Thanks for watching! Here's the original video: • Mushroom Walnut Burger...
And here's the full blog post with the written recipe: howtomakedinner.com/blog/mush...
Annnd another blog post, written by my mom, with tons of other substitutions: howtomakedinner.com/blog/modi...
FLAX EGG INSTRUCTIONS: Mix 1 Tbsp ground flax with 2 Tbsp cold water. Stir to combine, and let it sit for 5 minutes.
I hope you enjoy these burgers as much as I do! I made about three batches while making this video so my freezer is full and I'm set for the summer.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
    About me:
I'm Paula. I'm a former professional cook and overall eating enthusiast.
I started this channel because I love making dinner and I love eating dinner.. but mostly it's because all I've ever wanted in life is to have my own cooking show. When I didn't get a callback after submitting my tape to Food Network in 2003, I put that dream to rest for a while. Until I clued in, I can do it myself on TH-cam!
I love sharing the tips I've learned from professional kitchens and tidbits from my holistic nutrition education. But mostly I just want to show you how to make dinner. (See what I did there?) 😄
My cooking style is simple but flavourful. I cook with a lot of veggies but I'm not vegetarian. For me, a typical dinner is plant-forward, budget-friendly, non-fussy, and really delicious. As a step-mom, I make a lot of family friendly comfort food, as well as a lot of simple, realistic dinners for one (or two).

As a fully plant-based eater, it always astounds me that self-proclaimed plant-based eaters don't just simply say to themselves "oh, I can tweak that this way" and move on with life.

It's off-putting for someone to proclaim a recipe to be vegetarian and seem to think that egg is a vegetable, or cheese. Turns me off the whole thing. I'm like, no thanks.

@@missinformed9550 generally vegetarian is used for ovo-lacto-vegetarian, so I expect eggs in a vegetarian recipe. If it doesn't contain either, it's vegan.

Hi , I made this burger today , it’s a good base burger recipe , the texture is good when the Pattie’s are made thin and crisped up in the pan . After I added all the ingredients for personal preference because I understand we all have different taste buds , I had to add more seasoning I added cumin , smoked paprika and Zataar would also be a good addition. I also used a flax egg no brine from the can specially if it’s full of sodium it adds more salt to the dish , I didn’t add the 1/2 tsp salt as I watch for too much sodium . I don’t like my burger on a bun specially any kind of a tad pasty burger so it’s a perfect addition to any salad , I made a quinoa with zesty vegan tofu feta with yellow peppers , cucumbers cilantro , red onions and leftover black bean from the can with a wonderful lime whole grain Dijon vinaigrette it really complimented the burger Patty so yummy no need for bread , I save my bread for Beyond burger I can’t beat this one ..thank you for a lovely recipe easy to adjust to your own taste . 😊😊😊😊
