'S funny.
Great recommendations! I think you're really optimizing for a good mix of affordability and (decent) quality. I'm sure some Bond purists might complain, but in reality, the character of Bond wears Tom Ford and Omega because they pay him to. Ian Fleming was a bon vivant himself and a lot of his tastes made it into the Bond books, but the literary bond was never a flashy high end brand victim. He liked nice things, not expensive things. That's why I think a modern day Fleming's bond wouldn't be wearing 2000 dollar TF cardigans either. It's product placement driving those decisions. (Looks great though!)
Excellent! Craig loves jeans & I did manage to recreate the NTTD outfit very cheaply minus boat shoes, I wear chukka boots instead. I love the cardigan outfit in Casino Royale, managed to pick up a cheaper alternative one in a sale & glad you recommended Charles Tyrwhitt, their shoes are quite good as well.
I actually think Chukka boots would look even better with that outfit than boat shoes, so nice choice!
We wore LEVI STA-PRESS ( stay press ) for school in the late 60's... we wore navy blue.
Great video and I love that you provide budget options for each of the outfits. Personally at 7:36 for a budget watch alternative, I would suggest getting the Orient Kamasu or the Orient Ray 2.
Loved your video…I’m already a Bond fan and now a subscriber…
Very well researched! Great job!
Thank you!
This guy doesn’t miss!!!!
Thank you, Josh!
Great video! I love James Bond style. Hoping to see more of this for other outfits! If you do James Bond again could you do the Morocco outfit in spectre?
Thank you! I am planning on making more Bond videos soon and I can definitely take a look at that and how I could discuss it
This is quite brilliant -- Great job!
Thank you, Jeff!
"Stirred not shaken," well done choices.
Thanks David!
I like looking at second hand for some of my favorite expensive brands
Thank you my friend! Awesome video. Subbed!
I bought the Church Ryder 2 boots some years ago and they are the best shoes I have ever bought.
Very nice
I would LOVE to see you do a video like this for Tom Ellis' Lucifer! Especially Season 3.
I discovered your channel today. Great video. Liked and subscribed!
Thank you!
Hockerty has a great suit crafting application. I made my own version of the Spectre Tom Ford three piece suit in a charcoal herringbone (the one worn by Craig at the funeral was black herringbone), with all sorts of high end features for a little over £325. Currently, I’ve designed copies of the Brunello Cuccinielli Brown linen jacket and the Massimo Alba Sloop (they have a lovely micro-cord fabric). Ted Baker and Loake are great brands that have the look, quality and fit for a bit less. Also, look at Vinted. I got a pair of black Crockett and Jones chukkas for £50.
nice video man, I'm a 19 year old guy and now I'm getting interesting of dressing like this
Love the video, I wouldn’t replace the seamaster professional with a bullova chronograph. Seiko makes some great and well-respected black face, automatic movement dive watches like the Seiko samurai or turtle for under $500. This will retain more of the dive watch aesthetic, more true to the original. But really enjoyed the video!
Well made video. This channel will take off in quick time.
GREAT VID. AWESOME take and taste. I really hope several years ahead your vids will continue to keep up with very same standards you have today. ( and NOT what I have seen previously somewhere somebody saying..."hey...if you can't buy this for 5000.0 US$, you should take a look on this great alternative for 4999.0 US$". )
Love you videos bro!
Thank you!!
Great video, glad you choose good quality items for the budget. I would recomend doing a video on Harvey Specter next, both his formal and casual style, I`m sure you would come up with some great ideas. Cheers :)
Thank you! Harvey Specter would be a great idea if I can find the time to watch the show haha
@@Gent.Z I hope you find some time to watch the show or some key episodes that would sum up the style of Harvey , cant wait for that video :)
thank you! If I do get the chance I will definitely do a video@@thearchangel384
That was well done 👍🏾

Outfit 2 followed by 1 are my choices.
Good stuff!
Interesting you mention the need for tailoring, in the first set I looked at the shirts and thought you're going to have to get that tailored to have any hope of looking like that. If I'm careful with most purchases I can get the fit I want off the shelf. But that goes out the window when buying a suit, I've never been able to find one off the rack, without tailoring, that fits like a suit should. Which eliminates chain outlets and pushes me to shop at high end men's stores for suits where you have some hope of finding a sales person that knows what they're doing.
Today I wore a 20 euro discounted medium grey blue button down shirt with a button down collar from C&A, a 35 euro brown knitted tie from Suitable (NL), a 39 euro dark blue merino wool sweater from Uniqlo, a well worn pair of black slim fitting chinos from C&A and a discounted 39 euro peacoat from C&A made from recycled PET bottles and my 149$ dark brown chukka boots from Thursday Boots. And I've never looked more expensively dressed, because the whole ensemble fits my body well and looks great put together.
As an omega loving college student, I have experience with Pagani Design as a watch brand. The materials and "value" you get for money is unmatched by other brands, but I have had hit-or-miss experiences with them. I have a blue Seamaster homage from them that looks absolutely stunning. However, about a year into ownership the energy in the spring system started lasting less. If I stop walking for a few hours at most, the watch will start falling minutes behind. The quartz daytona on the other hand has kept ticking reliably although the feel on the buttons is not great.
Thesis: Pagani Design is probably the best way to rotate through watches for cheap, but they can feel a little crude and don't seem to last for many years.
H, that's interesting to hear, thank you. Perhaps a brand like Seiko would offer better value for money in this case even if they do not have a style that is so visually similar to the Seamaster. At least the quality is very dependable
@@Gent.Z Yep, I agree. Although I will say, going through cheaper homages helped me determine I WOULD buy a seamaster, but not a daytona based on how often I wore them.
@@tempestandacomputer6951 cheaper styles definitely have their place!
One detail you missed about the last outfit is that the shirt has cocktail cuffs (you can see them in the still of DC drinking). They are hard to find though :(
Great video & content, just the right length too. It’s pronounced “tirrit” according to the founder btw 😉. Most of my wardrobe is CT as the shirts & suits fit me perfectly without alteration, there is always some multibuy deal on as well if you purchase directly.
Ahh, interesting Nick! Thank you. Yeah I really like their shirts and the value is fantastic. Personally I have some problems with the fit or their dress shirts but their casual Oxfords fit me very well
@@Gent.Z last year I bought 3 oxfords & their chambray in a similar style, wore on rotation all through summer. The linen shirts are great too on a really hot day & could be worn instead of bonds silk shirt for the same look, IMHO.
@@Nick.BroughYou make a good point about the linen! That’s my go-to fabric all summer. And honestly all the year because I get too warm essily 😅
I agree with you for the clothing and even some accessories 100% but the watches. Bond goes for omega- the issue is omega Rolex audemar etc.. luxury brands often have fakes replicas- the watches shown are along the same line.
I’d say a better option would to be to shop from Swiss, French or Japanese/ general well-established, rich heritage, affordable watch companies like Seiko as shown in your other videos.
Very well done. Instead of the Pagani Design watch, you may want to try an Orient Neptune in black. Yes, it is a dive watch, but it still would work. New subscriber. Your presentation is well done.
Agree completely. Pagani Design Watches are rubbish. Much better out there Seiko, Timex, micro brands etc that are good quality and will retain their looks and functionality with a minimum of care.
@@lraceroom the other suggestion is the bulova lunar pilot.
@@kevinfestner6126 So? What are you, the watch police?
@@lraceroom no suggesting other alternatives. Wait, I AM the watch police. No one expects the watch police!
Orient doesnt get enough love. Great watches
Very nicely made video - Fashion is about coordination of fabric, fit and fitness . Anyone can look good with the right mix. Labels and Price Tags are a personal prerogative.
There are many good countries of origin or assembly when it comes to men’s clothes. I’ve always preferred American or British made. Would love to see a video on that. It is very hard, if not impossible, to find men’s clothing made in Britain or America, that doesn’t cost you an Aston-Martin or a Corvette ZR-1.
Well done.
Thank you!
Japanese salvage denim are now the best as they don’t do any more old time 501 ,Only made on measure in exclusive Lewis shop.
Good salvage jeans, loafers and quality polo makes you look good.
Definitely not easy to find, especially if you're on a budget
Excellent video! That Pagani watch from the first and third outfits grabbed my attention in particular. Is this a good brand?
Subscribed!
Thanks Erick! Yes the Pagani has a beautiful aesthetic. But I'll be honest with you, some of my other fantastic subscribers have recommended models in the comments that might be of higher quality. Let me dig out those recommendations for you
Check out this Heimdallr ($229) amzn.to/3HosZsp
The style is a little different but I think it's equally cool!
@@Gent.Z Thank you for your answer. Another beautiful watch! Maybe a bit above my budget considering where I live (Portugal), but I'll for sure do some research on these 2 models. Thanks again.
Excellent video. 👍
Thank you, Jose!
Awesome video
Steve McQueen next!
Gent z, What's your glasses code or name, and can I get them in the U.K.
MtM Spier & Mackay instead of Charles Tyrwhitt.
For a staple like a white dress shirt I’d suggest springing for Eton.
Belt and shoes you can’t beat Carmina.
Actually Santos is a good shoe maker and a solid choice. To beat Carmina you need only look at their Spanish competitor TLB Mallorca ;)
Bro nice freaking video 🎉
Thank you, Miguel!
I recently bought a original Calvin Klein suit which has reverse exactly like a Tom Ford one for 3 euros
I am going to try and complete the second outfit, its not really easy but i think its such an easy midseason stylish and sport casual style. I believe I ll use it, I have already bought the trousers!
Wonderful! The second outfit has the most elements to it but I think it’s a great versatile look! I’m happy this video has been useful to yoi
@@Gent.Z Its a pleasure to know you read the comments! My trousers have arrived and they look great!. Can't wait to finish the Outfit
That's great! What are you going to wear for the cardigan?@@kilroy314
I will have to go for the charles tyrwhitt one, even if I have to wait for my salary to come in this month 150 pound for a cardigan is not the cheapest (I do want some quality)@@Gent.Z Btw keep going with this videos, you have my support!
Lots of alternatives nowadays that are good quality too. Tom Ford? Of course you’re paying his name that’s why he’s a millionaire now. Accessories too have lots of great qualities. Basically. It’s how you carry the clothes. Maintain a great physique, workout 🏋️ lol and act / moves / talk with nice manners etc. Great suggestions 👍❤️😜
Make one on Harvey Specter
The accessory I need is a Sean Connery accent. I can't do accents at all.
Great videos
Thank you!
James Bong. With Asos shoes.
Pagani watch is unavailable. But, I knew that as soon as I saw it in the video. Just had to check for sh!ts and giggles. 😂
I have a gray check suit from Banana Republic that's a dead ringer for the one Bond wore, so I got lucky there. The tab collar shirt is OOS on Amazon though, and is $95 on the PF website. Does anyone have another source?
If you go for glasses the best are the vintage Persol,a bit more expensive the Rayban.
I love the look of the Persols but they are not that much more affordable than Barton Perreira
@@Gent.Z I found a one pair in charity shop with the box for thirty pound and not luxotica and one pear in the flea market for twenty pounds but long time ago.Now charity shop are overpriced.
Second hand used Bally wallet goes for seventy pounds
They are some good finds!@@nightrider12soul
@@Gent.Z Not in central London or Charity shops in Portobello market,in the market yes,but not often.
The problem is that Persol and Ray Ban are now both owned by Luxottica, an Italian company. Luxottica seem to make virtually all the available frames regardless of brand name. Alas quality seems to have declined. This is why vintage Ray Bans etc. go for ridiculous prices on occasion.
Great recommendations - love it. TF prices are absolutely ridiculous as ever.
Thank you! Yes the markup is pretty insane even for the quality
@@Gent.Z Unrealistic Mark up - even if I had it, I wouldn't spend it !
@@SarcoidosisWarrior no. The only exception for me is his fragrances which are unique and wonderful
@Gent.Z There are definitely alternatives that are as close as can be at a 10th of the price . Heavily into my Oudh scents.
@@SarcoidosisWarrior I would love to hear your suggestions for alternatives if you have any!
I’m gonna look into that tab collar dress shirt from Amazon. Thanks so much!
He looks exactly like he talks
Listen to music but then I start scrolling and I start watching videos about watches a Rolexes like tonight I can't falling down a rabbit hole and then I saw your video I'm a huge Daniel Craig fan not to mention 007. I have the complete and ability of writing a short comment. So I'm just going to leave a bunch out but and I was aware of how the the shoes I can't think of the name but I didn't realize the rest was Daniel Craig got the the movie company or whatever to incorporate those shoes specifically for in the movies. He personally where is the shoes. Keep it simple I like to look my best and dress up when I go out it really doesn't matter where I have a lot of dress shirts I might not adhere to a tight regiment a particular styles the comments come back is why are you dressed up nice where you going? I usually just shrug it off or say I'm going to lunch with somebody. . And I enjoy it I mean even if I'm working in the yard in the garden and I just got to run down and I wouldn't do it the other part is do I have to say that that gray suit I didn't realize that pattern that oh that he looks so good there with those those glasses that were $700 and all this stuff is sold out that's blows me away but I'm retired now and regardless back in the day I worked in men's department so I'm close and barstow's and that taught me not only about customer service oh my God but how to dress how to put things together men's suits casualties the whole bed when I started there I didn't know a spread call from Oxford cloth etcetera etcetera so I'm really grateful for that and so I know at least basic you know I don't have to get fancy if I'm going to go out I just keep it simple like there's certain things in my opinion you don't wear with brown shoes instead you put the outfit with black shoes play your video was great I am a big Daniel Craig fan and I was laughing a bunch of the time too have your comments and how you're mentioning it and the prices of the things of my car but he looks good thanks so much man yeah it makes me verklempt not really but people just don't guys just don't dress up man they don't wear a tie they were a Blazer or a jacket and they have a white shirt on and no tie I swear to God it is what it is Ace where we're at Cary Grant is another one oh my God he is the spitting image of the dressed gentleman from what I understand Mr Grant got it in his contractor made a deal that he gets to keep all the clothes whenever he made a movie you spent a lot of time living in a particular Hotel I don't remember which one and when he got older he was on the board of directors of Faberge like Faberge egg okay I got to go that was fantastic thank you man
Glasses look good! Where are they from?
Thanks, Spencer! Warby Parker
As a Church's customer I can thoroughly recommend their shoes. They are indeed excellent.
Honestly it’s an ambition of mine in 2023 to either by a pair of Church’s or Crockett and Jones!
@@Gent.Z I have about half a dozen pairs of Church’s. I have neglected to buy any Crockett & Jones shoes but I gather they too are excellent. Edward Green and Gaziano and Girling are also good. In a slightly lower price range and also excellent are Barker and Loake. Barker make excellent shoes but also have lines which are a little more fashion forward as well as their more traditional lines. Their hand grade shoes I find very good.
When I do make the investment, I am considering going bespoke because my feet are different sizes and very broad! I don't know if you have any recommendations for bespoke? @@SimonTBam
@@Gent.Z Both Edward Green and Gaziano & Girling have a bespoke offering. There are however cheaper alternatives. That being said Edward Green and G&G are still massively cheaper than John Lobb. The London John Lobb rather than the Paris based one.
The Paris based John Lobb only have a ready made collection. Which is I gather made in Northampton, England. The bespoke offering from John Lobb of London is somewhat costly.
Somewhat remarkably there are some made to measure options rather than fully bespoke. I gather there are some online where you get some of the advantages of a fully bespoke shoe such as hand welted fiddle back soles etc. and the ability to pick the materials but they are made in places where labor costs are cheaper. China or India. I think one of the people whose family owns the Carmina shoe company in Spain went to China and trained people there to make high end shoes. They use top grade leathers etc. but because the labor costs are low they are able to produce high quality products and far lower costs.
Simon, you are a wealth of knowledge, thank you! I hope to make a video some day featuring some of your recommendations@@SimonTBam
Bond is wearing an Omega? More vetting needed there.
Good video.
Styling should be made affordable.✌
I think James Bond's gray suit in in QUantum of Solace is awesome, but think the tailoring was a bit too tight for him in that movie.
strong eyebrow game!
I have a pair of C&J Alex for special occasions only. M.
Cool content.
Thank you 🙏
You mention that the boots Craig was wearing were brown...they sure looked black in the video.
Also 'Tear-wit' is pronounced 'Tir-itt' 😁
I’m always a bit hesitant with cardigans. Haven’t bought one, since I think it looks a bit too granddad for me (and that’s saying something). It’s a shame though, Craig looks so good in it.
I do share your hesitancy, but I think having a good shawl collar and a ribbed texture makes it look a bit more youthful and masculine
@@Gent.Z I was thinking the problem might actually be in the buttons. Maybe a zipper would work, wdyt?
@@jorisvanoeffel4721 personally I think buttons are much more elegant than a zipper, but I would make sure the buttons are a decent size
I feel the same but I think a very fitted shape cardigan would look less granddad than an oversized one. I’ve still not bought yet 😂
@@Nick.Brough yeah I agree

How about height weight comparisons for different bond fits
As in, how these outfits would look on guys of different heights and builds?

Churches' makes some good shoes. The leather is very good.I bought some on sale closeout but I just thought it was too expensive for me too wear so I sold them on ebay. The English shoe industry is dying not because of quaslity and demand but they cannot get workers to make the quality shoe that they used too. I watched a documentary once on Northhampton shoes(I think that is correct) the factory seemed not to have anyone under 40 working in the factory it is a shame. My father had an Omega watch that was stolen the first day he landed in the USA in 1968. I had a hierloom Rolex from tjhe 1950's I inherited from my grandfather but that was stolen too no way I could afford a Roleex now so I bought a Tissot Swiss watch for $400 as a consulation prize. I guess we don't have good luck with watches:)
Yes, the English shoemaking industry is very much alive, especially in Northampton, which is a very small place but has a long tradition of this craft. It seems you don't have too much luck with watches, hold on to that Tissot now!
All very well but if you read any of the James Bond books he had his clothes made in Saville Row his jackets were not ridiculously tight for him and his trousers were not skin tight. He was elegantly dressed something very rarely seen today
Cannot emphasis the importance of quality footwear. If your shoes are well made, comfortable and all leather then you can re-sole them for years. I've had a pair of black chelsea boots for nearly 44 years, they've been resoled many times. I no longer wear them as they are totally out of date but i still polish them and keep them boxed as i can't bring myself to throw them or give them away, "too many good times". They cost me 3 weeks wages back in 1980 but they've lasted a lifetime. God I'm old.....lol
44 years! That is impressive. If there is one thing that is worth spending money on, it surely is a pair of shoes! And you can never grow out of them ;)
The thing when creating a wardrobe is that whilst it has to be within you budget you also want it to be usable. Therefore I strongly disagree with some of your suggestions that omit quality for budget. Glaring example for me is that Pagani Design Watch. It's a cheap Chinese made knockoff of the omega and will fall apart quickly. Instead, the Bulova watch example, from a reputable brand, would be the way better choice for a usable wardrobe, as it will last much longer. Same goes for everything else in the video. Cheaper alternatives are only a good choice when they also hold up decently in quality, which most suggestions do, but some don't.
Hi, I totally understand the point you are making. Honestly it can be difficult to balance affordability with quality when putting together suggestions. While some of these suggestions are from very cheap brands, some of them cost hundreds of dollars per item, which for a young guy watching my channel could be just unrealistic! But I hope I made it clear that you will have to compromise on quality if you want the same ‘look’ in some cases

Great advice… except for the Pagani Design crap watch. Get yourself a Seiko dive watch instead for slightly more money. It will last longer and it’s from a respectable brand.
