Today is May 1, 2016.It was exactly 50 years ago that The Supremes performed this live on Ed Sullivan May 1,1966. I had to watch it on a black and white TV as my father wanted to see something else on the color TV. It is still so great that I can watch it in color.They looked real good in those yellow dresses. All three were 22 at the time.

Partly because of the perfect harmonies and the less is more stylized music of the day. No need for sampling and synthesized sounds. In fact there's a xylophone in this number 1 song for goodness sake. In the end it's the melody that matters thanks to team of HDH who wrote most of their biggest hits. This combined with the masterful Funk Brothers is what makes Motown and the 60's music so timeless and classic. A great time capsule of a lost era.

Ken Morgan Flo definitely had the best overall figure. She had the curves. But I honestly feel like Diana's face was very different. You still don't see it a lot. Women who have big eyes like that, that also photograph really beautifully. Mary was beautiful, too. But I think Diana's appeal is definitely due to how different she looked. She wasn't a bombshell, but she was still very pretty and made you wanna keep looking at her.
