Hate to be that guy, but that quote is from spring 2014 and is about the mediocre Coast with Zionspartan and Shiphtur. The terrible 1-17 team came a whole year later and I sure don't recall them winning all that many early games.
I know that the old lore about summoners and the like was terrible and totally a geeky gamer thing, but I still love it. It was lore made by a bunch of people just thinking up interesting (And often really dark) storylines for how the characters got to the rift, not having to worry about the larger world or how anything fits together. Not sure why Jensen is so down on JDG? If you hadn't watched LPL and listened to this episode you'd come away thinking they're an underwhelming team. Reality is they are the most cohesive of the best LPL teams and are stacked in every position, 369 best top in LPL, Kanavi goes without saying, Yagao performing out of his mind this year, Hope and Missing don't get talked about much but are extremely good.
But Inspired and Jojopyun are a top 5 mid jungle duo while kanavi and yagao aren't. Therefore JDG must be underwhelming 🤷 In all seriousness though, I think JDG is awesome. Danny his pool in this meta was for sure exposed. I swear if teams give him Zeri/Seraphine in playoffs they are dumb. He played 3 Sivir games and they were all against C9. The first 1 was in the super week, it was a win but the win was all 'cause of Inspired his Vi. And then 2 losses in this series against C9. Not being able to play Kalista, Lucian and Draven is a huge problem especially vs C9 who plays all 3. Though I would not want to see Lucian/Nami for C9 considering how good Berserker is on other picks and even the Aphelios who he is so good on and could arguably be his best champ. The difference is Zeri is just too easy to dominate team fights with especially when they pick shit like Zilean mid and Renata support. I do think Danny has an amazing Zeri and wouldn't really just say that Berserker > Danny when it comes to Zeri. Danny has had amazing Zeri performances. Danny is 11-2 on the Zeri and hard carried on Zeri in Spring Playoffs. Berserker on the other hand wasn't very good on it in Spring but in Summer is now doing really well with it. Berserker is 8-6 on the Zeri so yeah I wouldn't say Berserker > Danny on Zeri because of 1 series because Danny for sure can look like the best adc on specific picks like the Trist, Jinx and I also think Zeri. Berserker is just an overall better player with a better champion pool. As for Jensen performance in the regular split. I don't know honestly why he's rated as doing poorly when if you compare his stats to jojo in the season even though the winrate isn't close, Jensen has very similar stats. KDA is close, DPM is close, Jensen does a little higher % dmg inside the team because often Danny did the most damage by far. Jensen got 5 solo kills, jojo got 2. Ahead in CS at 15 minutes Jensen actually has that more often than jojo does. jojo is more a first blood victim than Jensen is. Jensen played 11 champs, jojo played 8. But honestly for Jensen to have these stats even though the winrate wasn't close is pretty crazy. But somehow he had such a mediocre or even poor split performance. But jojo was 1st all pro. I agree that regional summer season play offs should have double elimination brackets to extend the tournament as a pay off for the 2/3 month long season like lpls , however i disagree that worlds should be designed this way, it follows a system much like the champions league in football which is competitive enough and allows for upsets to happen. This world championship most probably would have a winners from previous worlds until 2014. Do you believe Riot would do something with that or we never are going to have another music video like Rise?
My problem with the west is doomed takes is that people assume eastern teams are going to keep their high level while western teams are not going to get better. Because of the bootcamps, things usually change, because western teams finally get to practice against better teams, which let’s remember is a luxury we can’t afford with the current system. Bootcamps are temporary. There is no drive in the west to actually achieve anything, outside of the occasional EU team. The west is doomed to never achieve anything significant and never be competitive. On the other hand, the east WANTS to win; every single player has a drive that puts the west to shame. You thinking that drive might magically disappear one day and allow the west to look competitive is one of the funniest things I have read all year.

Although I love Doinb both as a person and as a player. Imagine if Rookie was on LNG instead of Doinb. LNG would literally be best team in world right now
TWO sides to both of them, rookie:best early game lane ability mid laner in the world, somehow always giving golds away for his teammates for wired gank mid game then he can not carry the late game. so if the golds ahead rookie can destroy anyone in a mid-game fight, on the other way will so struggle. And Doinb: wired champ pool leads to weak lane ability, but perfect flash timer, in-game leader, he defines the situation of meta, bp and team fight so well. but he always overtakes camps from his jungle, so his jg would be useless after 30min, and he is not carrying late game cuz he only builds tank items cuz he is not a talented player, he plays almost 5000 ranks a year who puts the most effort but mechanics still... and as a person he is terrible, he is a pick-up artist always pressure his teammates or emphasis his fan to attack them, lpl fans call him the lpl faker.
Monte & Thorin since the beginning of Summoning Insight: "Why does NA try to play the same meta as other major regions just to get crushed? They should develop their own style and try to beat other regions with it. That's why LS approach would be much better for NA internationally. Why don't other teams try to play LS champions?" Monte & Thorin when NA teams try to play Seraphine (which LS has always considered super broken) and Zilean (similar concept to Seraphine): "Why are NA teams picking Seraphine and Zilean? These champions are not even meta in other regions. NA so bad ahah they can't play LPL and LCK meta" Which one is it?
The thing about zilean is that eastern mids will pick a melee into it and hard punish the lack of trading ability zilean has followed by repeat dives, so that only works domestically The seraphine seems legit tho
The answer is: NA needs to develop a meta that beats the east. Shit like zilean, playing passively and waiting for enemy mistakes is gonna get their skulls caved in internationally.
while the game XL vs FNC wasn't high class I don't think FNC played scared or bad on lucian. I don't think G2 or FNC would go far at Worlds. Also I am wondering how much of Yamatos spirit/teaching is still in the Sandbox team.

I was excited for Jensen to be on after Thorin talked him up so much recently and damn what a disappointment... For such a smart guy he is really dumb about JDG.... Not defending as a fan (no one cares but I have publicly hated on JDG for years have twitter receipts). Let's get specific for starters he openly admits he didn't watch every JDG game... If you don't watch every game from the best team in the region then you aren't an expert on the region. He then says they have bad set up on objectives and references 369 walking in jungle getting chunked for free and uses that as an example of why a western team like EG might win against them... WHAT THE FUCK? He doesn't say the specific game but I can infer it's game 2 JDG vs TES because it has the 8k gold lead for JDG and they still lose. I'm specifically assuming he's talking about the jungle fight at 37:08 where he complains about this losing them the game and being punished by other teams. This is a top for jungle trade where JDG then takes the mid inhib for free and also claims all of TES jungle. Before the play you can watch the pings go down on the map and 369 ults before walking into team because he knows where they are and he also knows that if the enemy team burns everything to kill him his team will have the health lead and resource lead to take objectives if not the game after. This dude should probably go watch all the games and also look at the mini map before coming on a show like this... He wanted to expose frauds and as far as I can tell did a pretty good job exposing himself. long comment I know but I was so hyped for this and this dude is just so very wrong it's hard to deal with
No one overrated him in summer, he was actually rated as top 6 adc in lck + if you look at his performance in spring and worlds last year, he wasn't overrated, he was actually top 3/4 adc in worlds last year behind viper, ruler and gala + to be honest, he was the most stable player in finals.

western teams will never win worlds until they change their attitude towards the game. All these discussions are hopeless.it only adds salt to the wounds and humiliation we had for the past 11 years. ONLY G2 CAN BRING UPSET AGAINST TOP EASTERN TEAMS BUT AGAIN THEY ARE DEFINITELY NOT WINNING WORLDS THIS YEAR OR ANY YEAR. i suggest fans to only watch highlights videos not the live match.we viewers and fans need to tell our lazy western players and teams to get their shit right and play like eastern teams or become irrelevant. As a fan i really really want them to ATLEAST win 1 worlds.
As a fan I'd personally rather watch the LEC instead of boycotting it - wtf would that achieve? NA viewership is in the dumpster, did that help their international performances?

@@youngchangzhang2461 i love rookie but u gotta give chovy the laning crown
@@peterenis3507 CHOVY?who was talking about chovy.
Jensen Goh? who?
the old lore was better by a mile lol
Monte & Thorin since the beginning of Summoning Insight: "Why does NA try to play the same meta as other major regions just to get crushed? They should develop their own style and try to beat other regions with it. That's why LS approach would be much better for NA internationally. Why don't other teams try to play LS champions?"
Monte & Thorin when NA teams try to play Seraphine (which LS has always considered super broken) and Zilean (similar concept to Seraphine): "Why are NA teams picking Seraphine and Zilean? These champions are not even meta in other regions. NA so bad ahah they can't play LPL and LCK meta"
Which one is it?
Another terrible take for you to enjoy Thorin
The thing about zilean is that eastern mids will pick a melee into it and hard punish the lack of trading ability zilean has followed by repeat dives, so that only works domestically
The seraphine seems legit tho
It's whichever one fits the narrative better. Talking about how bad NA is always gets the most views, so that will always be their take.
Fair point
The answer is: NA needs to develop a meta that beats the east. Shit like zilean, playing passively and waiting for enemy mistakes is gonna get their skulls caved in internationally.
3:07:30 I personally can’t stand most NA casters. I like CaptainFlowers and I think Azael would be better on the analyst desk imo.
C9 baby!!

Jensen didn’t do anything in the EG series… he had to play Leblanc as a comfort pick.
Last worlds FPX Tian was sick
NA is ready to speed run worlds and fly no walk home .
We love when doubters like you shit talk us, all the more motivation and hype when we upset KR or China and prove that LCS is better then EU right now
Joe Marsh kills me
indeed a good time
while the game XL vs FNC wasn't high class I don't think FNC played scared or bad on lucian. I don't think G2 or FNC would go far at Worlds.
Also I am wondering how much of Yamatos spirit/teaching is still in the Sandbox team.
Jesus.
Only Dove left in the team who got replaced with FATE by Yamato.
@@triggerbutton9208 ah I see. Thanks :) I was wondering if his Philosophy might have blossomed just now in the team but I guess they reworked everything then.

"GenG will blow JDG out of the water" Meanwhile the rumor is GenG can't win a game vs JDG in scrims. XD XD XD XD
dwg 2019: destroying every team in scrims
g2: 3-1 freelo
He wanted to expose frauds and as far as I can tell did a pretty good job exposing himself.
long comment I know but I was so hyped for this and this dude is just so very wrong it's hard to deal with
I agree, would be better to have Dom on to talk about LPL tbh
comments for da boyz
Loco is the ultimate LoL court jester
Its time to say: Gumayusi most overated adc in lck, even teddy outperform him lmao 😂
No one overrated him in summer, he was actually rated as top 6 adc in lck + if you look at his performance in spring and worlds last year, he wasn't overrated, he was actually top 3/4 adc in worlds last year behind viper, ruler and gala + to be honest, he was the most stable player in finals.
T1 let go of Berserker too
@@Iversonwings1 I love berserker to death but to say hes better then guma is a stretch zerk has serious problems as well
@@XGifuX I'm not saying he is better right now. I'm saying guma has issues and is under performing currently. T1 would have been smart to have kept berseker imo to possibly bench guma down the line

I don't know if it is just XQC but his quebecan accent is a struggle to understand sometimes.
Calm down G2 got to play MSF, that's not a real test, other teams had to play better opponents to move forward. Hopefully G2 are able to replicate. But based on the samples we have G2 and 100T look like the only competent teams from the west.
There's no way 100t is more competent than mad or rogue
@@archaontheeverchosen539 lol you didn't watch mad vs rge then if you think those teams are competent.
@@feature8 na only 100t is good
@Peter P I would match 100T to G2 that would be the absolute best match for LEC vs LCS.
@@archaontheeverchosen539 I don't think 100T is competent but LEC sans G2 look dog water.
So.... Jensen was wrong
Cloud9 is not winning the series. 100T 3-1.
About to look as stupid as eg fans
That didnt age well...
@@onigiri9964 yea just like Joe
western teams will never win worlds until they change their attitude towards the game.
