    Pretty good video. I do want to ask tho, depending on different ships and different scenarios, what is the best way to approach them?

    Could you do a video or do you know of a video that goes over angles from the helmsmans pov?

      I like this idea for sure! I've been meaning to hop back into making some new stuff; feel free to elaborate on anything specific you might like to know, and I'll definitely consider it 🙂. If you haven't already, don't forget to subscribe so you can be alerted to anything new to come in the future

      @CopiousJack I appreciate the speedy response! I notice when I play with friends or randoms that they have a hard time getting/keeping angle. I know good coms are the best way to be an effective team but I'm wondering how it would look in different situations from the helmsmans pov to know when the cannoner has/needs a better angle. My buddy I ply with often has issues with rights and lefts so coms aren't exactly a good way for us to be efficient.

      I can definitely say that being the helmsman is the hardest job and is effectively the captain of your ship. Ultimately, what this means is what they say goes. Whatever happens can be debated afterward. However, everyone must be and stay in sync with the helmsman rule in order for healthy synergy. Mutinous debates during an altercation as opposed to being discussed after add uneeded cross talk and confusion that ensures problematic circumstances to occur; whereas support (even if you disagree) may leave you surprised due to healthy teamwork. The motto I go by is: what did we do right? What did we do wrong? And what was bs 😂. But, it could definitely be fun to expand on for sure!

    I’ve been taking on some skeleton ships and I’ve been in all sorts of situations. I try to place myself behind them or in front of them so they don’t have cannons on me, but then they just turn and I end up in an even poorer place, or even ramming into me. Finding out what to correctly do in those situations is the hard part for me

    • @CopiousJack
      @CopiousJack  ปีที่แล้ว

      Fire on the top deck where their canons are goes a long way in managingthe skeletons; or blunder bombing the front and back of their ship to shift their direction if you need a moment to breathe never hurts either. Also, if you aren't solo slooping, you can have your buddy hop on the skele boat to manage the skeletons and relieve the pressure on your ship; enabling you to pummel them freely. Worst case, you always have cursed cannonballs to make short work of them 🙂

    Is there anywhere in this game where you can just do things like cargo voyages and not have to worry about getting attacked by other ships if you are a solo player?

    • @CopiousJack
      @CopiousJack  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Technically? There is always a chance it can happen. However, people tend to hate going to the roar. And you can check embassy tables to get an idea before you start how many players may already be on the server

    • @Elgallo1107
      @Elgallo1107 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep. The devils roar is usually pretty dead but maybe pvp players will start to catch on to this. The best thing to do is be vigilant. Every 5 minutes check your horizon. If a ship is heading to you. Get your sloop and go against the wind even if against the wind is in their direction get around them. Make sure your sails are angled directly at the wind in default position and not to the side. If they are chasing you go around rocks and weird spots if they are galleons and brigantines. Make sure your ship is heading in the right direction and jump off yours onto theirs and try your best to anchor them. If they keep up chase for too long head to another ship and get them involved in the fight and find your chance to escape. Maybe if you find a skeleton ship you can get the skeletons to agro on them. One of my favorite moves is to drive by an empty skull fort and get in the tower when they drive by hit them with chain shots and get their mast down then just hammer into them. Delay them as much as possible. Make sure you have a rowboat on your ship. If you need to salvage what you have go behind a rock or any type of cover detach the rowboat and row to an outpost and hope they don’t see you. Better yet put a decoy couple of items you don’t care about like supply crates chests and crappy loot and put it on the rowboat and row away make sure they see you and get them to chase you. That’ll buy you a lot of distance. If you are a solo player being able to be creative and get ships off your tail is vital.

    0 information was given in this video, just genral thought what and how to do things but 0 actual examples or tips, like: your HP is low next time watch your HP bar and try to prevent it. thats not an advice. this title of a video was a clickbait. Even the guy says how to position your ship to survive the battle and didnt mention anything just basic knowledge for pepole who first logged into a game...

      I'm sorry the video didn't answer your question. I've made a couple videos regarding death circles and positioning so Im not sure if I glossed over something you may have had a question about. Feel free to ask in the comments and I can try my best to help.

    Listen I just had a complaint about a very beautiful person who has put vires at the start of this game. I have to call them a very nice person because I called them something else that suited them moor in the comment I made about them earlier but TH-cam deleted my comment as they believe that you should always bend over and let anyone make precious love to your bottom and not complain or warn others of what is going on. There you go TH-cam is that better.

    "Ramming can have its benefits" ... yeah, no.

    • @CopiousJack
      @CopiousJack  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't generally recommend it, more for people who like to troll or who care less 🤣. But with a crew to look after the ship, it's not always the absolute worst idea; especially if you have a boarder who can lock down the enemy ship or if you've found yourself in a naval fight stalemate far longer than intended. But, at the end of the day, you apply what you have the most confidence in and feel your best at and avoid risking what you can't or won't afford to lose 👍
