""Suddenly... one of his mothers came to the door...." That one went right over my head for like 4 seconds, and that made it 10x funnier when it finally hit.
I saw him live several years ago near my hometown in Maine. We don’t get a lot of famous artists, let alone the GOAT of comedy, here so when my friend and I heard he was coming , we got tickets. He did that punch line joke at the show and we all laughed and he said” I don’t even need to finish the joke that is how awesome I am” pretended to leave and came back. To be honest, I had forgotten the punch line while listening to his story and when he finished with it, the place lost it. Love or hate him, you can’t deny the fact he is a master of his craft. His words are way more than just comedy.
@@fking_way_she_go5297 yeah but he had legit reasons, his old jokes had a lot of people laughing at him versus with him. Horrible feeling to realize that. Chappelle is truly one of the kings of "on the spot" comedy. As mentioned in the video description, he really can turn anything into a joke...even a rogue cell phone ringing in one particular show. Omg...love it. He and George Carlin are my all time favorites!!!
But the problem is, 1. People who attended his tours and stuff would fuck it up for everyone else. 2. A lot of people was getting mad at him for his shit. People couldn't comprehend the things he would say. So now he'll pretty much just randomly do stuff now. This way, people can't fuck it up and sensitive ninnies don't get butthurt.

@John Afella dude. That's so true, I'm white and that's funny. 😂
He didn't say that the punchline was for the joke, he said " a punch line for this SPECIAL".
If you watch all the way through the end, you'll se he didn't lie, and that makes it 1000% more impressive. He is a Genius!

He definately getting up there with the likes of the legends Pryor, Murphy etc
Because comedians have been neutered by leftist social justice Nazis and are too afraid to be funny.
@Oliver_B What rock have you been living under for all these years? Times have changed. Leftists censor anything that offends them, "marginalized groups," or "victims of oppression." Dave Chappelle's comedy is often criticized by the far left.

Ali Reza like Pryor in the 70’s. Untouchable.
Dude dave in the first years of 2000 to 2008 he was killing it left and right now that he is back it's kinda funny and kinda not idk miss the old dave
@@fking_way_she_go5297 yeah but he had legit reasons, his old jokes had a lot of people laughing at him versus with him. Horrible feeling to realize that. It makes sense he had to change up his routine, so if he focused for a long time on establishing his old routine then his new routine is bound to suck.
@@rulinghabs - before he died, Pryor nominated Chappelle as his successor. You can't get higher honors than that.
Tbh if you’re from UK he’s only funny not really funny
Chappelle is truly one of the kings of "on the spot" comedy. As mentioned in the video description, he really can turn anything into a joke...even a rogue cell phone ringing in one particular show. Omg...love it. He and George Carlin are my all time favorites!!!
He can leave for years and come back and be funny with perfect timing 👌
He's still been working venues or just randomly out in the wild. The only thing he stopped doing was releasing specials.
Dave Chappelle is one of those comedians that he may have a punchline as unassuming like the word "celery" and still manage to come up with something hilarious
"Pussy juice"
Honey butter chicken biscuit
He pulled off the punchline by making a joke out of the punchline. That's a comedian.
He’s the best comedian on the planet today
If you follow him, you know that’s his style. He always told stories with jokes this way.
He starts off with the beginning of the joke then tells a story with another story in that with a joke and ties that in with the original joke in the beginning then boom! Punchline
It's so much better in the special because he tells the punchline at the start of the show and tells this at the very end, by then most people have forgotten the set up, so u get surprised, in this video you are pretty much expecting it
@@rishabhsingh5694 it's not at the very end, it's maybe like 10 minutes later, but that's long enough to have forgotten about the whole thing already
but I definitely see what you mean, when I first saw that special, I was like, "yo, how tf does he even do that, he JUST told us the punchline, and we're still sitting here tryna figure out wtf just happened"

Dave taught me that the punchline doesn't make the story, the story makes the punchline. Thanks Dave 🤣😏

@Juan Cortez Muro no you shameless advertising fuck
Alexander Canella the joke is that they’re polygamists not gay...
In these 5 minutes Dave made more jokes than Kevin Hart makes in his whole freaking hour
IKR? KH is so overrated.
That's because Kevin Hart's setups are mostly repeating the same sentence for 4-5 times before he delivers the punchline. For example:
"So I'm going to my son's school, I'm at my son's school, right? At this school of my sons okay? Now my son blablablabla"
Go watch the Kevin Hart special where he has Halle Berry as a guest actress and tell me u didn't laugh out loud a number of times
