After watching Alemusas Rac 1 AGB TAS my life has completely change, my wife doesn't want to divorce any longer, my kids love me again and I have reconnected with my parents again. Thank you Alemusa for changing my life, I owe you it.
That aside, great work. I can really see the improvement in your precision and movement over the course of the run. Here's to (hopefully) never having to TAS without savestates again.
I don't even need to watch this video to konw that it's of amazing quality. Alemusa only produces the best possible content.

Why do you scroll very fast trough the option at various points before saving?
Just waiting for the ps3 to finish up saving so that i can load the file without getting pulled out from the xmb menu. So mainly to swag out with frame perfect inputs

No but opening the pda to cancel the animation is a frame perfect trick. It has been done multiple times in runs but no one is good with that camera

Since TAS is considered the best possible way of completing a world, is for example veldin 1 not possible to complete any faster than displayed in the video? Or is this just the fastest way of doing it currently but there are chances of it being completed faster if new discoveries were made?
nope that's the fastest method from a new save file taking in consideration bolts for kerwan

would be definetely cool and i can see a lot more applications being possible. A sub 30 mins run would be 100% possible in NG+

perdonami se torno su questo video dopo un anno, ma non ho più seguito la progressione del record e delle tech scoperte durante tutto sto tempo. Mi chiedevo, dopo il bolt Kerwan 1 (3:03), non sarebbe stato più veloce salire sulla pila di valigie a destra (3:13) e saltare direttamente sui primi vagoni del treno, anziché fare tutto il giro e salire (3:17) sul penultimo?
Nope, fare io giro salva 50 frames, quasi un secondo

@@Atty1997 sisi é per quello, comunque non preoccuparti ho testato diversi metodi per tutto in cerca del movimento piú veloce, ed ora sto già lavorando su una ACM TAS ed é molto più pulita

Getting out of the drowning state (the mud with the swingshot) turns on ghost ratchet, a developer state which lets you go through walls and uncaps your speed, so i just used that to make the grounded long jumps even faster

RNG locking lol. Just forcing the RNG of the game to be to specific values, it can control pretty much most effects and visual stuff of the game

How did you patch the game to give it TAS tools?
Well someone in our community made TAS tools specifically for this game only. It's not really my work, i mainly used them to make the TAS
It's mainly feeding code to the game with a program by using CFW to allow for IP connection from the PS3 to a pc

Why is the liquid simulation freaking out so much?
oh it's just me messing around with the rng, it changes everything that is animated in this game, weather included
@@AleMusa Is there a video on how it works? I thought it might have been the liquid resets during cutscenes or when it's loaded, because as I understand it the liquid is actually physics based, it's just heavily cut down from the liquid in the Insomniac Muesaum
