One of the best video for this season. Got all the factors: sound from the engine, diff, tyres, the owner; near miss; over takes; thats emotional
its not a diff. Its supercharger that is whining.
no, it has a new LSD (limited slip diff)@@makssy9949
Yeah, if the diff made that noise, it would be bad.
@@makssy9949 0:21
@@novalfadillah4607 yeah ? They have LSD in it?
The guy got some energy. He had a great time in there.
Of course, r53 makes the biggest smile
But i think misha is not in a good mood. I don’t know why but he seems always a bit disappointed and really unhappy. What’s up man? 😔
@@Undee-or7sbhe was going through a really difficult time at the time this video was filmed. He talks about it on the podcast he did!
@@AI-Records24 what happened
@@wake2779 wouldn’t want to really repeat it mate go to the podcast he did (the one with the ginger English guy) and you can hear it all
LOVE this dude's energy !! incredible how he turned his car around so quickly, it really did greatly improve. good luck with the B&B in france, and will have to give you a fist bump whenever i spot you at the ring!
He could join Mini French forums and meet other enthousiasts. I now an English friend who visited France with the mx5 of a mate just knowing him from a forum from 7 years.
I still think the R53 is the best Mini that BMW ever produced. It's got character, that supercharger whine, not too much technology and actually is mini, not maxi.
R56 has still his soul, trust me
@@gabriele4142 lol if you can keep it from blowing up
@@gabriele4142so much soul the engine in the r56 is a DIVA 😂
@@looped7979 why u laugh at me? Is just a personal opinion based on experience, if u don't agree there are other way to express your opinion
@@crc0889 in italy and uk there are the two best mechanic garage specialized in Mini, the Lohen and Gpgarage. If u do the right adjustment and manteinance is a brillant car.
That scoop is increasing the pressure in the engine bay and therefore making the radiator less effective. If the pressure behind the radiator is greater than in front of the radiator, or the pressure behind the radiator increases at all, no or less air will travel through the radiator. The goal is to evacuate air from the engine bay through the hood in order to reduce nose lift and promote better cooling. Adding scoops is often counterintuitive and will lead to overheating. Manufacturers who design scoops do so with those concepts in mind to prevent overheating.
At least face it the other way around I reckon
@@andyossie still won’t work that well. Ideally you want louvres so the air traveling over the hood creates a “vacuum” effect where it meets the air escaping from the hood vent. You want those streams to mix for maximum efficiency. You also want them to meet with laminar flow to reduce turbulence/drag.
The kind of comment i like. Thanks for the nugget of knowledge!
@omg_stoppit -- When the bonnet is opened near the end of the video, it looks like the air intake is directly under the scoop and seals against it. I could be wrong, but that would mean it has nothing to do with high/low pressure through radiator.
@@sheldonaubut ah, didn’t see that part. However, given the design, if that’s the only channel for air to enter the intake, then it’ll work. If it’s a secondary hole for “additional cooling”, it effectively creates the same problem.
Misha thankyou so much for making the dream of last year for me a reality and showing what the shitbox can do in the dry!
Thanks to everyone who made it possible and thankyou to everyone in the comments showing love and appreciation for the facebook market place makeover. Seeing this video has made my day, month and year. Keep doing what you're doing for the car community and the Ring.
5:22 Corner: 1 enginebrake pls.
Misha: sixth Gear. Take it or leave it.
“Best I can do is sixth gear” 😂
In defense of the scoop looks at least semi functional😂
this is so great, the guys is having the time of his life and Misha is just driving him around with a big grin on his face another great vid again guys!
idk man he seemed a little terrified on that misshift haha
By far one of the most enjoyable laps I've watched. The emotion, the pure enjoyment on your faces. Perfect. I'm inspired to finish my build now for sure.
Fantastic fun lap and driven in true mini spirit.
That guys enthusiasm and honesty is unmatched. Wish him all the best for the move to France.
Sidenote- it’s very concerning when people don’t understand which side of the road they should be letting traffic pass on especially when they drive on the same side daily. I’ve had it happen to me and it always seems to be the guys that should know better lol
4:20 Mishas head: hm this thing is pretty nice in the Corners.
A Klasse: heello theeere
Misha: WOAAAH
Fucking awesome man, the joy on his face seeing what all his thought and investments can actually do, that's what it's all about man.
Great little Mini! Great lap Misha.🎉
That was a proper thrashing... Whew. The front facing camera seemed a little more shaky than normal, but it made it visually more exciting. Those poor those tires were being asked for more than they can provide... they were howling around almost every corner, and I loved it every time. Excellent video!
Ive had the pleasure of knowing danny since i was about 13 through airsoft and im now 23 :) Back Then and even now Danny is hands down one of, if not the nicest and most kind hearted men ive ever had the luck of meeting and its truly a joy to see him on mishas channel living his best life, honestly amazing video and wishing ye the best in future my dude you deserve the world
I will never forget about the pads (9:16). Literally he could not speak! That was intense! 💪
I think Misha was grateful for him to shut up for 7 seconds.
That was joy to watch this lap! You can see that this man is a real enthusiast and enjoy this ride:)
Absolutely love this. Huge probs to the owner I loved his energy and what a machine! Really entertaining stuff guys
Wind noise sounds like paul walkers eclipse when he passed Doms RX7 🤣
RIP Paul walker..... And all that super fan nonsense!!
almost lost a plate of metal from the passenger floorboard. surely it was coming loose.
The part where you played with minimal braking towards the end was the best. I play like this in Forza with FWD cars. Its so enjoyable 🤣🤣🤣🤣
4:24 that was Demuro enjoying his lovely A-Class 😂
Mini's are proper track weapons 👌
Youre right about the anti roll bar. Most fwd come way to stiff in front when it comes to anti roll. I wouldnt remove it personally but if you can get a lighter one and get adjustable links that will help so much adjustable links in rear too and this will be so dope.
Loved the Lap!
I usually dont like Bini laps but this one was a cracker :-)
I'd LOVE to see a 60's Morris Mini Cooper or similar do a lap of The Ring, theres a lot of nice race and tracked prep units in Aus so im sure Europe has plenty!
Good vibes from the owner, seems like a nice dude 🤟
Twincharge it! Brings back memories from 17 years ago. SC whine followed by a spooling GT2871R. 300+whp in one of those is good fun.
Looked like great fun. One car I miss owning is my r53 Cooper s race chipped with a small supercharger pulley and oversize intercooler. 2 years running I took that car to the ring. 1st year as standard. 2nd year all done up. Only got rid because of kids and the boot would only hold 2 helmets and nothing else would fit
Great vid, proper capable car now, sounds great. Owner is living his best life aswell, top guy.
The mini platform especially the R53 are so raw and fun to drive. like a street legal go cart. Misha if you ever do a budget hot hatch build for the channel id love to see what you could do to dial in a mini for the track. proper upgraded supercharger pully and a tune would give you plenty of power to dance with on the track. just a thought!
I was thinking that misha was driving like a mad man on this one but I think it’s just where the guy didn’t have a bucket seat and harness keeping him in really shows how fast he is really going
That one was really fun! Well done Micha, well done Mini owner. Loved watching this!
Nurburgring is special exactly for this kind os situation.
Where if you like cars and stuff and you go there it will be the best time of your life and you'll remember for ever like the glorification of your passion making you smile like a baby and enjoying every single moment of that lap.
The magic is not just the track but the environment in which you get it's so friendly and warm where you can easily come to anyone in the parcking and talk freely like you where long time friend about their and your car.
R53 with the compressor was the best and so much more reliable than the thp
this guy rocks i love him and his mini fr hope he keeps coming out w more and more mods
I was hoping to see another R53 video! I daily mine so it’s nowhere near that level mods wise but it’s so cool to see what the car can do.
Il be over later in the summer with my facelift r53 daily from ireland hopefully, grs motorsport intercooler, 550cc injectors and a catcam461 camshaft, 17% reduced s/c pulley, stainless exhuast, front control arms polybushed, 1320mini bytronic ecu tune, fresh clutch, chain, s/c serviced, mapped to 220bhp, has bilsteins b12 suspension kit fitted, new bushs all around, toyo proxys, and r56 mini rear trailing arms and will have r56 jcw front calipers fitted in time 😁 r53s are brilliant cars once a few mods are done to make them more realible
Wow that mini is fast. Well done to the owner. Great job!
Misha, thanks for sharing. Cheers!
I always find the interactions between Misha and the owners to be anxiety inducing half the time
Incredible lap, a lot of emotions to see this
You need an inclosed air box that will help keep temps down
That is one fast Mini. I’m glad the owner enjoyed the lap, I did!
Thanks Misha for another thrilling ride.
Needs some hp mods biggest recommendation is a TV'S900 upgraded supercharger kit from harrop.
Love it on mine. Akso buy the upgraded supercharger tensioner kit.
You wouldn't need it though as your car is still very low on power.
But a dominator cam from rmw and big valve head from rmw would be my next steps in acquiring some hp.
Also get yourself a r53s front hood that hood is doing nothing bad but negative things for temps
Your top mount is getting absolutely no air whatsoever.
Was expecting this much further down the line good to see him back after your consultancy :D
I loved this man energy!!! Wish him the best!!!
big up to gareth and chris some of the most helpfull guys on the R53 group
What a cool guy. Wish him all the best with his new move and life
Perfect. The car, guest and the lap..
Just watched this whilst on the toilet and found myself gripping the toilet seat.
#MishaBeastModeActivated.
That Mini was bloody impressive!!
Shoutout to the owner, great energy and best of luck if you move to France!
I think matey should vent the bonnet some more - the supercharger is awesome, but generates a huge amount of heat in the engine bay!
Dam that was a rough ride Misha 😂
Misha, you've really been using all the width of the track. The guy really enjoyed the ride 👍👍
This dude's emotion made me smile, now I too want a mini
ALL the luck to this man, hope he succeed in his dreams, he definitely deserves it!! insane driving as always misha, absolutely love it.
Mischa doesnt give a sh**, drive it like you stole it. Hell yeah
Mini's are great bang for the buck, and with a few mods are awesome track cars - Sort of like Meganes!
nice save
wow this guy turned this into a proper build, respect for him
YES YES YES. MINI again. I am a simple person. I see MINI I hit LIKE. Above all it's an R53. SWEET.
That fiesta ST pulled well
Ps much respect to this guys efforts
a very enthusiastic owner just like last time 👌🏻
This had made me want to get the other halfs r53 out of the garage now. Need to hear the whine again. Shame i still have to get the jcw engine fitted 1st and motd 😢. Been off the road coming up to 3 yrs now too
This video was so enjoyable thanks to the owner this was a very entertaining lap.
Owner of the car a great excitement!!🤣😎great drive💪👊
This guy build this back up solely for Misha and man did he enjoy that lap
Yer boi. That's how ya do it❤ awesome stuff.
Misha looks like he’s off the shops, stays so chill!
That looked like a blast!
i have an 04 cooper s and i love it. cant wait to mod it
Wow, you really made this guy's day, week, and month.
Minis always have staggering grip, they were meant for this. Even non S models have awesome grip all around. Definitely one of the better options out there for the track if not one of the best options for the track. Maintenance is a thing tho and these things shine much more on technical tracks rather than tracks with long straights.
Literally says it's had a full alignment and then.....SCADOOOOSH👏 might need aligned again sir....ooooppppsssssshh...lol
5:20 definitely going in the "Oh sh..." moments video lol
This thing is a proper weapon! Props to the owner.
The owner made this so much fun to watch, obviously with Misha's help.
I asked in the last video, but Misha, do your cameras support 60fps video? If yes can we get some 60fps action out of the windscreen camera? It would be really fun watching it in buttery smooth high FPS.
potverdoree keerel... hahahaha every bro with Misha "I had no idea my car was capable of this!!!!!"
Epic.
Ohh man does this make me miss tracking my '06 JCW - The supercharger whine ✨
@misha, how did you like those tires? Lot of people are talking about those acclera 651 and I’m curious to buy a set.
Really good performance for such little car!
That was a wild ride! 😂
That was so good, the car and the owner, omg so good
I like this setup but for my taste I'll go with a bit more power and torque ❤
maybe in the straight this car is slow but, it can carry much momentum for much more cornering speed, thats sick
Yeah. Wonderful. Great owner, great driving. Good stuff. There was a point you were able to go so fast that your man stopped speaking! Haha brill.
The best thing is that you put the camera in the back👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
This video had me smiling the entire duration!! 😄😄😄
Amazing always driving as a winner. See u in EuroCrew (Spain)
Trying to break that little thing... But is almost impossible, the mini holds the hard treat like nothing.
Different sound too. Good lap anyways
Insane mini love it
What is the best tyres Street and little Nurburing,in jcw 210?205/45/17… 215/40/17 side and tyre? Michelin? Potenza sport Yokohama r052??
Seems like nothing has moved forward since I was last in the Mini game 10+ years ago, surprised people still fitting 17% reduction pulleys and still hitting knock/intake temp limits like the brummies did back then because "want muh low down torque bocz bruised ego on the road". Great till about 90mph then flat after as the ECU pulls all the fun.
If you are tracking it mostly, ported head, bigger valves, springs etc, more compression (high comp pistons) cams and adjustable gear and run an 11-13% reduced pulley max if you need it is the way to go. Mess around with overlap on the dyno until its where you want the power band (for me it was 4.5 to 7.8k). Dont mess around with meth injection, waste of time/money and dangerous on a car if you stack it and mapping for meth is a engine blow waiting to happen (the geezer I sold mine to fitted meth and a 17% and toasted the engine by mapping for meth and running out of it lol). Spend the money on a Link G4X instead, bin the oem ecu and get an oil temp sensor plumbed in (had one on my setup).
Chassis is capable af and the car looks to handle nice so just focus on keeping the power you can make without high temps and spend your money in the driving seat (advice from 2010-2013) 😅
That owner was cool af
84c intake temps? That's insane, surprised it didn't blow up!
Water meth would definitely help get those down.
Also, if the car has headlight washers then run the hose off them to the intercooler and run with the headlights on and it'll spray them, that's what I've done lol.
But, water meth really is the way, or front mount. Anything to get below 50c
He talks about it. He's going to use the rear washer, which makes sense too as mean it's not reliant on the headlights!
Yeah -17% isn't the ideal choice for track with a regular top mount setup and you'd want some bigger injectors aswell once opening up the tuning side. -13.2% is what I recommend for Airtec Top mount on track. For GP or GRS top mount on track, on track, -11.5%. Much higher average rpms achieved on track when compared to street eh and there's only so much air the scoop can let in and the engine bay let out
@@cllris the beauty with the headlamp washers is it runs off its own tank and also all the pipework is already in the bonnet so can literally unplug the light jets and run a line straight to the scoop and it's done. Also the pump seems pretty powerful so give a good couple of blasts. I've not had chance to fully test it yet but it definitely slowed temps down when in traffic.
I have water meth and it's crazy to watch the iat's go down under acceleration than up. But water meth doesn't work great on the road as it needs time to clear out after use else can cause miss fires in my experience if used then back down to idle.
I blew my mini up at Donnington Park with much lower iat's so am always looking for ways to keep it reliable
@@DubSe7en ah nice. Yeah I have an R53, so that makes sense!
Misha you are the Man. Misha would a Front Splitter help hold the Front End Down and Help hold the Bumper too ?🤣😂
Proper content!
cool lap Misha n a top bloke as well.
That's why i dont miss driving a manual mini
