  • This is a video of the synchronized swimming swordfish focussing on the first leg.
There will be 3 concepts covered.
    1. Center of gravity and center of buoyancy
    2. The body moves only 90 degrees and the legs move 180 degrees.
    3. The hands at the half way point.
You will be introduced to a 3 scull start.
Check out my blog describing the lift.

Excellent - thank you! I forgot to get palms to face downward so as not to pull the swimmer deeper but instead to lift the leg upwards.

I'm a bit unsure as to which direction the hands are facing?
Front lay out: palms facing the floorFirst scull: palm facing upDiagonal scull: also facing upScull at thighs: ?And when the center of gravity changes: palms facing away from the body?
Got a bit confused when you mentioned the girl was doing it wrong.
    Thank you for your help!

+FredandGeorgequad I am going to do a blog post about this and write it out better. In the mean time, on the third scull her hands need to be under the thighs and hands need to face her toes. Her hands were wrong and are facing her head. So she is pulling herself to her feet instead of pushing herself over. You are correct on the other directions of the hands. Does that help? Thanks for you question.
