For anyone watching, for glue residue he is using orange air freshener which is insanely smart! You can also make this at home by mixing water with 10 drops LEMON oil, 10 drops orange essential oil in a spray bottle, works better than any googone product and is natural!
Is an enamel like these a good option to paint a boler type trailer? They are fiberglass but have a more flexible shell... Do you think the paint will crack and flake off?
probably last a long time on that. house materials have better adhesion then automotive. They just fade quicker. A alkyd emulsion has good flexibility adhesion and fades less than most house materials.

Does it dry as hard as rustolium? I thought about painting my truck with a good water base and the guy at the Sherman Williams store told me not to, what do you think?
the alkyd emulsion is really hard water based paint. it dries like an oil base. Really weird stuff. not like regular water based paint. there is also a product cally polytech which is even harder urethane water based paint. couple guys painted their trucks with it. But even better is PPG Breakthrough really hard finish. Very similar to automotive finish but is water based. The 49 state formula not available in ca is the best when it comes to breakthrough.
@@mikethepainter sweet thank you! I have a 2000 f350 here in road salting michigan that needs a ton of body work and then of course paint. I want to do it myself because I'm interested in making a good truck that looks bad look good again. I like 1 step process stuff and auto paint doesn't seem to be that. Also I will be doing this in my garage so I don't want alot if overspray, and I like to do things outside the box! Thanks again!

well, One of my helpers lives in a motorhome. and I was going to spray it but I just didnt have time. So he rolled it and from 50 ft away it looks so much better than before. It was a smooth sided fiberglass motorhome and he 2 toned it. Really nice. Yea pretty soon stay subscribed you will see me painting that trailer. I have had a lot of set backs including some health and last year way too much work. Just waiting for the heat to go down right now but it is coming.
I want to paint my motorhome in Florida. I dont see this paint VISTA protec availablenywhere but Calif and Nevada. What can I use or have shipped to Florida
HI Mike, Wonder if you could help me on a similar matter. I have a Burstner caravan (made in Germany), which is staying under the Med sun, so the external paint seems to be somehow burnt. If I rub my palm on the side wall, it leaves white dust on it. I want to repaint it but I do not want to loose the graphics, so I wonder if there is a way of painting with a roller or even better if there is clear coat I could use on top of it as it is. The caravan is made of aluminum and the surface has those little bumps all over, it is not flat. Can you please make a suggestion? Thank you.
Im guessing since a year later there is no post of the painting with these paints and an airless sprayer... it didn't turn out so good... or show us the after! please!
no I was really busy for a few months He ended up rolling it out with a water based alkyd emulsion.It looked pretty good from about 20 feet. Actually not bad

Which paint will hold up longer in full sun : vista Pro Tech or Breakthrough? Would a clear coat be ok to use on top of the base coat?

had lots of stuff that got in the way of me doing it. Havent painted it yet but pretty soon.
the one in that video he did himself I only helped him prep it. but my trailer will be done hopefully soon.

yea fiberglass or aluminum. works well on both.

Use a heat gun before taking the decals itll make it easier good luck!!

DO NOT USE DECAL GLUE REMOVER! It stripped the paint off my RV!
