Thanks Annie for all of your videos. I've done Feldenkrais on and off over the years. It helped me recover from Frozen Shoulder. I also many years ago was told I had spinal degeneration and would never be pain free, would eventually have to have a brace. Neither has happened. I am pain free. And have not had surgery. I'm now 67 years. So feldenkrais has been the only thing that has helped to be able to be pain free and have a normal life. Recently I've had some rib pain and have started to do the excerises regularly. Most days I have no pain. Thanks again for sharing your videos. ♥️♥️
This is very reassuring when your back is in spasm. I hadn’t used the lifting the pelvis/ shoulder before but it makes complete sense. Lovely presenter, and outdoors too. Thank you. Sandy
Hi Phoebe, the concern I have with sleeping is of twisting unconsciously when needing to move on your side. I would recommend having several pillows or couch cushions under legs for sleeping so you can move out of the position more easily to another sidelying position. I have some side-lying positions as well for disc and low back injury and will try and make those videos. If you try sleeping in this position or the other kneeling position, be careful with how your move out of this position. Sometimes sleeping for a short time in this position can be helpful-- as well as in the kneeling position-- kneeling over a couch or low bed (need 90 degree angle with support on hip bones). Let me know how this works for you.
This position will help with healing in many cases because the support of having the weight of legs on bench (or couch) will help with circulation, reduce nerve impingement for healing of nerves and ligaments. Healing also will involve learning to move and sit with clearer support and alignment-- so yes this will help healing, and... you need to also address how you are moving and sitting/standing.
You can do this very often - many times throughout the day, particularly if you are in a lot of pain and with swelling. I would recommend intermittent walking to help move circulation in the area as well. This is a position for relief and support with back pain.
This position can help with disc issues-- the idea is to reduce the pinching/weight on the joint to help migrate the disc back into position. There is more to do with disc recovery -- prevention of reinjury, gentle toning and aligning is important. But these rest positions are very helpful for healing in order to get to the next stage of rebuilding support and alignment.
Thank you again, I do a version of this to relax my back but appreciated the little lift of the pelvis and shoulders.

Hello Annie mam
Is this help in l4-l5 disc bulge recover purposes?
Please suggest...
