How Do You Mix Payne's Grey Or Neutral Tint?

It's Monday and time to mix up some watercolors. If you don't have a neutral tint or Payne's Grey on your palette, you can mix your own and chances are you already have the colors you will need. Let's take a look at a few ways you can mix this color for yourself from other pigments you probably have on your palette. I am working with the Meeden watercolor palette, which does not have a payne's grey or a neutral tint. The watercolors I will be mixing are Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna, and Rose. This is the palette from this month's curated collection and you can get yours here:

I have never mixed Payne’s Gray may need try this next time I need it!

I still think the easiest mix is Ultramarine and Burnt Sienna, but I loved the touch of Rose in this mix.

Your paynes grey mix is very similar to shadow violet by Roman szmals, ( one of my favourite colours of his) so its great to now know how to mix it.
