@@nickackermanchannel Hey Nick, make a full video comparison between s23 ultra and s24 ultra(I want to see how s23 ultra stacks against s24 ultra in your video)THANKS
I bought a Pixel 9 Pro XL today and I can already say this is the smoothest Android phone I've ever used. Tbh, I've been a Samsung user and my previous android was S23 Ultra but pixel has changed my opinion about android. I'm really impressed. I also have 14PM and used it as the main phone but now I switched to the Pixel.
@@troopzaftv0 it’s my personal opinion that he did downgrade. Obviously if he is happy its an upgrade.. just asking if he feels like stutters or heating, or any issue seeing google rubbish chip ,a copy of exynos performing worst than exynos 2400itself.🤣
I just bought the S24 Ultra and i love it. It's not as consistently fast as 15 Pro Max in some ways but close to it. It has cons but less than any other flagships that exist right now. Waiting for One UI 7, hope it will be even better.
You can unlock the Pixel 6 with your finger print from the Always-on Display, so unlocking is possible without waking the screen. However, if you've got the Always-on Display turned off then you have to wake up the screen. I assume the Pixel 9 is the same. It's an advantage for the Galaxy that it works even with the AOD turned off.
Great video Nick! I've been waiting for this one. You should consider making a video about all the tech your currently using/EDC. Always appreciate your videos.
Seems risky to me when it stops getting updates soon (and some apps might stop working shortly after that if they require newer OS versions). Are you sure about that?
@@naruto6918 I mainly got the pixel 9 pro xl for the cameras and AI features. Along with its high contrast 3000 nits and big battery. It also has 16 gb of ram. The best part it only cost me 599 and that’s without a trade in.
16:40 Yes, the pixel has had the web summarisation feature since the early launches of Integrated AI. Great video by the way 👍, I'm really happy with what Google did with the pixel's this year, and by next year hopefully with the pixel 10's switch TSMC, the performance will be competition worthy just for the super performance lovers to be happy 😅, I've always been okay with the pixel's known performance day-to-day ❤
Watching on my pixel 7pro, she's still an amazing device. I was gonna upgrade but man there isn't a mark on my 7pro 🩷 she's only gotten BETTER with updates. Ill keep her until p10 unless pixel messes up & keeps my 7pro running like a champ 🏆
Sold my s24 ultra for the pixel. They gave me a trade in credit that was the price of the phone so wasn't a difficult choice. I love the pixel. Slightly more than the s24 ultra. Both are great though.
@@uMADden haha doubtful. I often switch from IOS and back to Android every half year or so and I've been doing it for years. It's more likely I have a problem than that it's a phase 🤣
Great video dude.. but i gotta say I hate that “clitter” and “clatter” every time you tap something on the S24U screen. The “no wobble” factor of the Pixel is great this year. Also “biggest pixel you’ve ever used”? The 8 Pro screen is 6.7 compared to 9 Pro XL 6.8. Barely any difference really?

@@nickackermanchannel I am glad you’re going to do that comparison. I’m just curious since Oneplus 12 almost runs stock android and also because you’ve said a couple of times before how buttery smooth the Oneplus 12 is compared to the Samsung Ultra 24. Can’t wait to see that video!
the difference in app loading is not because s24u has 8 gen 3 which has more powerful cpu and gpu but purely from ufs 4.0 storage in s24u compared to ufs 3.1 in pixel 9 series ( yeah even with upgraded cpu cores compared to tensor g3 it still uses slower ram i mean far more slower ram ). but funny thing is the random write and read speed of ufs 4,0 in s24u is far far more faster than ufs 3.1 in pixel 9 series yet it isn't outperforming pixel 9 series much on 1 or even under 1 second margin. if google did put ufs 4.0 in pixel 9 series it woould have been able to match or even faster than 24u in lot of occasions. also comparing google calender app with samsung calender is unfair as google calender is loading the contents from cloud and that's why there is loading animation when opening google calender regardless of the device you are using it on. use google calender on s24u or iphone 15 pro max the result would be same as google calender in pixel 9 series
A comparison between the pixel 9 pro xl and the s 24 ultra eu edition with the exynos would be interesting As the tensor g4 is essentially just a modified exynos
Why is this some Apple vs Samsung type of arguement here in the comments. Especially a lot of really toxic Pixel fans here. Someone comments:"Watching this on my S24 Ultra. Just love this phone" and you don't share this opinion the best answer IS NOT:"Be happy with your bloatware😂". The correct answer would be no answer if you can add nothing of value. I scrolled through a lot of comment sections pf videos about those two phones and in every one of them this unnecessary "battle" is present. It goes in both directions but as I mentioned especially some Pixel fans are really toxic. Does anybody know how that comes?
Well I already have a ultra S 24 One of my favorite Android phones of all time! I just need to upgrade my Pixel 6 and iPhone 14 Max pro! Thanks for another one of your excellent videos Mr Nick !🎉
@Adamtendo_player_1 I was able to uninstall apps I don't need and couple disabled nothing much and I'd rather have a flagship price chip 8 Gen 3 that's fast and will keep going fast for years to come, 7 years updates while your tensor g4 mid range will continue to lag later on, it's so midrange can't compare to snapdragon 735
So all videos of benchmarks show the Pixel behind Samsung and Apple, but the same videos show all three phones' actual usage to be comparable. I don't know. Maybe after all these years of companies trying to stuff so much power into phones that now they all have more power than they'll ever need. Maybe more ram is becoming the priority with all the running processes needed for AI and keeping apps open in the background so most actions can be instantaneous
how you enable the 1 swipe gesture for landscape Apps? I need that for my S21 Ultra...I have a S24 Ultra laying around, just waiting for the camera protector to be delivered, then I will switch and want to enable it on the S24u too
Samsung is amazing, it's problem is that their ui is just laggy (samsung has been getting way better software wise). You can tell the pixel is way smoother by just watching this
They need to add more stuff for Pixel, like add multi apps in Folder. Speaker is small compared to iPhone 15 Pro max and OnePlus 12, fingerprint Scanner is a little slow after I add screen protector on it. They need to add function to adjust Flashlight like any other brand as well. Pixel is just too stock in my opinion lol.
Maybe daily use is not much different for now, but every year will be different with new operating systems, more features, and apps needing more power to manage. Can this phone handle seven years of upgrades?
I use a iPad Pro 12.9 2017. in my opinion it’s lagging after 6-7 years. Also have a Samsung tablet from 2014, it’s lagging maybe a little more than the iPad, but still it’s 10 years old, android 6, but works well.^^

Just got through watching this video and from what I’m seeing the Google pix seems like it is a lot better phone. The scrolling seems much faster and smoother than the Samsung. Samsung should just face the bare facts, it has a worthy competitor now other then the IPhone.
I really wanted to buy the Pixel - but this video gave me dozens of reasons NOT to - if I'm paying 1200EUR for a phone, THE MOST basic thing aka scrolling has to be perfect. I'm not even halfway through the video and I already stopped counting how often the Pixel experienced not perfectly smooth scrolling. That I can get with a random ass 400EUR Android midranger too.

I would personally like to see gaming performance and other real world CPU/GPU intensive comparisons between these phones. All of the benchmarks are synthetic meant to test certain things and the scores can be completely different if a company optimizes hardware for the benchmarks. I see this ALL the time in PC hardware but when you get to realistic comparisons, the lower scoring GPU or CPU can outperform the higher scoring ones. The rest of the real world tests you did makes them basically on part with each other and maybe Google has focused more on the AI stuff so that's why Samsung took the lead in benchmarks. I just don't like synthetic benchmarks as a true comparison though. Even cheap Chinese android boxes perform well in benchmarks but their day to day performance sucks.
Ive watched this video and also the vs iphone speed test, and this guy is totally biased towards the pixel for some reason. Here the samsung absolutely smashed pixel but he boiled it down to just animations being fast, which clearly was not the case. There are other such biases, you shouldn’t make such videos with bias, be honest to ur viewers dont fake it.
The Samsung s24 ultra is the best phone. Even the the iphone 15 pro max cant compare it may only seem stronger for a short time then bow down in the long run
Important to note on the pixel, 3gb of that 16gb is dedicated strictly to the AI, however that does mean the s24 ultra is sharing its 12gb across the board. Bur if youre not an AI user or in non AI tasks you effectively have the same ram regardles I want to like the pixel 9 pro soooo bad. It looks gorgeous and the optimization theyve done is incredible with the chip. But given that the s24 ultra was down to 800$ for the 512gb with the fall sale + discounts I had to go samsung 😅 pixel feels so expensive and given its equivalent to a gen 1 snapdragon in terms of raw perofrmace brand new makes me worried how itll handle gamws 6-7yrs from now. Though i do think its solid if youre not a power user and just love to take photos more than the average person hut othwrwise are very bog standard about your usage, social media, texts, and phone calls

@@SkynetCryptoTech-Webnett-coin hi there. am not an iphone fanboy or android one. i have just started using iphone just by curiosity. just to know why there is all the hype around the iphone. my last android was the note 10 and am really missing it . missing the spen.
Can I buy S24 Ultra or go for OnePlus 12 or Pixel 9 ?? is S24 Ultra big device?
All are huge devices not just big😂 but the best looking and overall experience is s24ultra.. i suggest you to wait for 25 ultra in January cause it will be more rounded for better hand experience
Honestly One UI is better than pixel OS!! As you can see in the video most of the apps are customized for Samsung one UI
Could you try doing a speed test between Pixel 9 Pro XL and Nothing Phone 2?
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra>iphone History, Samsung😎
Epic match up.❤
My 4 year old iPhone 11 has a higher mulitcore and similar single core in geekbench, goes to show how terrible tensor is right now.
After a couple of months of updates, the pixels get smoother. And the price drops too. So wait for it.^^
My only complaint of Samsung phones is the blurry photos of moving objects
Nick what's your favourite phone?
Pm13
It changes a lot, but currently Z Fold 6
Ill keep my s24u. Glad the pixel 9 is a great phone.
this test is not fair. snapgragon 8 gen 3 is even better than a17 pro. because 17 pro gets hotter.
These phones compete in the same price category for the same customer who wants a larger premium phone so it is a fair test.
Love it..from philippines❤❤❤❤
Nick.. Does the pixel 9 xl has over heating issue during pic snapping and video recording.. The previous models has this issue.. Thx
It gets warm but haven’t seen it overheat on me
The Pro Pixels have a vapor chamber as well as a better chipset and modem, so overheating shouldn’t be as big of an issue as previous models
@@bizmonkey007 Chipset and modem are the same regardless of pro or not, every 9 series has the same. They are both improved over the 8 though.
Trash processor's by Samsung.. only TSMC baby
Samsung is best..❤❤love form Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Day to day use regular tasks not gonna see much difference.. its the Pixel all day long for me.
Pixel has a cleaner day to day experience, but if you like features, Samsung is the way to go
@@nickackermanchannel like what features?
@@brucelin5842One Handed Operation+, Task Changer, Edge Panel, Samsung Dex, Customizable keyboards, customizable app icons, making your own themes and default home UI's without needing to root the phone, transparency and other customizations options for your notification panel, changing the tone and adaptive color changes throughout the entire UI, duplicate apps and secure folders, being able to make a work profile version of your apps drawer, split screeing, app pairs, connected device features exclusive to their ecosystem, etc.
Awesome.👍
watching from my iphone XR

Me too ^^
Watching on my note 4 from 2014, this thing sucks, I do not recommend it
U just reboot it of course it fast. Real performance is when u use your phone about 1 week then test it. Then u will know why people buy iPhone.
Samsung don't embarrass pixel like that 😂😂😂
I give my S24 ultra they give me 510£ more 400£ store carrier I just paid 167£
Viewer: Bro are promot S24?
Bro: I'm promoting both😅
I would personally like to see gaming performance and other real world CPU/GPU intensive comparisons between these phones.
Everyday users don’t really care about speed tests. Most phones now days even the cheap ones there not that slow.
ប្រសិនបើ Pixel បំពាក់ Chipset ខ្លាំងជាង ឧបករណ៍នេះមិនអាចយកឈ្នះបាន!
If Pixel equipped with stronger chipset, this device is unbeatable!
Ive watched this video and also the vs iphone speed test, and this guy is totally biased towards the pixel for some reason. Here the samsung absolutely smashed pixel but he boiled it down to just animations being fast, which clearly was not the case. There are other such biases, you shouldn’t make such videos with bias, be honest to ur viewers dont fake it.
galaxy s24ultra is a good quality and speed phone no doubt but it have old design like a 2010 phone with those corners as a wall mirror
