If you were put in charge of one mission - to take down the North Korean regime - a mission that had previously left world leaders beaten and befuddled, where failure could result in changes to the political and physical landscape for generations to come….what would you do?
And time is of the essence here, as the longer you wait, the likelier it is for Dear Leader to complete development of nukes capable of reaching the continental US, or perhaps anywhere else in the world. Actually, according to some reports, it might already be too late.
But whether North Korea actually fires is another question altogether. If we are to rid the world of this nefarious regime - I’m talking the regime not the people - we have to consider the options. One common thread I notice in all of these options is the need for a replacement regime. No matter which option is chosen (except the first, because at that point everybody's dead), you still need something to fill the vacuum. For a nation like Korea, whose traditional culture is partially built around Confucianism and rigid social/family hierarchy, perhaps a constitutional monarchy with a limited political mandate (just enough veto power to make things interesting, let's say), enforcing a strict national policy of armed neutrality. You would basically be turning Korea into the Switzerland or Monaco of Asia. Everybody and their mom starts opening bank accounts there, you have a hereditary dynasty in place to provide a replacement for the Kim family mythology and devotion, but more importantly than that, you get that much-needed stability you may not get from a completely elected system.

I think a survey asking people to choose from each of these options would be interesting. It would reveal how sensible the American voter actually is when it comes to foreign policy.
For comparison, conduct the same survey in South Korea and Japan. Expect to find huge differences.

NK can simply discountinue the existing currency bills and introduce new currency bills. Would be temporary inconvenience though and would attract retaliation.
easier said than done. How do you suppose they not only inject trillions of units of currency into the economy, but also take out every existing bill? It's also impossible to set a real value for something like a new currency, it takes decades for it to become stable.

they could also introduce rationing, thats probably already in place. so they not only need money to buy things, they also need ration stamps, the money is already worthless
Keep in mind they'd need to get it from other countries they don't have the infrastructure to be printing all their own money and switching it continuously, also you clearly weren't paying attention part of the plan would be to cut off their ability to make said money as well so they would only have the choices of using their now over saturated currency or to use foreign currency, which I'm sure would also be conveniently finding it's way into the country in smaller amounts but still enough to make it viable as currency there

Speaking of the third option of an armed invasion mentioned at 4:56, I would imagine that apart from targeting the right military personnel, it will also definitely involve destroying the giant bronze statues of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il (which, to the people there, is the most heinous crime one can ever commit against North Korea and its regime) in multiple locations. But, there will certainly be limitations. First of, such a mission like this will be incredibly perilous, and second, such destruction to the statues will involve lots of planning with other countries (of course, who are not allies of North Korea and can take months, or more likely, years), and the strikes must be done collectively. The destruction to the statues has to be swift and in one fell swoop. Thirdly, we must also consider how unpredictable North Korea can be in terms of retaliation, and lastly, there are the aftereffects to consider as well.
Their army sucks. Very few are allowed weapons and most are underfed.

there's a historic way to destroy any country. Basically, if a country is too big, it can't manage things, which results in a collapse, but that method results in all other countries that gave themselves up for the task getting destroyed as well so it's an effective method, but dangerrous
