- This marks one of the last things to ‘complete’ the MINI build. Since I upgraded the suspension, brakes, wheels, tires, transmission, and a bunch of aesthetics, I never got around to fixing the first thing you would notice on my car, the bumper covers. The previous owner never replaced them, and because they weren’t in great condition, I was able to scoop up my car at a lowered price. Well the box for the JCW Aero kit was never checked when it was purchased at the dealership. Doesn’t mean you can’t upgrade later..

In this video, I install the entire JCW Aero kit, including all of the add-ons that are found on the track-spec GP Aero kit, such the brake duct kit and rear diffuser kit. Not only does the JCW Aero kit look more aggressive and appealing, but the add-ons make it functional. The brake ducts direct the cool air from the front of the car to the hot brakes, and the rear diffuser attaches to the flat-bottom to increases downforce without adding drag. Not only that, but the wide body fender flares make an appearance again, and this time for good!!
It has been long awaited and feels the most complete in a long time. I’m so happy how it turned out. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

For the door seal clips, I've found that if you rotate them 90 degrees with some needle nose pliers, you can lift the clips out without them breaking.

I feel it would look terrific if it was on a dark coloured mini. I have chrome in a bunch of places; handles, gas cap, headlight rings, taillight rings, belt line, side scuttle and badges. If my car was Red, or dark blue, or something other than a light colour, I'd be with you on that 100%.

Another cracking video, great info as usual. And the car looks superb, admire your dedication to making it as clean as can possibly be. I have done a similar job to the front of my JCW with the subframe just need to move to the back now. Unfortunately over here in the Scottish highlands we have the same issue with salty winter roads. I think your car would look superb with a red roof to match the mirrors and vents.

Two years ago when I came across your channel I was so keen on modifying my 09 jcw. I happen to have a laser blue with the hypersport kit too. But the more pple change out their kits, the more unique it becomes, the more the value increases.🔥. Nice car man

Completely stock I can fit a 235/40/17 tire on a 8 inch wide wheel with a 42 offset I believe. Only running was slightly on the rear when I had heavy passengers. But you could easily trim the tiny amount on the inner flare.

Regarding your wheel setup...., are you using spacers? Did you need to trim or modify the fender liners? I assume you needed to do a small amount for the lip you cut off that the liner sat on, but any additional to squeeze all that rubber under the fenders? Great job!

Love the channel! You have been an invaluable resource for my own mini woes and upgrades. Had an '08 MCS R56 N14 till I wrecked it. Now I have an '09 JCW R56 N14, and I love it even more.
Recently had to do some work on it and decided to put in a large intercooler, but it seems to be kicking out the bottom of the bumper facie making the panel gap pucker where the hood meets the top of the bumper as it meets the grill. It has the JCW aero kit but pre-2011 variant. did you have this problem at all and was it solvable?
Also, since my pre-2011 aero kit does not have the brake ducts, do you think I could just DIY mod it and get the ducts but just cut out the needed space in my lower grill?

I do have this problem, however it hasn't bothered me enough to change it out since it is helping my intakes temps stay low. I don't see why you can't do that 👍

Unless you have more adjusting to do nothing looks like it's lined up. At 9:49 the front splitter clearly doesn't line up with the fender and the back of the fender doesn't line up with the panel right next to it (right under that black duct). Plus you have a tremendous gap all around the front where the splitter meets the hood (the area under the headlights)
That is because of the fenders. They're aftermarket and the fitment isn't perfect. Trust me, it annoys me as well and I genuinely contemplated running the narrow body setup because it doesn't have any alignment issues. We'll see..
Just asking. Got the DDMWORKS air ram and box. Did you or have you had you plastic push pins pull out or brack on the hood. I had to get and put small screws with washers. #6 but think #8 would be better.
Hey Tara, I don't recall that being a problem with mine. I know the install for the duct that bolts to the hood was a pain to install, but I don't remember seeing any back out

I do not, however the car comes stock with an auxiliary water pump to flow coolant through the turbo after the car has been turned off.

It is not the same as the black one on the car. That is another kind of side skirt all together.

Hey Milan, is it just me or the black trim on the body kit doesnt match the widebody fenders?
You'd be right in saying that. The factory trim on the body kit is made out of plastic, and the flares are made from fibreglass. The colour is similar but not bang on. If the wide body setup works nicely this year, I'll probably get it all painted over the course of next winter 🤷♂️

Are you asking how much wider are my fender flares? They are +25 and +30mms, which is why I can run the wider wheels and tires.

is it after faster on your speed limited roads or did you only for shine 😂😂😂😂 you can take front lower rubber lip of Opel/Vauxhaul Vectra B fits like on every car and works aerodynamical amazing, if you fit anything it suspend in and flip out you getting for about 10€ 😆😆
