    About a week ago I ordered my pair of Obsidian Inferno prescription Sleeper glasses and I'm very excited to try them out. I have near-sighted astigmatism so getting prescription blue light glasses seems like a moot point but the overall quality-of-life improvements beyond just looking at screens and gaming are worth it to me. I originally got a plano GUNNAR Intercept pair back in 2017 and the temples squeezed my head and hurt so I had to tilt them upwards to compensate. They lasted me 2 years before I accidentally snapped the frame in half and just gave up. I just found out at the end of March that I have astigmatism so I got my first glasses prescription ever and have been regularly wearing my standard prescription square frame glasses with Transitions since April and a clear-lensed aviator backup pair since June. I'm so excited to finally have prescription gaming glasses for everyday use.

    I LOVE my blue-light blocking/anti-reflective glasses - they seem to be very similar to the Gamer Advantage! I didn't know that they could be specifically better for gaming! We spend so much time on screens, and I wear my glasses all the time - these attributes make such a difference to my everyday comfort! Thanks for the analysis Dr Allen!

      I don't have any eyesight issue , but if I try reading or using pc for more than ten minutes , my eyes burn , I start to experience headaches and unbalancing . Even if I try playing video games I experience the same problems . I don't know if those glasses would work for me once I think I am suffering from simulation sickness .

    The blue light blocking glasses that I got block the bad light perfectly, my eyes strain easily without them typically begin to blur a bit in the distance, but the glasses protect that a lot. I may need to move onto prescription lenses but other than that. 10/10

    Just picked up a pair of the rezme sleep type on sale for 40 bucks, seems like a steal for all the features it has. Will be nice to use them when on the computer and before sleeping. Also the fact that they double as sunglasses makes that price even nicer on top of all the other items included in the box. Thanks for the review! As someone that actually got lasik done recently, I weirdly kind of miss glasses, mostly because my face just looks better with them

    I actually had really bad migrains with auras that would paralyze my right hand and such, i couldnt think straight understand words or speak properly and the neurolgyst said basically just deal with it and take whatever meds get rid of the headache.
    I did my own research and looked into what could be the trigger and it ended up being screens.
    Now i sit in front of a computer screen for probably 16 hours of the day due to my career and hobbies, if I didnt stumble across blue light glasses I dont even know what I would do.
    Thankfully they did the trick and ive been wearing my gunnars ever since, im down to the 35% lenses they offer which i use at night and my prescription glasses with a blue light filter during the day, though lenscrafters (where I got the lenses) couldn't give me any information at the time as to what in the blue light spectrum they were blocking, early days I guess for blue light?
    Now theres alot more information and products out there to choose from, but legit if it wasnt for blue light glasses i dont know what I would do; gunnar really did save me

    I find yellow/orange lenses are better for dusk/dawn. As for blue blockers, they're better on the water or snow. There's no truth that exposure to blue light disrupts your circadian rhythms. It actually has more to do with your screen's refresh rate. If there was an app to reduce the refresh rate as you wind down, you'd probably benefit more than a gimmicky pair of glasses

      Eye strain may not be directly related to blue light, there seems to be a lot of anecdotal reports of them helping but all other studies seem to point to no. I personally think some people are just more light sensitive and perhaps they help with photophobia. But, as far as blue light glasses and gaming glasses go, these are the best quality I have seen.

    The Gamer Advantage Glasses are a far more expensive option when compared to Gunnar. The glasses featured here, the Inferno Obsidian, start at $99. But if you want the full benefit of blue filtering for sleep, it's an extra $30. If you want a minor magnification to reduce eye strain, that will be an additional $35. There's no mention if you do purchase the magnification whether they shift the optical center similar to Gunnar. Not really seeing how these are the best, or even a good value.

    • @GamerAdvantage
      @GamerAdvantage 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Sean,
      We appreciate your comment, and we value what the community has to say. Just as an FYI there are some things you should know: The starting price of $99 includes our Suppressor lens, which provides full benefits for those who spend less than 8 hours a day on screens. The primary function of this lens is: focus, headache reduction, and reducing eye strain. When it comes to sleep, our customers opt for the Sleeper Lens, which is specifically designed using a proprietary absorption powder that results in increased melatonin production, a significant reduction in migraines/headaches, and improved cognition. Last, but certainly not least, Gamer Advantage does not recommend the use of corrective lenses unless suggested by your doctor. The magnification on our site is actually listed as "readers" which is exactly what that lens is designed for. These readers are for those whose doctor has recommended a plus power for eye comfort when reading up close. Again, we do not recommend a reading power or magnification if your eyes don't require it, and we try and make that as clear as possible on our website by calling them "Readers". If want to learn a little more about what our customers have to say about our product, please visit www.shopperapproved.com/reviews/gameradvantage.com.

    Hello bro , I have a doubt after watching many videos on TH-cam about blue light glasses . I already have Crizal blue light anti glare non prescription glasses . Some creators are saying that using these glasses on day will effect - vly rather than + ve as wearing blue light glasses during day will cut the essential blue light required by the brain and brain will think its night time and will produce less melatonin ultimately a person feeling fatigue and not energetic. But in the brochure of crizal lens i read that they have mentioned that their glasses will block harmful blue light with allowing the essential one so should i wear them during day or not ? Love from india🇮🇳.

      We do not recommend the use of corrective lenses unless suggested by your doctor. If you don't need it, the correction/magnification could lead to you developing a dependency to the glasses which could lead to headaches and eye strain. The exact opposite effect we are trying to achieve.
      Our lenses also differ in being able to see through them in true color. No yellow tint here! See the world and the games you live in the way they were made to be seen.

    Do you have any thoughts or opinions on Hyperx gaming glasses? I love their headsets and microphones so I am curious as to if the glasses are as good as the reviews say they are.

      I had both GAs and hyper x glasses. I think the HyperXs are more clear but the GAs are lighter and I saw a difference in my sleep faster. But the lenses are yellower than the HyperXs.

    Hey Dr. Eye health. Quick question. I bought those glasses. Got them today. Seems like the right lens has progressive glasses. Left lense is spot on. Is it safe to use them even though my right eye does not use progressive glasses normally?

    • @DoctorEyeHealth
      @DoctorEyeHealth  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey thanks. That sounds odd, I would contact the company and confirm that is correct. A progressive lens on one eye would cause some confusion between the eyes and may cause eye strain and even double vision.

      I tried going to a department store ophthalmologist because it was convenient and I ended up getting progressive lenses but the transition area was like walking off a cliff and I constantly bumped my head on walls. Needless to say, I went back to my original provider to get single vision lenses

    Doctor could you please answer my question.
    Sometimes my eyes get so tried which makes me feel that my upper eyelid is heavy, and my head starts aching
    But when i get a long sleep for 10h it heals , if i get less i get up with the feeling of heaviness then it disappears trough the day. What could it be ?
