I've been trying to revive my dad's old dell laptop that has this problem because i have to use it in college and I was having a hard time trobleshooting it, and then i found this video, it is very helpful and now it spring back to life again! Thank you :)

OMG, I tried your first solution on my Dell Latitude 5400 and it worked right away, I just bought it second hand 3 months ago and I was so desperate they sold me a faulty laptop, thank you so much
@@EggheadFixers I have same model latitude 5400, but in my case the blinking light shows when plug in the charger and without it, laptop doesn't on , is it also a ram problem?
Thank you sooo much i just fixed it but my labtop only had 1 ram and there was a empty spot for another but I’m sooo happy it worked I just took it out and cleaned it a little and now it’s back on!!
We got it!! Thank you so much for this tip. Turns out one stick of RAM on my inspiron had a little corrosion on the connection port along with some gunk on the mother board so I used a drop of WD 40 on a small acid brush. Cleaned up everything, swapped out the sticks like you said, all checked out good.
Thank you for the video. I had 4 white and 2 orenge blinks after switching to ssd. Obviously the Ram was loose. After switching the slot I was able to install windows on a new ssd. Thanks a lot!
This worked for me thank you!!! Now I'm trying to find a replacement RAM stick for SK hynix 8GB 1Rx8 PC4-2666V-SA2-11 but can't find the exact one. Could you recommend what else I could buy?
Worked! 100% Thanks for this. However I use a Dell latitude 7490 so I don't know how to unplug the battery. Instead I unscrew and screw. Cleaned the ram board with eraser and kept it back at it's position. It worked perfectly!
thank you so much and thank god I found this video! so my school computer, which is similar to the computer you used but my school computer unfortunately only has 1 ram stick. in the middle of the day just turned off and every time I turned it on only showed this code. Me knowing nothing about computers decided to try this out and at first it didn't work but I tried taking the ram stick in and out again and it worked thank you so much! (Most of all i am surprised that i could even do this myself, but the reason i could is because of this so again thank you!)
Wow thank you. Thanks to this video my dell G3 is still allive 👌🏻 was searching any help on TH-cam, but nothing helped, until I found this video. Thanks a mill 🙌🏻
Great video, I'm a complete computer novice but I was able to determine the port was the issue so what can I do if the port is the problem? Is that something I can fix or is this an issue I must send my computer back to Dell?

@@TheBrownAsianGuy So it's up to you...You can keep using it or risk opening it back up to put it back in. You can take a video of what it looks like. Post the video and leave the link here. One of our technicians will watch it and get back to you.
Hi Egghead fixers! Thanks so much for this wonderful video.i'm currently having this problem with my laptop but i can't follow the instruction as we're not allowed to open the company provided device. It's up for replacement now. But wondering what might cause this?
