They throw hundreds of hints at RDR3 being a prequel, they can't leave us hanging. The reason why Arthur wasn't in Blackwater and why Dutch is so vague about it is pretty obvious. It's so that we play as both Davey and Mac Callander and learn what happened there. It's clear that the game is gonna be a prequel, and if that's the case, the main character/s have to be people who actually know what happenned there (Micah, Dutch and the Callander brothers)
We play as Gavin. Start in England and live a life of crime, along the way he befriends a man named Nigel. And then when they come to america they try to change their ways but nigel can never truly put his past behind one day Gavin decides to leave him and change his name. His name is now Josiah Trelawny
You could do a game set in the peak of the wild west around the 1870s or 80s with a ex-outlaw slowly gaining redemption by becoming a trusted law enforcer or like a town deputy or sheriff, it’s most certainly not the best but it’s an idea at least. It’d keep the theme of redemption and have a new character we know nothing about.
I do a lot like this idea trying to redeem themselves as a law giver but members from his gangs past trying to get him back into that life. Could be some good drama bringing his law to his once so called friends.
@@CommanderSuberox yeah I’d love playing as a sheriff or a deputy who was once apart of a gang trying to get up in the ranks and redeeming himself by gaining the sheriffs trust until they become something of a Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday friendship.
An important point is missing from the video. The lead writer of Red Dead Redemption I & II, and co-owner of Rockstar Games, left the company a few years ago. He was the visionary behind the story of Red Dead Redemption. We see from Blizzard how stories end when the creative minds leave.
Dan is working on a New open world game. Sucks as Red Dead and Bully are really the games he liked the most. He seemed to not have much interest in GTA6.
They lost a ton of programers and Leslie and hired some woke blue haired weirdo to replace the it’s over for rockstar lol rdr2 was the last great… even the online was horrible wait until you see what’s next.
Who cares? Even with him still on board there's nothing new for the series to do. They've already remade their themes from red dead 1 into Red Dead 2, would you go and do it a third time?
Red Dead Redemption 3 should be a survival game where you play as pearson and you must survive being stranded at sea for "50 day's" and at the end you unfortunately survive.
The Henry Repeater was invented in 1860. That’s 39 years before RDR2. You could do one set immediately after the civil war. Keep in mind The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly takes place during the civil war. Have it take place during a gold rush or while the rail road is pushing west. Still plenty of room to play around in
You could, but should we? I agree with Act that it's pretty cherry on top already. It would be cool for Rockstar to make a new IP, or even put some love into old ones.
@@Culturedtuna1 maybe not in the exact same series, but there’s still some room for them to work with the Wild West. All I’m saying is that it’s an idea that isn’t 100% dead on arrival
@SkyPilot-qx2sb John: Jack, I was never here, Jack. You need you need to wake up and let go Jack: dad, I don't want to lose you again John: I'm sorry, I did it for you, you know that
A good example to understand Act Man's point of a story/information to leave out to the imagination is, when Nick Fury in The Winter Soldier says the line "...The last time I trusted someone I lost an eye." That left so many questions and implications open for the audience's imagination, we thought we wanted the answer but we didnt... And when we did got the answer and learned how he did actually got the scar in Captain Marvel it undermined that powerfull scene from the the previous movie.
We could have learned how he lost his eye and it not take weight away from that scene, if they hadn’t decided to make a gag out of how he lost his eye. So this doesn’t super work as an example. This isn’t really a case of “we didn’t need an explanation” it’s a case of “the explanation we got was terrible.”
@@tropicturtle9021 although, there’s also the possibility that any explanation will be a terrible one. Everyone having their own theories as silly and wild as their imagination can go. You can have an idea, think it’s good, someone else expands on it, then someone else thinks both ideas are bad and overly complicated. By not having an official answer everyone can be happy believing their own story.
The issue is that a bunch of writers get used to smellin their own shit they think anything they write is pure gold, even when they try to be comedic. Ex: Nick Fury should’ve lost his eye when he was betrayed, captured and tortured by a fellow colleague that he trusted, it’s that simple
@@Nickie102 Exactly, and that's what is meant by "best left to the imagination". Stories that resonate the most with people don't just tell a good story, they leave room for people to interpret things that aren't spelt out for them, which is part of how engagement works. If you are given all the answers to all the questions, big and small, it's boring. You can also go the other way and be way too vague, ask more questions than ever get answered and go off on tangents, which is why the show LOST was a huge hit when it came out, but no-one talks about it now because it's badly written trash.
I think something you can point to why the mystery is so important regarding Blackwater is the film Reservoir Dogs. Basically the entire point of the film is trying to figure out, based on flashbacks and dialogue, what happened at the heist and what happened to make it go to shit. A lot of the movie's magic would be taken away if they just showed the robbery in a scene
Funny enough, I believe the idea of showing the heist was on the table but as you said it completely ruins the movie when you know exactly what Mr. Blonde did that caused the heist to go south. We see enough of his psychopathy in the “Stuck in the Middle with You” scene to draw the conclusion that whatever happened, it was probably pretty terrible.
@@cloudkid12able exactly. If they showed the scene, whether at the beginning or the end of the film, it would take away from a lot of intrigue cuz the whole movie, and even still now, we don’t really know what all went down, which leaves us hunting for details
Potentially having a whole new story, where it starts just before the massacre where your gang has an interaction with Dutch and his gang, your gang can then go on it's own story either up north or down south, you can maybe see small newspaper articles or hear rumours of incidents that happened in RDR2. Being a leader of gang and trying to keep it stable and potentially having them turn on you could be exciting to see how your honour system effects the gang would be interesting.
Unironically, I think a game focusing around Hosea would be genius! The Wild West lasted from post-civil war up until the late 1800s, so roughly 1865 to the late 1890s! Hosea met Dutch in 1876, which would be well into the Wild West era. I would love to see a game tackle his origin story, as well as the setting of the early Wild West as a contrast to red dead 2’s late Wild West!
I was playing rdr1 the other day and at a random campfire a guy was talking about Red Harlow even said his full name and everything. Lot of people think it doesn’t connect but that alone proves it does
When the game first came out I tried to play and only put in about 6 hours or so and stopped for a couple of reasons. Picked it back up and started a play through on hard the other day. Its already been frustrating how sluggish the controls can feel but im in it for the long haul. Time to find out why it gets so much praise!
Hear me out: Red Dead Down Under. Australia had its own "wild west" period in the mid 1800s. You had lots of escaped convicts and outlaw gunslingers during that period. You even have the varied environments, danergerous wildlife, and Natives, just like the American West.
A game based around Melbourne and surrounding countryside in the mid 1800s would be awesome. Could have the Kelly gang and other famous bush rangers as recurring characters
Duels with kangaroos sounds perfect. All the poisonous creatures, and all the moonshine are just making fosters lol. I think you have a 10/10 idea there😂😂😂
What started my love of the “this story revolves around a certain event but you don’t get to see that event” trope was Quentin Tarantino’s film Reservoir Dogs where you don’t get to see the diamond heist that the crew performs. Only the before and after
The reason i played red dead redemption the first time is because I was such a fan of red dead revolver. So as long as it is a red dead story it will have enough brand recognition. They could make one that tells more of the story of red Harlow and officially makes the three games connected.
I've been saying for a while that Red Dead could explore other cultures of the Wild West era. It doesn't have to be about the Van der Linde gang like fans seem to think. The only reason people keep wanting more of the gang is because they were so charismatic and immersive, but that can be done for another group of characters for future Red Dead games. I'm thinking the next main character can be either Mexican or Native American and we explore the Wild West and the redemption theme from his/her perspective. I'm also down for a Klondike Gold Rush setting where greed and migration of prospectors in search of wealth spark an incredible conflict for the main character and his family.
14:42 My favorite example of this is the fact that Micah wares a white suit in the St Denis robbery whilst everyone else has dark suits/clothes. It made him stick out to the Pinkertons so that they wouldn't shoot their informant on accident. There's no proof of this and it's never stated but when you piece the puzzle together yourself it's a great lightbulb moment!
In old Westerns made through the 1920's and 1940's, the hero(s) tend to always wear black outfits and black hats, meanwhile villains and antagonists tend to wear lighter colors and white hats to make them pop out more on black and white TV. This was really only changed with the onset of the mass popularity of the western genre in the late 1940's and 1950's and it's normally attributed that the success of The Lone Ranger series alone led to the change. In RDR2, Micah is the only one of the gang who wears a white hat the entire time, signifying he's the villain and antagonist from the start.
I think a game where we play as Javier in between rdr2 and rdr1 would be a decent idea because when he is last seen, he still isn’t the person he is in rdr1 he refuses to point the gun at Arthur, and seems to have regrets about what he is doing. It could be cool to see his descent. not really a redemption but still.
What about a Red Dead from the Mexican perspective? A story that engulfs both sides of the frontier. A new setting, a new character, a new perspective.
You and I have almost the same idea! I can't believe how many fans I hear say we need to see the beginning of the Van der Linde gang or any of its related characters when we have entire other relevant cultures like the Mexicans and Native Americans to work with. People seem to think Red Dead is exclusively about Dutch and the boys and don't seem to realize it's about the Wild West as a whole. I also think it would be cool to go to the Klondike Gold Rush for an amazing story of greed, immigration, and possibly redemption within that setting if the developers still have a redemption story to tell.
@@albopicklemcnicol1682 maybe not javier, maybe an ex Mexican soldier from the second French intervention. He migrates north and the story goes from there.
My brother offhandedly mentioned a genuinely great idea about the Red Dead series taking a direction similar to what GTA did with Vice City & San Andreas and dedicate a whole game to the state of "Nuevo Paraiso". They could retcon more map down south and just say John wasn't allowed to go down there so that you get more land to explore, similar to West Elizabeth in 2. It doesn't even have to be that big, (I know Rockstar would never do this but) it could just be a smaller game that requires less development time and exists to keep fans fed before their next big release.
@TheActMan Same brother. I have never cried out a character's name like I did when Hosea and Lenny died. This story touched my soul and I pray Rockstar never makes RDR3. I cannot wait for your video.
Why not Mac Callander? He died in Blackwater after the gang lost ties with him. They can show an angle where he self sacrificed to save the gang or something like that. Arthur had a rather serious reaction to his death, indicating the gravity of the character's significance, which also could tie him to Arthur the way RDR2 tied Arthur to John. He's the perfect pick for a prequel.
Nah thats just a reskin of Arthur's story. Red dead Redemption as a series should end. They can create another red dead that doesnt have any ties to van der linde gang.
I STRONGLY disagree with not showing the black water massacre. This event was brought up across two games, everyone knows Heidi McCormick by name. She must’ve been important. We also know one of the calendar brothers died in the town helping Arthur escape. The groundwork is laid. You play as that calendar brother you see Dutch starting to turn at the end of the game you see the black water massacre and you get Arthur out. Then maybe in the epilogue you can go back further, play as Hosea and kinda run through the formation of the gang. But I think we definitely need to see what happened on that boat and find out just what made that woman so important
Instead of RDR3, I’d love for them to remaster both games, and put them as one package deal. After you beat the epilogue of RDR2, you can go to bed and an option will pop up: *Continue to Red Dead Redemption* ? Then you can play the first game with the 2nd game’s engine, graphics, and some of the newer mechanics not seen in the first game. Maybe even have the whole map from RDR2 available with new DLC side missions up in those areas. It would be nice if some of the VA’s could come back and add a couple lines of dialogue referencing Arthur or Hosea. Just make it feel like one big odyssey. I don’t know if that’s feasible, but I’d love to see something like that someday.
Just remaster the first one, jesus those A hole put the old game in same states it was on X360 for the price of a new game, what a scam. Also it's the same map than RDR2 why so hard to remaster it, what a bummer...
As long as there's an epilogue that shows jack participating in world war one. Continue the theme of 'He's lost everything and fallen into violence, so he went to where he could fit in. The battlefield."
@@roetemeteor " let's take a character based, story driven game about the dying breaths of the wild west and america, and turn it into a kill the German game" Stop with the WW1 game, this is a cowboy outlaw series, and not a Call of Duty shooter
I genuinely think the best option for another game is, unironically, a game based around Uncle, but when he was younger. Show us that he actually was the badass gunslinger he always claimed to be because that would be hilarious if he was actually telling the truth, making all of the insults thrown by Arthur and John in previous games funnier and sadder at the same time. Then, have him end the game aging, suffering a severe back injury or something in an epic setpiece so that his Lumbago actually has a source, which makes the fact that everyone thinks he's lying even funnier. Then end the game with him falling in with a younger Dutch, skip some time then let you play as a younger Arthur to continue exploring the open world like they did with John in RDR2, give him a few quests with youger versions of other gang members, or ones we haven't met and maybe some side quest with Mary Linton and her family or something. All of this while Uncle lazes around and goes back and forth with Arthur all the time. That gives Uncle more context as a character in both games, makes his survival, reunion, and death have more impact in the previous games, and most importantly lets me play as Arthur again (please, I'm begging you just let me play as Arthur again please)
No you’re genuinely dumb. Uncle was never a bad ass. Never had a bounty on him. Best option is to bring back red Harlow the man that started it all. The games are named after him ffs but no one knows about him. Red dead revolver the first red dead game.
i like this but what i think is that it should start the same as yours but not switching to Arthur and instead being uncles pov of rdr2 and the redemption part of him should be when he sacrafices himself to save john and jack in rdr1 and in his final moments its a flash back of his most heart whelming moments of his life
Call it Red Dead Deception/Disgrace and you play as a lawman turned outlaw. Set it in a different part of the country at a different time. Or even at the same time but not the same location so they can have little nods to the previous title. You play as a lawman during the first part of the game and then an outlaw during the second.
Red Dead Damnation. Yeah, the Van der Linde gang story might be over, but the IP can continue with other characters. It could be cool to see a new story that is less about protagonists trying to redeem themselves, and more about a tragedy of a seemingly "good man" being driven astray by life. Something like Breaking Bad but western. Give this protagonist a good, relatable reason to turn bad, and have his/her journey be the tragic opposite of Arthur's and John's. That type of story is even trendy nowadays.A villains origin story.
Game Title: "Read Dead Reckoning" Plot Overview Prologue: * From Slavery to Soldier * Opening Cutscene: The game starts with a cinematic cutscene showing the protagonist's life as a slave and their eventual escape. * Escape Sequence: A brief but intense gameplay segment where the protagonist makes their way to the North, utilizing stealth and quick thinking (introduces stealth). * Union Army Missions: A series of missions where the protagonist joins the Union Army, learning basic combat and survival skills. This section serves as a tutorial for the main mechanics. Act 1: The Outlaw Life * Post-War Setting: The main game begins after the Civil War. The protagonist returns to a divided and lawless country. * Establishing the Outlaw: Players engage in missions that build the protagonist's reputation as an outlaw. This could includes forming or joining a gang, planning and executing heists, and navigating the challenges of post-war America. * Motivation: The protagonist strives for a combination of justice, revenge for those who have wronged him, and freedom for themselves and their community (main one). Also a clear villain or maybe a couple different ones should be established. * More depth to the various characters and plot points: * Maybe add in a romance that is inspired from Django Unchained where he has to go back and free his lover or something. It can maybe only be a couple missions or it could be a big part of the game and the lover could be part of the gang that he forms. Or just his lover that lives at the gang campsite (or wherever you live). There could also be other potential lovers. * Create good antagonists and side characters. * Add atleast 1 extremely good antagonist or more. They can be as evil as we want, because this is a video game to do with slavery. And also they have to be worse than the protagonist, who is an outlaw (he is doing it to survive, but he does kill people). You can really just go all in on evilness if you want. * Open World Exploration: An expansive open world filled with towns, wilderness, and various points of interest. Players can interact with NPCs, take on side missions, and explore hidden locations. * Dynamic Missions: A variety of missions that involve robbery, duels, rescuing allies, and fighting for justice in a lawless land. The player's choices during these missions affect their standing with different factions and shape the story. * Character Interactions: Deep, narrative-driven interactions with other characters, including former soldiers, freed slaves, and other outlaws. These interactions reveal more about the protagonist’s past and motivations also brings in more characters and makes the world feel real. Act 2: Facing the Consequences * Rising Tensions: As the protagonist’s infamy grows, they face greater challenges from law enforcement, bounty hunters, and internal betrayal. * Major Heists and Showdowns: High-stakes missions that culminate in significant heists and confrontations with powerful enemies. * Moral Dilemmas: Players make tough decisions that impact the fate of their gang, their community, and their own legacy. Choices have long-term consequences, leading to different outcomes. Epilogue: Legacy and Reflection * Resolution: The game concludes with the protagonist reflecting on their journey. This segment varies based on player choices throughout the game, offering different endings that consider the protagonist’s actions and their impact on the world. * I’m thinking atleast have 2 completely separate endings, so: * 1 ending that’s actually a happy ending. Protagonist settles down and has a family. * 1 ending where the protagonist dies in a sad way. * And possibly 1 bittersweet ending. * Cutscene and Gameplay: A mix of final cutscenes and gameplay that tie up loose ends and show the long-term effects of the protagonist’s actions. And some sort of post credit gameplay. Gameplay Features * Stealth and Survival Mechanics: Crucial during the escape sequence (this is when you’ll learn about it) and useful in heists and escaping pursuers. Also adds to open world exploration. * Combat and Strategy: Engaging gunfights, strategic planning for heists, and tactical decision-making. Mainly the gunfights. * Open World Exploration: Rich environments to explore with dynamic weather, wildlife, and interactive NPCs. Should be a very engaging post civil war world. * Moral Choices: Decisions that affect the protagonist’s legacy and the game’s outcome, with multiple endings. * Customization: Players can customize the protagonist's appearance, weapons, and gang. * Realism and Detail: Attention to detail in the setting, period-appropriate clothing, weapons, and architecture to enhance immersion. * Real Deaths Mode: Also a mode where it is 1 - 2 shots and you’re dead (like in real life). You know how rockstar does the thing where you can take many shots and still be alive, unlike real life. Well we should still have that as the default, because it probably is more fun and better for the average player, but have a mode also where you only die in 1 or 2 shots, but at the same time other people should only die in 1 or 2 shots (like real life). Visual and Audio Design * Visuals: Gritty, realistic graphics capturing the post-war era’s rugged and diverse landscapes. * Audio: Period-appropriate music, immersive soundscapes, and strong voice acting to convey the protagonist’s journey. Conclusion By incorporating these elements, you can offer a rich, engaging experience that combines historical depth with the freedom and excitement of an open-world outlaw adventure. This could also work as a really good assassins creed game, but I doubt ubisoft would be able to pull it off nowadays.
Red Dead Exception with Landon Rickets is actually the best fucking idea ever. It has to starr him and get him well-known until the point that him being mentioned in red dead redemption seems more like a cameo.
Ngl I think it would be fun to have a game called “Red Dead Regression” where you start out as like a Marshall family man with a dark past and slowly devolve back into a life of crime. Basically start out as the Sheriff in Strawberry and end up as Micah Bell.
I've never supported an Read Dead sequel ideas after RDR2. I think the franchise should rest now that its told the complete story and move onto a different Read Dead franchise. But this is a good one. Reminds me of the story of Arthur's father.
this is so late but i need this idea to be somewhere out there. Its basically just a normal gang they can have whatever lore the biggest part should be how they were involved with arthur and the gang maybe a gang in guerma and while ur trying to rob some gold bars somewhere you see arthur shooting a cannon and making a submarine go down. Red dead 2 is a perfect game instead of making an even better game i think the best idea should be to make a normal (Still decent) game on a lower scale that further defines the old games more while making the new game fun with whatever lore added, kinda how when we watch the avengers we love it its so cool and when we see it from lets say deadpool 2's pov or even spiderman post endgame, the avengers are considered legends and achieving that status is huge for anyone
Alright so a while back I heard an amazing concept for an RDR prequel. In RDR2, there is a conversation between Tilly and Arthur where Arthur says something like "We haven't had to kill anyone in camp...well there was that one time, but he was a traitor." The "traitor" would be the main character of rdr3. The game would take place before rdr2 when the gang is still being formed, but it does not have to predominantly feature the gang, since we already know how that ends. Throughout the story, the protagonist figures out just how crazy Dutch is, and he is branded a traitor and killed by Arthur as an act of blind faith for Dutch. The epilogue would be about a young Arthur. This definitely doesn't fix any problems addressed in the video, but it's still a good idea. Great video by the way Edit: This is the most likes I've ever gotten on youtube lol. Also Act Man actually replied to my comment. That's crazy lol.
That's a really awesome idea, but the story for the character should be the "traitor" turns against the gang because he wants to save his family or reunite with his family after killing another family when doing a robbery. From there, he has a conflict within himself and the gang. See how evil Dutch is, tries to save himself, his family, and maybe others in the gang. The "Traitor" saves his family as his redemption, then is killed by Authur, completing the story and showing the start of the gang back in the 1880-1890's.
This is one of the better fan ideas I've seen. I like it. It actually makes sense that someone could suss out the sort of man Dutch really was far before the events of RDR2. There's a chance that whatever he did to the girl on the boat before the story kicked off, he's done in the past. The reason that it took them all so long to figure out Dutch was nuts in RDR2 was simple; they're all lost souls. They don't have good judgement, and they certainly didn't want to believe their leader was more lost than they were so they turned a blind eye to it as long as possible. A character that saw this really early on and worked against him... oh wait the only problem with this is you might end up playing as an O'Driscoll. Because it seems it would be Colm or someone like him that sussed Dutch out early.
Unfortunately, according to R* current rate, a new addition to Red Dead Redemption is scheduled to be released around half past the heat death of the universe
Red dead revolution, you are a gunslinger caught up in the civil war, depending on your choices you help either the north or the south. You do heists and either piss off one side or the other and can meet a lot if weird characters along the way . Another is red dead gold rush . You are robbing prospectors and trains and saloons in California in 1849. Or the Klondike . Some new venue we haven’t seen in red dead
@@Ravager-u2v thanks. It’s been like 5-6 years since we got a red dead game. At some point we will need new characters and scenarios because the vocal cast will be dead from old age. I cannot imagine someone else playing Arthur or Dutch or John. Their voices are iconic. Maybe if it’s like 18 year old Dutch maybe
make it Actman! the game's reactivity and interactivity (even during its random encounters) that kept the world thriving w/ this much stuff happening and to do
The historical timing isn’t quite perfect, but following Charles as he ends up in Canada and gets involved in the Red River Rebellion could be a pretty fun game.
I like the quote at the start of Alan Wake 1. The unanswered mystery is what stays with us the longest, and it's what we'll remember in the end. It perfectly sums up the rest of unanswered questions left by the games.
So true, look what they did to Alien, the first movie has this mystery about the origin of the xenomorph, it was perfect. Now with Covenant we know who made them and the explanation sucks imo
The same problem exists though, that we know sorta what ends up happening. Natives get driven to reservations or forced into living with white people society as the us manifests is destiny
@@joemamarama335 That's not exactly any different from the player of RDR 1 and 2 already knowing that the Wild West ends up getting flattened by industrial civilization. The argument made by the video is that the main character of a new game should be one whose fate is currently unknown or ambiguous, not that stories about dying cultures or fleeting historical moments should be avoided.
Exactly. Go the opposite route. They might have to take the "redemption" out of the title, but there's massive potential on turning Arthur's and John's story of "bad man turn good" on it's head. It worked wonders before. Make a new story, only linked to the Van der Linde gang in cameos and stuff, where the protagonist is initially a "good" person and life shapes them into a demon, BUT give them a strong relatable reason for that journey... Like Walter White in Breaking Bad, or the Joker in the Joaquin Phoenix movie.
Rddr 3 1849 gold rush. A rancher in California discovers gold on his land, and soon after a evil company kills his family and takes his land and leaves him for dead. Then the rancher heals up and goes out for revenge to get his land back and avenge his family's death.
I have an idea: A spinoff where Dutch successfully takes the gang to tahiti. Micah is killed off in the ship because John mistakes him for a giant rat and shoots him in the face(he had too much moonshine). The gang successfully arrives on Tahiti but unfortunately for them it wasn't the mango season so they couldn't become mango farmers like they dreamed 😢. They're money and resources eventually run out and they become broke. The title would be "RED DEAD REGRET"
@@kdmdjd-jj7zq dutch became a psychopathic person near the end of it all. actually, I think he always was. the only reason he had the entire gang was because he needed some form of validation to fuel his ego: he was a narsascistic liar, and he only used a promise of new lands and future to promote his ideals onto his gang. it appears as a commune, but it's just a facade. the ragtag crew he acquires only serves the purpose of notoriety and nothing more. it may be a bit of a stretch but I guess you can compare dutch to homelander with their needing of attention and love for their own validation.
Completely agree with the mystery surrounding the Blackwater Massacre. Not knowing exactly what went down but only having vague answers from various characters to try and paint the full picture makes the event all the more intriguing to me. Especially since Arthur wasn’t present during the robbery, it makes sense that since he doesn’t fully know, neither should we.
Not only that but it also helps with future replays of both games. Especially rdr2. As much as I know Dutch is a narcissistic, gaslighting manipulator, there is a magic to his character that you cant help but feel that slight want to love that can only be held because we haven't seen what happened during that massacre. If we had visual proof, we lose that effective motivation which would make you want to do the missions concerning Dutch. If we see it, we would be treating Dutch like Micah the whole time and not want to really play any parts of the game, even the genuine fun parts like fishing with him and Hosea or even the race from the swamp back to the camp
@@Jay-gf8tm I am pretty sure red dead 2 already answer why there is beef, it was something about Colm killing Dutch lover and him killing Colm brother in revenge I think.
You are so right about the black water massacre. There was something so powerful about how in rdr2 the gang was just reeling from it and couldn’t even bring themselves to talk about it. Like they were so traumatized that they couldn’t. And not knowing what happened allowed me as a player to fill in the gaps with my imagination. Whereas if they showed something it wouldn’t have had that same effect.
I’d like to see a RDRIII prequel where you play as Davey Callendar. You and your brother Mac start out as outlaws much like Butch and Sundance. You’re there for the start of the Van Der Linde gang and see how that all happens. The Redemption could be that you can see Dutch’s true nature and where he will eventually lead the gang and decide to save your brother from the outlaw life, but lose your life trying to escape in Blackwater Massacre. You’d probably play as Mac (who’s said to have died but no body was ever found) in the prologue like the other RDR games so you can still 100% the game.
No offense, I’ve seen this idea countless times and it would just feel so hamfisted, cramming major story beats in a short time frame. Such a story would just rub way too much with RDR2, and it would be extremely difficult to pull off. It would also severely detract from the mystery of Blackwater and whether or not Dutch was always the way he was or lost his mind. Also, not every side character needs their own special and epic story. These two can continue to serve as what they are, the typical and ruthless outlaw that were of the time, nothing wrong with a one dimensional character if it serves a purpose.
I think that wouldn't feel right for the existing fan base. Dutch is a perfect story character with all that we experienced, heard about him, and also didn't see, like how good of a father figure he was before to build that bond with Arthur. Left to our imagination is a better way of keeping the existing masterpieces in good memory.
Hosea had a wife, who he lost. This could start as an Older Young Adult Arthur and Younger John, as two characters that were street orphans. They end up robbing Hosea, getting caught and escaping only to run into Dutch. The two men are amazed at the talents of the two boys, and teach them how to rob banks, shops and coaches. (There's literally a clipping of the first bank heist they did)
I need this game, that being said i'm reading in comments that the lead writer for RDR 1&2 has left Rockstar this fact would worry me on further installments of the Van der Linde gang.
He did but people make theory’s tht maybe Micah didn’t go through with it or that Milton said it to lie and deceive author, theirs just a lot of room for ppl to make their own theory’s and takes on it all.
He did, but he could also have been lying just to spread some in fighting. I'm of the faction where Milton told the truth. Why would he lie? I've seen a great thumbnail of him and Ross where Milton is labeled an "Honest Killer" and Ross is a "Cunning Liar." It's makes perfect sense with their characters. Milton gave the gang so many chances and none of them ever took so he killed them. Ross played John like fool doing his dirty work and killed him in the end because he learned from Milton's mistakes, never negotiate with savage killers.
It’s still a second hand account and Milton could be lying. His point was there’s no definitive scene that proves that he is so it’s still can be left up to the audience to interpret it
I was under the impression that Micah was in with the pinkertons because of their presence in the post credits scene, somehow finding the body of Micah and the other goons on top of that mountain. Thought that was meant to imply he was attempting to set up Dutch in Some kind of bust
I think a game that is set in the aftermath of the civil war with a young boy-solder coming of age, heading west as an outsider, having adventure and shinanagins in the Old West/Mexico and then getting invoved in Banana Republics, only to turn from heel in his older age and come back to the states to right a wrong as his last redemption arc would be interesting and open up some history/settings that Americans are not as familiar with
@@Armetar he was, but let me tell you - he wasn't the only one writing these stories! An RDR3 story would be great as well, lets not give him all the credit for all the great rockstar stories in the past...
@@radigeorgiev9662 I wasn't saying he was the only one. I mean rockstar doesn't really have amazing stories in most of their games most of them are just ok or good and that's about it
Well said. Always bothered me when I see people wanting a "when the gang got started" story. Not EVERYTHING needs to be explained. Some ambiguity serves this story incredibly well, especially in regards to Dutch.
There was a comment I read some time ago, it was something like "We could be a rough Marshall, doing questionable acts to keep peace, through story we get more clean and the end is we get killed by a young Arthur in a bank robbery or smth" I dunno, I kinda like the idea, but I don't think it would work
Why Can't We Have Another Batman by Rocksteady? God, I miss Kevin Conroy so much. He was perfect. I got a voice acting background and have to say that his voice has been such an inspiration for me since the Batman the Animated Series. The vocal training was really tough, sometimes without noticeable results for months but actors like him are a great impulse to not give up. You almost saw me as Leon in those new RE games :) Great video btw!
It would be interesting is if red dead (the book in gta) was cannon and jack wrote it after he did a bunch of outlaw things, redeeming himself by writing the book.
Changing the cast completely isn't only the right call, it's the only call. Every other story is finished, Sadie and Charles are the most open ended but we can infer what happens to them after the epilogue.
@@z-herb8006 It just wouldn't. Not only have we seen the ending of the gang as a whole, we've seen the ending of every member of the gang. A lot of people draw that false equivalency of "RDR2 was a prequel to RDR1, RDR3 could do the same!" without realizing why RDR2 as a prequel worked is because of how little was known about the gang. We knew the name and 4(ish) members of the fallen gang, John, Bill, Javier, and Dutch. We didn't know about Arthur or Sadie or Micah. That's why it worked, because it was more or less completely new. Moreover, we can't follow the plotline of another gang member because none of them had a redemption arc. No matter what way you try to slice it, this gang, these characters, their over. There is no more story to tell with anyone in the Van Der Linde gang.
@@yaboyospoons7570 we don’t know jack about the gang early days lol, it’s all could litterally be argued the same for rdr2 sorry and that worked, given the right story and writers I do believe rdr3 will too

I got an idea for the Red Dead Redemption 3 ….how about in the beginning of the game we kick it off right after the event of Red dead 2 where Jack kills Ross …a Pinkerton or better yet ,Ross Grandson (witch we’ll call James who’s 18 at the time ) and his family see Jack Murder him. They soon alert the police and a huge man hunt for Jack ensues. Jack is being chased in hot pursuit by the Pinkertons gang which is lead by Rosses’ Son and Grandson..after a shoot out Jack eventually manages to barely escape by jumping in a river and thus starting the game with James and Jack redemption arc. This game would be different in that you play as Rosses Grandson being a cop looking to avenge his grandfathers death or bringing Jack to justice meanwhile discovering who his grandfather really was and how he affected Jacks life . And also being able to play as Jack running away from the law and trying to start a new life on the run..as time progresses James finds Jack and a gunfight ensues and Jacks losses and we think he dies but then London finds him severely injured and takes him to get medical attention…after some time Jacks wakes up and sees London taking care of him..London starts to form a bond with Jack mentoring and opening up to him and showing him the ways of the Gun but after some time James and his Officers find them and a gunfight ensues , one of the crooked cop that’s with James shoots London and kills him thus reigniting a fire in Jack and the whole redemption arc starts all over again 😎💯
I’ve mentioned it somewhere before, but I always said a Charles focused story helping the natives would have been incredible DLC (I was hopeful). But it could be a parallel to the timeline and the plot while maintaining a lot of the similar systems of the two games.
You make some interesting points about moving the story too far back or forward in history and therefore changing the overall feel of the game itself. I think a third game centered around Jack could be done successfully, but as always the wild card is the writing. Matching the depth of those first two games would be no easy feat, and I agree you would need to keep the relevance of Arthur and John's sacrifices (mostly) intact.
I think the way we could avoid damaging Arthur and John's sacrifices and still include Jack in the game is by not making it abaut him. So he could be this inevitable gunslinger or he could be the writer he wanted to be. Perhaps a mix of the two but the game will center around an altogether different character that ends up involved with Jack in some way.
For Jack I think it should take place after ww1 that way we can still have feel Wild Westish and also combine it with the modernism. Maybe have driving cars a thing along with horses, they both have there own advantages and disadvantages like cars are good for driving around in black water(by this point a massive city) and also if you do ride a horse instead of a car you get fined for doing that. Riding a horse could be good for stealth and off-roading. That’s just one example of course, with the right hands it could be a good story
Maybe the RDR3 could feature Davey Callander as the protagonist, but it wouldn’t make sense since he died in the Blackwater massacre or I could see us playing as someone that was in the Van Der Linde gang before joining and the after credit scene could be Dutch approaching us. These sound cool but a new story would probably be better.
_There’s only one thing left that everyone’s been talking about since the beginning…_ I heard that *Red Dead Revolver* is *underrated* and has *Red Harlow* as the *first Red Dead protagonist.* Why not do a remake for that game instead of a trilogy? Then again, Rockstar has a track record for making horrible remakes.
Rockstar never actually made any remakes. They outsourced all their remakes and remasters to other companies, most notably Grove Street Games, who is a mobile game studio. I doubt they will stay affiliated with them for much longer after messing up GTA twice, but if rockstar made a remake in house, I have no doubt that it would be at least decent.
With the way RDR1 & RDR2 went, the only way to do another game would have to be a new story, with new characters, in a new area. It would be *INCREDIBLY* hard to pull off successfully. Especially with convincing people familiar with 1 & 2 to care about new people when it’s in the same world as the older characters.
to be fair though if anyone can pull it off, it’s rockstar. i remember when people said pre release that we wouldn’t care about arthur because we all just wanted to play as john, oh boy were we wrong.
Also, maybe you play the role of helping someone get redeemed rather than you yourself again. A cool role where the protag helps the antagonist get redeemed maybe.
@@SuperCasperman It’s a challenge of making a game set in the same world with legendary characters and being told “We know you want to know what they’re doing, but we want you to focus on these new people.”
The franchise already did that to huge success. Red Dead Redemption was an anthological sequel to Read Dead Revolver(released in 2004 to mixed reviews). Rockstar does that constantly with Red Dead's sister franchise GTA, they definitely could do it with Red Dead.
Starting with a new cast and location could be invigorating for the franchise. Your point of starting with the title inspired my idea. "Red Dead Regression" could be a title for a story of someone who put the life of crime behind them and started a family only for it to all be taken from them because of their past. They end up going back to a life of crime. It could start small where the character beats information out of people and end with them being recognized as their old selves.
That ruins part of RDR's thematic throughline, though. Jack's ending is meaningful BECAUSE he won't do that, his ending is meaningful BECAUSE it's ultimately a tragedy despite everyone's best efforts. That's why the "I wanna be a gunslinger!" interaction in 2 is so heartbreaking, is because we all know what happens to him, and it's the one thing everyone wanted to stop.
@@paragonpoints8420 How do we know he wouldn't, though? We know he still isn't out of the game for now but we don't know for sure his entire future after that, fate isn't set in stone just because you chose to holster your pistol one time...
@@alondvorkin2762 It doesn't matter if it's possible for him to do it, I'm saying he SHOULDN'T do it, you should not write him to do it. Doing so ruins the meaning and tragedy of his story and sacrifices it for the sake of a generic happy ending...which ruins the point of Red Dead Redemption as a duology.
@paragonpoints8420 We already know he lives to be old, though. Anything could've happened within that time, and seeing how this was around the time WW1 started it's not far off to have him do something young and stupid. Even though he's smart he still acts a lot like his dad.
The red dead redemption games are all about redemption and becoming good from bad, but what about a "red dead regression" or "ruin" or "revenge" which flips the idea bad to good on its head. The protagonist should be someone whose life was ruined by the van der lin gang.
The reason why redemption fits so well, not just because it's iconic, but because you can make out Red DEAD in Redemption. Just say it slower and it will click.
Really do think, the story of a lawman, sherif or Marshall with a hard life, hard choices to make, people to protect, gangs to help or go after would be great
15:18 micha is foreshadowed as a rat right from the beginning, you can find a slip belonging to him that outlines the bounty on Dutch. He was playing both sides, trying to get the money from blackwater, and trying to turn dutch in for that extra reward.
There is no redemption in that story tho. It would literally end the way the first game started. No one was redeemed and they were far from it. Especially Arthur, y’all just need to let the story of Dutch’s gang go. It was fully fleshed out already and amazing story. Diehard fans will be the death of the franchise
@@bix2001 Nah they needa just leave the Dutch gang alone if a 3rd comes out. The story has already been fully fleshed out. Don’t turn RD into the Fast n Furious of gaming

You could have the third setting where he is an old man. At the start of the game, he narrates to someone for his memoirs, and then you play out the stories he's narrating and every so often it goes back to him in the present talking to the individual writing down what he's saying. It could be his final days of his life as he is dying, and his memoirs are his way of preserving the spirit and memories of the wild west.
I can imagine Red Dead Redemption 3 continuing the life and story of Jack Marston. I want him to live a long life where he fights in World War I, watches technology change as the decades pass, fights in World War II, fights in the Vietnam War, finds a woman, gets married, and has a family. Maybe at the start of the game, it will be 1914 I believe where people are still riding horses around. Jack may ride a horse for awhile but he starts noticing more and more cars. The player can eventually choose to use a Ford Model T car at some point (which was in the first RDR). At the start of the game he can use the same guns he had in RDR1. But as time goes on, the weaponry gets better and more advanced. Maybe he can get his hands on a tommy gun as the 1920's come around. The player can decide what type of route Jack can go down. Such as, he can be a bounty hunter for awhile, maybe start a small shop business, hunt animals/sell them, sell cars, sell treasures, sell guns/ammo, become an outlaw and rob people. The game should have multiple stores and merchants like the first and second RDRs. In the 1940s, Jack can fight in World War II. I guess think of COD WAW or WWII in third-person. You can use Dead-eye in battle and what not. Maybe after WWII is over, have Jack go to sleep, and he has a nightmare of fighting zombies. Similar to Nazi Zombies or Undead Nightmare. As the 1970's come along, he may fight in the Vietnam War as an older man. Maybe towards the end of the game have Jack retire, spend more time with his wife, adult children, and grandkids. Then eventually, he dies from getting old. Maybe they can show a cutscene where Jack is writing the "Red Dead" book which I believe can be found in GTA5. Also, if Jack is lucky he can still be alive into the 2000's. There could be a cameo of Michael, Franklin, Trevor, Niko Bellic, Luis Lopez, Johnny Klebitz, CJ, or some other GTA character when they were younger that meets Jack at some point which will conform for people that both RDR and GTA are in the same universe. Imagine all of the history that Jack will live through: Kennedy being president, him being shot, Nixon, Jimmy Carter, Bay of Pigs Invasion, "Alien" hitting the theaters when it first came out, "Predator" with Arnold, Terminator series, and a bunch of other stuff. Who knows, once word gets out about the Van Der Linde gang and the events they went through, people may right about that stuff and study it for history. Jack himself may even pop up in some of these books saying rumors that he is still alive and the final member of the gang type of stuff. Maybe an author will have the chance to meet Jack who wrote a book about the Van Der Linde gang and he is just geeked out by it because he studied and researched that stuff. Author or fan: "My grandfather told me about Dutch and his gang when I was a kid. I remember writing a section about a little boy being kidnapped. That was you?" Jack: "Yes, that was me and happened a long time ago." Jack himself would be around for so long that he became a legend, a piece of living history that is being wrote about in books and studied about in history class at schools. Maybe in the game, you could go to a museum and see some familiar items like Arthur's hat, Micah's gun, notes from the Van Der Linde gang found at their camp, John's gun, biographies, and what not. So, in this game Jack lives through all of the 1900's and will die at 100+ years old. We could have a scene where he goes to a disco party dancing while listening to "Funky Town" and later watches "Roadhouse" with friends. Maybe during the film, Jack and his friends smoke weed...maybe have the character go through a drug phase. Also, Jack's style of clothing will change as he ages too. Eventually, he will be wearing jeans and a T-shirt, a suit, or other modern clothing. The possibilities are endless but this is my idea for Red Dead Redemption 3...the life of Jack Marston.
Wait, Mickey wasn't in the war. HE WAS A GUN SLINGER. And he is the main character, he gets hit on the head with a Tahiti-bound-trolley and goes crazy. It could be called Red Dead Crazy Gay Guy.
There was a leak by a RDR1 Script writer two years ago of the original script. Landon Ricketts is actually just Jack Swift, he changed his name after faking his death at Griffon's Mansion. The reveal was cut late in the beta to save time and avoid excess explanations. So we already have a prequel for him.
Since the Jack Swift connection was cut, it was never established; therefore, leaves for an entirely different back story for Landon Ricketts based on what was provided by characters and wild west story books in RDR2, and his appearance in RDR1. Without providing an "excessive explanation," I think the characters of Landon Ricketts and Jack Swift were established to be completely different persons in the final productions of the games.
TBH, after looking at old videos of Jack Swift, he reminds me more of Josiah Trelawny than anything remotely close to that of Landon Ricketts. All cut scenes with Jack Swift: th-cam.com/video/0vKFsYnzvRk/w-d-xo.html

It’d keep the theme of redemption and have a new character we know nothing about.
It would lead to the formation of dutches gang ending violently in black water

An important point is missing from the video. The lead writer of Red Dead Redemption I & II, and co-owner of Rockstar Games, left the company a few years ago. He was the visionary behind the story of Red Dead Redemption. We see from Blizzard how stories end when the creative minds leave.

A good example to understand Act Man's point of a story/information to leave out to the imagination is, when Nick Fury in The Winter Soldier says the line "...The last time I trusted someone I lost an eye."
That left so many questions and implications open for the audience's imagination, we thought we wanted the answer but we didnt...
And when we did got the answer and learned how he did actually got the scar in Captain Marvel it undermined that powerfull scene from the the previous movie.
Bro lost his eye to a fucking space cat

Gold Rush setting would really be sick!!

Nah your wrong not even close
In old Westerns made through the 1920's and 1940's, the hero(s) tend to always wear black outfits and black hats, meanwhile villains and antagonists tend to wear lighter colors and white hats to make them pop out more on black and white TV. This was really only changed with the onset of the mass popularity of the western genre in the late 1940's and 1950's and it's normally attributed that the success of The Lone Ranger series alone led to the change. In RDR2, Micah is the only one of the gang who wears a white hat the entire time, signifying he's the villain and antagonist from the start.
@@TheStretch35 That's cool! Thanks for sharing!

That would be cool as hell. Imagine playing as a Mexican exile like Javier or sumn
Javier? Not a bad shout!

Ooooh I like this ☝️
I STRONGLY disagree with not showing the black water massacre.
After you beat the epilogue of RDR2, you can go to bed and an option will pop up:
*Continue to Red Dead Redemption* ?
Then you can play the first game with the 2nd game’s engine, graphics, and some of the newer mechanics not seen in the first game. Maybe even have the whole map from RDR2 available with new DLC side missions up in those areas.
It would be nice if some of the VA’s could come back and add a couple lines of dialogue referencing Arthur or Hosea. Just make it feel like one big odyssey.
I don’t know if that’s feasible, but I’d love to see something like that someday.

Except there is zero redemption
He explains in this very video why none of this makes sense
No you’re genuinely dumb. Uncle was never a bad ass. Never had a bounty on him. Best option is to bring back red Harlow the man that started it all. The games are named after him ffs but no one knows about him. Red dead revolver the first red dead game.

i like this but what i think is that it should start the same as yours but not switching to Arthur and instead being uncles pov of rdr2 and the redemption part of him should be when he sacrafices himself to save john and jack in rdr1 and in his final moments its a flash back of his most heart whelming moments of his life
I just finished the strreams i can’t believe you’re still in the making of a review
Game Title: "Read Dead Reckoning"
Plot Overview
Prologue:
* From Slavery to Soldier
* Opening Cutscene: The game starts with a cinematic cutscene showing the protagonist's life as a slave and their eventual escape.
Act 1: The Outlaw Life
* Post-War Setting: The main game begins after the Civil War.
* More depth to the various characters and plot points:
* Maybe add in a romance that is inspired from Django Unchained where he has to go back and free his lover or something.
Act 2: Facing the Consequences
* Rising Tensions: As the protagonist’s infamy grows, they face greater challenges from law enforcement, bounty hunters, and internal betrayal.
Epilogue: Legacy and Reflection
* Resolution: The game concludes with the protagonist reflecting on their journey. This segment varies based on player choices throughout the game, offering different endings that consider the protagonist’s actions and their impact on the world.
* I’m thinking atleast have 2 completely separate endings, so:
* 1 ending that’s actually a happy ending.
Gameplay Features
* Stealth and Survival Mechanics: Crucial during the escape sequence (this is when you’ll learn about it) and useful in heists and escaping pursuers.
Visual and Audio Design
* Visuals: Gritty, realistic graphics capturing the post-war era’s rugged and diverse landscapes.
* Audio: Period-appropriate music, immersive soundscapes, and strong voice acting to convey the protagonist’s journey.
Conclusion
By incorporating these elements, you can offer a rich, engaging experience that combines historical depth with the freedom and excitement of an open-world outlaw adventure.
This could also work as a really good assassins creed game, but I doubt ubisoft would be able to pull it off nowadays.

Great video by the way
Edit: This is the most likes I've ever gotten on youtube lol.
Ohhh the traitor. I like the sound of that
This is one of the better fan ideas I've seen.
This might actually be the best idea

@@joffles6516Yup. I don’t agree with him. I don’t think it’s an issue.
Dutch, Hosea, and Arthur founding the gang. Sure no redemption but there's so many possibility's for a great story.
Red dead plan
Good One...
Didn't Milton straight up say Micah was the rat, or am I misremembering?
Yes, but this is assuming Milton isn't lying to Arthur. No reason to believe he would always tell the truth, quite the opposite, actually.
I think a game that is set in the aftermath of the civil war with a young boy-solder coming of age, heading west as an outsider, having adventure and shinanagins in the Old West/Mexico and then getting invoved in Banana Republics, only to turn from heel in his older age and come back to the states to right a wrong as his last redemption arc would be interesting and open up some history/settings that Americans are not as familiar with
Without Dan Houser I really doubt that Rockstar can create another legendary story in this Red dead Saga.

Well said. Always bothered me when I see people wanting a "when the gang got started" story. Not EVERYTHING needs to be explained. Some ambiguity serves this story incredibly well, especially in regards to Dutch.
Honestly Jack meeting Sadie Adler would be a great start. Lady Adler was a total badass and yet is still alive.
There was a comment I read some time ago, it was something like "We could be a rough Marshall, doing questionable acts to keep peace, through story we get more clean and the end is we get killed by a young Arthur in a bank robbery or smth" I dunno, I kinda like the idea, but I don't think it would work
why it wouldn't work?
Why Can't We Have Another Batman by Rocksteady? God, I miss Kevin Conroy so much. He was perfect. I got a voice acting background and have to say that his voice has been such an inspiration for me since the Batman the Animated Series. The vocal training was really tough, sometimes without noticeable results for months but actors like him are a great impulse to not give up. Main character is Cowboy Kent Rollins and his chuckwagon
RDR1 was a finished story, rdr2 still worked, rdr3 being a prequel is possible and could definitely work if rdr2 work
@@z-herb8006 It just wouldn't.

And also being able to play as Jack running away from the law and trying to start a new life on the run..as time progresses James finds Jack and a gunfight ensues and Jacks losses and we think he dies but then London finds him severely injured and takes him to get medical attention…after some time Jacks wakes up and sees London taking care of him..London starts to form a bond with Jack mentoring and opening up to him and showing him the ways of the Gun but after some time James and his Officers find them and a gunfight ensues , one of the crooked cop that’s with James shoots London and kills him thus reigniting a fire in Jack and the whole redemption arc starts all over again 😎💯
landon ricketts - the epilogue of him is just chilling in mexico

Chill idea. Too chill… *wabam!*
I’ve mentioned it somewhere before, but I always said a Charles focused story helping the natives would have been incredible DLC (I was hopeful). But it could be a parallel to the timeline and the plot while maintaining a lot of the similar systems of the two games.
It would be good as a dlc but not as a mainline title. It needs to keep the Wild West cowboy gunslinger vibe going
_There’s only one thing left that everyone’s been talking about since the beginning…_
I heard that *Red Dead Revolver* is *underrated* and has *Red Harlow* as the *first Red Dead protagonist.* Why not do a remake for that game instead of a trilogy? Then again, Rockstar has a track record for making horrible remakes.
Rockstar never actually made any remakes. They outsourced all their remakes and remasters to other companies, most notably Grove Street Games, who is a mobile game studio. I doubt they will stay affiliated with them for much longer after messing up GTA twice, but if rockstar made a remake in house, I have no doubt that it would be at least decent.
Has R* made remakes?
@@Clkr3yes the GTA definitive edition
@@Cheese23145nah, that's more of a remaster. Remake is literally re-making the whole game
NO MORE REMAKES
Lmfao how is that hard? You had no idea who the ppl were in 1 and loved the game🤦🏼♂️
So if they do it again it's almost impossible? 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏼♂️
Hosea does have a story to be told. Just before chapter 2 dutch says "We have all made mistakes hosea *Every last one of us*"
I agree. We should have another Red Dead that isn't a Redemption story.
This better be a joke.

Lower back redemption : Uncle's nightmare
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Maybe Jack's final arc could be ABOUT how he manages to break the cycle by at first embracing but eventually rejecting the way of the outlaw?
@@paragonpoints8420 Maybe it will be like Saul Goodman - who chose to settle into a life of crime in the present day but eventually changed his ways.
They should do a sequel and set it during prohibition. You don’t play as jack, but he’s in charge of the bootlegging operation.
The red dead redemption games are all about redemption and becoming good from bad, but what about a "red dead regression" or "ruin" or "revenge" which flips the idea bad to good on its head. The protagonist should be someone whose life was ruined by the van der lin gang.
thats actually such a cool concept omg

The reason why redemption fits so well, not just because it's iconic, but because you can make out Red DEAD in Redemption. Just say it slower and it will click.

"I've been looking forward to this" - Count Dooku
Really do think, the story of a lawman, sherif or Marshall with a hard life, hard choices to make, people to protect, gangs to help or go after would be great
15:18 micha is foreshadowed as a rat right from the beginning, you can find a slip belonging to him that outlines the bounty on Dutch. He was playing both sides, trying to get the money from blackwater, and trying to turn dutch in for that extra reward.
And agent Milton straight up admitted that micha was the rat. Im surprised he forgot about that part.
What you said about the Blackwater massacre, is what I always thought. Arthur‘s uncertainty and Dutch‘s intransperence are a key story element.
There is no redemption in that story tho. It would literally end the way the first game started. No one was redeemed and they were far from it. Especially Arthur, y’all just need to let the story of Dutch’s gang go. It was fully fleshed out already and amazing story. Diehard fans will be the death of the franchise

While sounding awesome, I think the concept is ruined by Ass Creed.
That's the plot of the third (or fourth?) "Call of Juarez". It's done to a hilarious effect and keeps the story & gameplay fun.
So it’s gonna be a beggging for money simulator?
