I’d suggest if your going to tune take the time to send your injectors off and get them cleaned and flow tested at the base pressure you want to run. If you run50 psi base pressure and modded yellow side feed injectors be prepared to mess with your latency. mine were flow tested at 875cc at 50 psi base. And they gave me the latency values with it so I used those and actually lowered them a bit. But got me dang close.
Good shout .. always worth testing/cleaning injectors especially after an engine failure or for a new build. The testing here doesn't give latency figures unfortunately ..would be nice if they did for sure 😎
Hi Duncan, Love the channel I have a Legacy Gt 2006 is it normal to get knock events whilst logging with btssm at the same rpm tends to be always around 1800 rpm off boost just cruise and shows a knock event. Is this false knock?
@@mikejroe78 They are the very first version of the 32bit ecu and a bit sensitive. I couldn't rule out it being false knock though.. have you got det cans on it ?
Usually is false knock if its off boost, use det cans to confirm and if you can't hear anything then it's something like a Heat shield rattle, gearbox noises etc. If you're interested in tuning yourself then you can edit the map and get it to ignore noise below a certain rpm so it doesn't pull timing.
@@racedynamixno not used det cans, I'm hoping to maybe book in with you at some point to get the map checked I'm the first owner since import so more than likely still on Jdm map.
@@racedynamix sorry again can I buy one for a suburu Impreza 2008 or is it too old and if not will the standerd ecu adapt or do I need a different firmware
Poor mans anti lag. Put a always on relay on your iat wire to maf sensor. Then retard timing in iat compensation map at -40 degrees farenheight to well I have it at -42.5* timing retard. Set up the relay on a momentary switch and you have anti lag launch control. I can build 6-8 psi pretty easy depending on how aggressive I want to run.
@@racedynamix timing can vary but it does work well. I keep adjusting the timing and basically it will only rev to 4500 -5,000 rpm even without a limiter but it builds boost really well actually.
Cheap Chinese ones will die the second you connect to internet. Trust me. Found out the hard way. The 169 dollar Tactrix is well worth it to just buy the unit. And the guys at Tactrix has top notch customer service. And a forum that has almost all the answers
@@racedynamix thanks by the way your videos are very helpful. I’m a tuner myself but IV picked up some good information that’s helped me a ton. Especially since you have so many platforms covered, great stuff man. To bad I live in Oregon on the other side of the planet, people are Cobb junkies here, honestly to uneducated to understand that there is a better way, currently troubleshooting a Cobb car now. The funny thing is, when I in married the Cobb and flashed a Tactrix tune on the car it runs and performes perfectly, but plug the cobb in, No avcs at all. And if you could guess the stumble.. showed my results to the customer, And he left with the Tactrix tune and sold his cobb devise.
@@ohm_demon4058 it is possible using kess but it takes 30 mins to read write etc on them and editing the maps is not possible. Using flash maps is really dangerous

Hi Duncan
Finally got my tactrix cable, what software do I need for an alcatek ecu
The alcatek ecu has its own lead, software and encryption dongle unfortunately
@racedynamix I have the lead and dongle , just wondering on the next steps
Have you got a video on how to data log a link g4x ?
@@brentthompson9272 not yet. I will be doing these though 👍
