It could be interesting to point out that purple curse balls can stack together while green curse balls cancel the previous one so no point throwing more than one at the time every few seconds. Also you can farm curse balls from skeleton ships by killing them and taking the curse balls out of their cannons.
The flameheart cursed cannonballs are actually different from normal cannonballs or firebombs! All three varieties, including the wraithball, have a bit less projectile drop than a normal cannonball, giving them longer effective range than normal cannons!
Having a jig ball on hand has saved my ship from boarders a couple of times now. Just as they get close for the ram board, hit 'em with a jig and the ship bounces off you harmlessly while they dance lol.
Good one as always! I would compare the wraith ball to a "galleon megalodon" bite, more than a keg. It's very similar in my opinion. (Splash dmg, lots of holes, knockback) The angle of the ship dmg and the knockback are feels like almost identical to a megalodon.
Most important tip for cursed cannonballs is don’t save them for a perfect situation if it will help your situation USE IT they do nothing if they sink with the ship or just sit in your pockets all day. It’s like ether in a Pokémon game you have a limited amount of them so you save em for when you really need them only to find you barely used any at all.

Holes let water below deck based on the position of the ship vs the waves. Using a ballast balls makes all holes take max water during its effect. For multiple reasons this can be beneficial vs sloops and brigs. Especially if an enemy crew member is off ship or at the ferry.

While the helm ball is very situational Another use is for keeping a ship in firing line. Ex: galleon and sloop duke it out. Sloop makes a mistake and puts itself parallel to a galleons broadside, boom helm ball so they are stuck next to you taking 4x the cannonfire they can dish out. Still very situational but it could be pivotal... Unlike the barrel ball
The one reason that the Jig-ball is better than the sleep-ball is that it’s easier to find dancing players, Imagine boarding an enemy galleon who have just been Jigged, you can find all of em pretty easy, not much time to get all of them but you can easily point blank blunder them, it’s that slight bit of having to look harder to find guys when slept especially if they wear tuck outfits as a normal outfit because they lack a fashion sense. It’s not too difficult if they are slept but dancing pirates are simply not eye catching It also makes a larger difference when firing cannons with the intent of killing, as both jig and sleep stop them from moving but again, you can see a man dancing on deck from a distance easier than a man who has just hit the deck as visually the are now hidden behind guard rails
Ideas for new cursed balls Blaze ball-sets the ship on fire as if 4 fire bombs were thrown in different spots. Serpent ball- spawns 2-4 snakes on the ship. Frenzy ball- makes a random crew member attack his teammates. And this is a crazy one,kraken ball.- the ship hit with this is marked and a single kraken tentacle grabs onto the ship but it’s much weaker than a natural kraken. Because if this weakness, maybe it can summon two tentacles to swing at the ship and do that vacuum attack thing. Chum ball- summons 2-4 sharks to follow your ship. If a man from the hit ship falls into the water, he has to worry bout the sharks. The last two are kinda c combo attack Rain ball- the ship hit with this gets a rain cloud over it for 3 minutes. This adds flooding in addition to the holes. Storm ball- the ship hit with this gets hit by a lightning bolt at a random moment within the next 90 seconds. If the ship is under the affect of a rain ball and then hit with this, the lightning bolt strikes immediately with a 50% chance of another striking within the next minute.
Another thing grog balls are good at is making it difficult to bucket. When you have the bucket equipped and you vomit, the bucket fills with vomit, so you then need to empty out the bucket to begin bucketing water, and if you are in a bucketing pattern, it will break the pattern and can mess up your bucketing
very good tips, I remeber in your live a guy suggested doing a video like this and you made it, lol. I reccomend watching his lives guys, If you want to see someone cracked at the game and learn something.
The only other use of a helm ball would also be very situatuonal, but if you needed to break another ship's(especially a galleon) death spiral on you, it could force them to make adjustments and buy you time to get out of there by hitting them with that. You would most likely have enough time to get mast up, bucket a few times, and get the hell out of there and to a better position. Not preaching the helm ball, just pointing out that there is another extremely situational use for it. (This was the only defensive use i could think of)

The Flame Phantom Cannonball is not just a reskin of a normal firebomb - it has a knockback effect on players on top of the firebomb effect. Also Barrelball can be used to stop skeleton ships from repairing.
2 Wraithballs against a galleon followd by ballastball. Is sinking a galleon within seconds. Managed to pull this one twice so far. It's just REALLY fun. Poisonball against a sloop followed by two blunders... basically kill the people on board.

Helm ball is actually pretty good if a skelly is hitting you harder than you can deal with, so when they start turning away, hit them, them you have a sec to breathe
2:40 I learned that the hard way. Got back into the game and thought to myself. Huh, should I or should I not repair the middeck. So, I repaired a few but not all. Then someone was on repair duty but said couldn't access their bucket and when the water hit the middeck there were like ten holes pouring in water and we sunk.
...I would actually say that I've used Ballastballs vs sloops in the past to great effect. If you have all the holes knocked into those back spots it's actually not horrible. Especially when you're sitting on like, 7 ballasts... l o l
I am always so paranoid to use cursed balls because my cannon aim is not reliable at long ranges. They are very satisfying to use though when they land.
I disagree that the venom ball is not that useful. When used with the sleep ball, they cannot feed themselves to stop the damage. It will send all of them to the ferry if they are not full health. At minimal, it makes them eat first thing upon awaking. The window of time it provides is huge. I should know, it happened to me: Venom ball and when I tried to eat, I was put to sleep and helpless to stop the ferry ride.
... worse than usual, tbh. There's like 2 tips in this video, the rest is just a low level summary of the cursed cannonballs that you can know just by looking at their name and little in game description.
I know I'm late. Not sure what you want from him. They're just items. They function the same as regular cannonballs. Other than what they do, there's really nothing else to explain.

Venom ball should only be used at night. It's nearly blinding to be poisoned at night.

I often try and get cursed cannonballs to try and leverage the fight in my favour but I'll be using them strategically from now on.
