    I have an old pair of transition (1st or 2nd gen) and after long time they have a permanent light yellow tint and go dark with the sun.
    I am using them now in this quarantine and i have less headache and sleeping better (now i am in front of a screen all day long).
    I have astigmatism too and with this yellow tint i feel watching everything way better and more focused. For me the yellow/brown/amber color works great.

    • @DoctorEyeHealth

    If u can't afford glasses that are to ur liking, turn down brightness on phone and for tvs turn down "back light" settings not "brightness" because that messes with the black and white shading

  • @ivoryowl
    @ivoryowl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    I wonder if the "night light" setting computers have can serve as a replacement for people who can't afford an extra pair of glasses...
    It basically makes the screen more yellow-ish or amber in color and you can adjust the strenght of this layer and even the time at which it activates (which includes a setting for sunrise/sunset based on timezone).

    In the opening scene, I see blue from the screen through the glasses. Do you see blue through quality blue light glasses or does it block the color itself. I see blue just fine through my walmart blue light blockers, just slightly dimmer. Did I get a dud? Walmart has two kinds, and I see blue just fine through both. (One of the blue light glasses at Walmart had a tag that said "You don't want to block ALL of the blue light", Uh, yes I do.) Not asking for theoretical answers...have you actually looked through glasses that block all of the blue light?

    Good video. Very helpful..Have you ever checked out Eyebuydirect? They have 2 blue light options. I'm curious about your option on their quality before i order from them.

      I'm wearing Zeiss' Duravision DriveSafe. I would 100% be with you on that! These lenses are way better than any other I've seen or owned, even with just a quick comparison in the shop itself, you'd know and there's many done online too. I'd definitely recommend going for DriveSafe lenses, the glare reduction and the help you get during night time driving is really good.

  • @eyecraveoptics7475

    BluTech is your only TRUE solution to the only blue light issue that’s real. The 455 nanometer range. CLEAR lenses that claim to filter blue light are useless and a WASTE of money. You need to change the color to truly limit the affects of blue light. If you don’t want the color on all the time have it made in a clip to be used while on the computer which is even better as it can then be built with some plus power in the lens for the clip to help emerging presbyopes with computer strain. Prevencia is one of the biggest hoaxes in the blue light filter world. It’s simply a really old low quality AR form the 80’s that reflected a lot of Blue light giving the appearance of protecting the eye from blue light. When in reality it’s just reflecting a little and allowing a lot more to pass through.

    Does small frame glasses cause more fatigue eye than large frame? Because when i wear small frame my eye feel fatigue faster than large one. I think small frame limit my vision to see thing narrow. then my eye keep focus in small point and cause to eye fatigue. Could you please confirm my thoughts ?
