    Every synchronized swimmer starts from a young age and works hard to achieve their dreams. Anyone who thinks its easy to do or athletes aren’t good enough should just get in and try on their own. Great video and good luck to all the swimmers!!!

    I am a trained lap swimmer and I am amazed how I learned some of these moves already either in training or just playing in the pool pretending to be a mermaid...I will try them this weekend...looks like a super workout!

      Great to hear you found value and potential workout! Looks great on the outside, while very exhausting underwater :) Good luck this weekend!

      Up for the challenge! Used swim over 6,000 yards in my youth! Swam at college level. Remember training at the swimming hall of fame...synchronized swimmers were in the pool next to us. I may post a video! Do you do egg beaters holding a rubber brick above your head? Is dolphin kick or the frog kick used in synchronized swimming. Thanks!

      @SwimTechniqueTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's classic! :) Holding a lifeguard rubber brick or even weight plate created lots of muscles soreness. Thanks for reminding us about those great types of trainings.

      Tried it today naturally need practice. Would be interested in taking a few classes. Felt dizzy doing flips in pool. Read this will go away with time. My sister said I reminded her of Miss Piggy and her water scene in the Great Muppet Caper. Lol! Regardless I learned new and old exercise techniques. I might buy a mermaid fin. Thanks again.

      Nice! We definitely appreciate individuals like you who are consistent and persistent with their swimming. Since you mentioned a 'mermaid fin' feel free to checkout our video about it: th-cam.com/video/1zrq2RaX0J0/w-d-xo.html Cheers!

    Last year Swim Technique TV was invited for a workshop in Turkey to empower a few #synchronized #swimming teams. It was a great experience. Thanks to our underwater filming, athletes were able to correct mistakes and improve their swimming skills.
    It's always inspiring working with coaches and athletes who are passionate about success.

    Leon, they use nose clips to prevent water entering their noses. Thank you for watching this video.

  • @SwimTechniqueTV
    @SwimTechniqueTV  10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Filming gives a very good feedback to coaches and athletes. One thing is when a coach or instructor tells an athlete what should be done better and absolutely different story when swimmers can see themselves on the video and able to correct the mistakes. That is really the power of underwater filming. Thank you for watching!

    @beckycooke the first clip is an ibis tipback. You're not supposed to go to a split, the goal is to keep your legs at a 90 degree angle throughout the tipback.

    All swimming videos have the worst music--even Phelps. I think it's just a fact in the universe. However, these are great moves to try for balance and muscle control. Looks like it takes tremendous respiratory endurance. Gets my respect as a swimmer.

      It was very impressive I'm not a coach but my unprofessional opinion is that is ballet leg position they should skull under their butt more. they transition between positions very slowly but don't hold the positions themselves as long

      Not everybody can be great at first. Young athletes are working hard towards their goal and it wouldn't be right to say they are doing bad, especially kids. Thanks for your feedback though and watching the video!
