The voice-to-text has issues, the keyboard has issues, the camera is choppy when switching between lenses, the autofocus sucks, the battery went from being amazing to terrible within two months of use, it's uncomfortable to hold, social media apps are not as optimized as they are on iOS, the fingerprint scanner sucks (I miss the retina scan that was on the Note 8 and 9/Apple's Face ID), etc. There are probably more issues, but needless to say, I was more impressed with my Note 8 than the S24 Ultra. I liked my iPhone for the user experience and app optimization, but I missed having a clipboard and split-screen, as well as other features on Android. I've never owned a Pixel, but I feel like it's the best of both worlds: a clean user experience like an iPhone and extra bells and whistles for all the features Android offers.

Compared to the S24 Ultra, what does the Pixel bring to the table? A lot of AI and other features are there in the US, but hardly any other countries. The smaller form factor of the none XL and the better photos of moving targets seem to be the only two real upsides?

Thank you for a great video and found it extremely informative. But I do have my concerns about the pixel pro 9 and it's processing power out of the box. A totally respect and agree with you about its shortcomings in regards to playing AAA gaming titles. That's not important to me but since we are getting 7 years of updates it's about the long-term processing ability. This totally concerns me
📸I wanted to try this year my first iPhone ever, the 16 pro max, but after watching your review, it looks like Apple will need to wait for another year...

I've had an iPhone since the first version. I've tried pixel 3,5,6 and 7. None of them compare to the 9. It's truly replaced my iPhone and I'm living it!
Very informative review, thank you. You didn’t mention the “Call Notes” feature. This feature WAS NOT on my Pixel 9 Pro XL. (in Canada) I returned my Pixel because on a phone call Google told me “Call Notes” was on the Pixel before I ordered it, and then after I discovered it wasn’t, a member of the Google Pixel team told me “Call Notes” isn’t available in Canada. I see you are also in Canada, is “Call Notes” on your Pixel 9 Pro XL? Thanks! 📸
Currently got an iPhone 13 mini, the poor camera quality is starting to get annoying. Was considering the iPhone 16 pro, but after seeing a Pixel 9 pro in the flesh, I'm now strongly considering this.
I just bought this phone yesterday and I'm returning it tomorrow. This phone is trash. You have no dedicated photo gallery so you have to use Google photos which is always out of storage or install a different one. And if you want to try to cast to a television, you're not doing it unless you pay for Chromecast. This phone is a piece of corporate trash. The interface is clunky and not as easy to use as a Samsung😮
Compare this phone to the S24 Ultra.... feedback between the two??? Which would you pick and why what features and user case reasonings do you have? what features? and how do the cameras compare between the two.. skeptical about the odd mix of mp on s24 vs this phone, but am curious to see what you find out with using them.....
📷📸 I am currently running a Pixel 7 Pro. Got it through T-Mobile for free with 24-month payment credits. I've had it 3 years. Been paid off for one and I love it. I've never even thought about purchasing an iPhone. I love Android and for a long time I was a big Samsung fan until they decided to make the battery inaccessible. So I tried the pixel 5 and hated it. I returned it and paid the fees. That's when I switched to LG. I enjoyed the LG and wanted to get the next one in line and was extremely surprised to find out that LG no longer made phones because their phone was top notch. At that point I had no other choice through my current wireless carrier to go with a Google Pixel or a Samsung. The Google Pixel 7 Pro has been an amazing workhorse for me for 3 years and I'm thinking about upgrading to The 9 XL. (I can't believe you damaged your Pixel 9 XL already in 2 weeks) What would you say to someone who is running The Google Pixel 7 Pro to give them reason enough to upgrade from something they love to an $1100 US new 9 XL?
Great video! Trying to decide between Pixel xl and 24 ultra. Not sure which to get it. As a photographer leaning towards the Pixel. Thanks for great review. 😊

📷 - I'm on the fence about this one vs the 9 Pro. And whether to wait 'til Black Friday sale. Did you bash the phone with Google's case on it? I heard the Google case was good.
The only issue with pixel is it won’t last for 3-4 years hardwarewise if you are a heavy user like me. If you are a moderate user pixel will live for 3-4 years. But again if you are a moderate user why even spend so much on pixel. Grab an old iphone for half the price and use it for 3-4 years.

A totally respect and agree with you about its shortcomings in regards to playing AAA gaming titles. That's not important to me but since we are getting 7 years of updates it's about the long-term processing ability. This totally concerns me
I kept dropping my 7pro, i think after a certain size phones just become easier to drop. But with the 15pro zero drops, same with 9pro.
📸I wanted to try this year my first iPhone ever, the 16 pro max, but after watching your review, it looks like Apple will need to wait for another year...
📷📸I'm loving my Pixel 9 Pro XL but I also am a Pixel Fan Boy. i have had 1, 2, 4, 6 and now 9. Always happy with Pixel
I subscribed because you asked so nicely 😅 I would first care in order to careless about gaming, yet its obviously important to a lot people because reviewers always mention it. God bless brother
I just bought it. I’ll get it on Monday. Now I have better expectations. Thanks 🤟🏻
Enjoy it! You'll love it.
Thanks for sharing... keep up the awesome work.
I use a pixel 6a and the colour science of the pixel cameras is just magical.
I'm thinking of upgrading to 9 pro xl. But I can wait for the price drop. 📸
Love this guys videos
Nahhh you're too kind thank you :)
📸 thanks for the info! I think I may give this a go!
I switched to pixel too from apple. So far so good...
The fingerprint reader was fantastic in my opinion. I'm glad that they are upgrading to the ultrasonic fingerprint reader
(in Canada)
I returned my Pixel because on a phone call Google told me “Call Notes” was on the Pixel before I ordered it, and then after I discovered it wasn’t, a member of the Google Pixel team told me “Call Notes” isn’t available in Canada.
Thanks for the video.
I'm going to upgrade my 7 pro to 9 pro.
Went from an LG G5 to Pixel 9 Pro XL. Needless to say it was a huge improvement 🤣
Does Google pay on the Pixel require a pin or can you use the finger scanner/face unlock?
Really good. Thank you
Thanks for watching! 🙏
You literally just taught me how to do zoom to fill lol thanks
Opt for pixel. Camera is far far better it's not even funny.
@@valismind true but video and it's rolling shutter is crazy...
Loved this video. Thanks!!
The only huge disappointment for me was the ufs 3.1, absolutely no excuse for that compromise . everything else is perfect.
Great video, 📸
You mentioned using Gemini to summarize phone calls, however the Call Notes feature isn't yet available in Canada. How did you install it?
Thank you! 📸
Sadly hardware dont keep it up with future uppdates.. i heard 10 series gets tsmc soc its good news 😊
📸 I really appreciated your review.
Much appreciated thanks for watching!
this is great video! thanks! 📸
i also just picked up the 9 pro xl, and the salesperson i bought it from said my old pixel 5 was the only one he had ever seen without any major cracks, dents, or scratches, so i wonder if it might not be your bad luck
📸 Great, quality review. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
It's gotten better since I got rid of Gemini. My only issue is the lack of headphone jack.
Mainly for photography which will be better IP 16 PRO or GOOGLE PIXEL 9 PRO?
📷 - I'm on the fence about this one vs the 9 Pro. And whether to wait 'til Black Friday sale. Did you bash the phone with Google's case on it? I heard the Google case was good.
📸 Very nice video. We currently have Apple Pro 14, trying to choose whether to switch to Samsung S24 Ultra or Pixel 9 pro???
This is my first time watching a video on this channel, and I like it, 👍
Loved this phone from my iPhone 15pro max but unfortunately i had to switch back due to iMessage community
