      the better question is why you take the S24 Ultra and not the S24 Plus vs Pixel 9.
      and than pointless wastet time about design is gone.
      S24 Plus and Pixel 9 are 2 x the same case.
      so the only relevat matters what hardware you get from both companys.
      samung offers from the CPU side ~50-100% more performance
      from the GPU hardware side ~200% more performance
      from the NPU side ~400% more performance
      from the modem side thats handles all conectivity aspects 2x times better hardware.
      what you get from google in hardware?
      an SOC thats match the performance from 300% phones.

      Midranges from 22 seems to do alright & there is no point changing your flagship. My Pixel 6 Pro is still good, I only got the newer Pixel because my mom was starting to hate her phone (A71) & because the battery life was too short for the few days I use it a lot.

      22 Ultra to the S24 or Pixel 9 pro. This Pros RAM is appealing and the S24 Ultra is only slightly better than the S22 Ultra. Plus, I still have 3 more years of updates and just got the latest Samsung UI update which gave me most features the S24 has.

    Going to get flamed for this...
    I traded in my S24 Ultra for the Pixel 9 Pro XL basically got it for free with the promos and extra incentives, but man 4 hours in I was missing my S24 Ultra. Long story short, I couldn't get my trade in back - so had to sell the Pixel 9 Pro XL due to the promotions being cancelled out and having to be returned... and I paid an extra $250 just to get another S24 Ultra. Lesson learned, Pixel 9 Pro XL has its own niche, and not a bad device but definitely not an S24 Ultra. That's what I get for pulling the trigger and getting excited lol

      Haha I am the opposite lol. I did the same as you with the promo but I love the pixel more. It's slower, yes. • @DBAMAN7
      @DBAMAN7 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      @@DayvonGrey I agree mostly, but a few things turned me away... one of the biggest was playing my local HDR, HDR10+ files through VLC, KODI and another app - the Pixel struggled to play the files smoothly. Something I don't have an issue with my S24 Ultra (I don't know if it was just the Pixel I had) Another was the random disconnects with bluetooth (not too bad) but when coming from a flagship device you don't expect to have to deal with this. Taste in device design is subjective but I just feel the aluminum frame/rails on the Pixel make a great device look cheap... just my opinion though, as I feel the brushed titanium and matte glass back just look better. I'm looking forward to the Pixel 10 though

    It's not the right way to look at gaming capabilities - 3d mark is 100% load, when you game the load is less, maybe 80% on average, so Samsung will hold on to a lot more power when not pushed to the absolute limit. It wont be a 15% difference after throttling, but maybe like 30-40%.

      That is definitely false. I have tested both, and I the 9 Pro is superior in zoom. The super res zoom feature takes super crisp zoom photos. But Google has increased its price by $100 twice in the last 2 generations and so having sub par raw performance doesn't look good especially for a phone which promises 7 years of updates. With that performance today, it will struggle in the future. Pixels aren't for even a not too heavy user several performance app optimisation issues and GPU just being underwhelming. The SoC is the only thing holding it back, they curbed the overheating significantly so props to them. With the Pixel 10 Tensor G5 fab by TSMC, I think the next gen will be a much more all round experience.

    the bias toward the google device is very noticeable. The Pixel 9 is a good phone, but the excellent camera is not worth the high price. Many of the features are not hardwired and come with the software. Same as the AI feature. This means, that the S24 and any other Phone with google service can do nearly the same. The s24 ultra on the other side, has the flagship hardware and features in hardware. This is what the money goes into. Watch the review from MB, or if you can, try out both of the phones in real life. You will very fast learn the difference between usable features and gimmicks who look good on paper.

    • @DJ-ru4im
      @DJ-ru4im 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The AI features are remarkable really. The video boost feature, as tested by DXOMark, makes the pixel 9 pro the top video phone in the world - far above the iPhone/Samsung and Huawei. The super res zoom and zoom enhance feature make this one of the best zoom camera phones, above the Samsung. The on-device Gemini blows every other AI assistant out of the water. The camera hardware is just as good as Samsung and better than Apple 15 Pro Max. So, really, Google has just as good hardware, and better software, which is what makes it the better phone in my opinion. People make issue about the Tensor chip, but this chip actually beat the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the S24 Ultra in a 30 minute stress test with gaming and multiple background apps. So clearly Google knows how to optimize the G4 chip to provide better results than the best hardware from Qualcomm or Apple. If I were Samsung or Apple, I would be very worried

      @@malekinception So not really many reviews but reddit comments? I am on Reddit but I do not see many comments like that... I definitely do not have any issues, and swapping between open apps is very very smooth for me. Other critiques can be said about pixel 9 but not that.

    I would pick up the Galaxy because I like the rectangular screen ( Pixel's one corners are too rounded), smaller selfie hole, Titanium and less processed, more natural photos and more versatile camera overall. Also the Galaxy is available literally everywhere whereas Pixels aren't (Google ignored New Zealand, 👎 for that). For this reason here in NZ the Galaxy S24 Ultra 256GB with 2 years warranty costs less than parallel imported with no warranty Pixel 9 Pro Max. So the choice is obvious.

  • @mollypage1549
    @mollypage1549 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    The Tensor 4 is just a shame. There's literally zero reason to compare both of these phones when considering raw performance. I have both. The only thing the Pixel has going for it is the excellent camera, and the fact that it will convert iPhone users over to Android. It's way too Apple-y. Just my honest opinion.
