    The weight of carrying a false identity, constructed from insecurity and ego can be overwhelming. Everyone already sees you for who you are and has chosen to accept or reject you. Show up as who you are. You have nothing to prove. This is the path to true self confidence. Love yourself and accept that you are perfectly imperfect.

    That line "Everybody is already okay with who you are" was great and made so much sense. Like, duh, any "mask" or front I put up isn't fooling people. Same way I can tell when others are putting on a "mask". Awesome strategy to just focus on how to serve the person or people you're interacting with rather than focusing on our egos. Great video.

    Have hit a total crisis with ego and insecurity at the moment - I needed to hear this. (It's been a bad day) And I myself have often felt I needed to leave ego behind as I've been aware for some time now that humility/selflessness and true confidence go hand-in-hand. Thank you Chris for sharing so bravely and vulnerably THE big key that can potentially change everything in a person’s life. Understanding that the Ego is not us but a false construct arising from deep insecurity to protect us from rejection, self and others, due to our subconsciously perceived inadequacies or the learned notion that we are somehow not enough innately. It’s a very heavy, stressful, painful way to live.Thank you for bravely putting yourself out here vulnerably, man, just to help us understand this. That took heart and guts.

      @heidigfx 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the Dunning-Kruger effect? yes of course! Once applied to our field, it basically explains why beginners can overestimate the quality of their work, while experts can underestimate theirs.

    • @heidigfx
      @heidigfx 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      for example with typography: someone buys a pen and starts writing with absolutely no clue about the anatomy of letters. He's so happy with the result and can't see mistakes because he doesn't know the basics.
      On the other hand, an expert who knows a lot more than the basics may think the basics are so easy and everyone knows them. it's a matter of cognition or perception..not of ego.

    Accept that nobody’s perfect and so am I. Yeah people can judge me or look down on me or do/talk whatever about me. I’m the one who always scared people judges me so what people talks about me really matters to me. I’ve used the “Observe Thoughts” technique and I realize most of my thoughts in day just about caring about what people will think/talk about me. I knew I just don’t need to care those things but I don’t know how to do that. But since now, just by watching your video I just know what I need to learn rn is Self-acceptance. Thank you so much!

    I looked around the net for something that can help my self love. I gave girth recently and I'm struggling with weight gain, self image and self awareness... I don't know what's going on with me. I've always accepted myself and felt confident and in peace. Now I'm overwhelmed with work and motherhood and my sex life... It's been rough. This was really helpful I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks a bunch. Sending you lots of love.

    I wanna give my man Chris a hug. I was in the feels the whole video :'') thanks Chris for being able to be vulnerable all respects to you. I've learned so much from this video. Imay doubts myself and not want to be on camera but I realize that everyone already loves me for who i am so putting on a persona is just wrong.

    Thank you soo much Chris, the other day I looked at you and I looked at myself and realised that of many people out there you are just a normal person doing great things. I am African but I saw myself in you in sense that I am a simple guy who just speaks his mind, loves to speak power in other people's lives. I am not the ideal model but I'm just me and that just fine, my job is just to serve. Thanks again

    Its human phenomena, that "when you learn share it to serve". Thank you, Chris, for sharing a simple solution. I have the same issue of facing people but I want to serve them. And this video gave me the energy to move on. All the best for making more videos to serve people, animals or to the aliens :).

    I like the (new?) "Do" signature at the end. Feels like a little touch of hand-made authenticity to close it out. And there's a nice double-entendre of telling the viewer to go out and "Do". ;)

    Thanks for sharing your experiences with self-doubt and insecurity, Chris. Personally, I tend to lap up anytime a man, especially an accomplished man such as yourself, speaks with honesty and sincerity about his self-doubts and insecurities. As someone who tries to approach jobs with humility and a willingness to serve, your comments validate my intent to continue doing so.

    Happy the be #500 to like this teaching by Chris. Between all the selling and false people on the internets, it's refreshing to know that Chris in his heart is just "one" of many, but will open his heart and mind to his audience and not speak words he doesn't believe in. Hopefully, this will be a "good" reference, but he's the new "Mr. Rogers" in the neighborhood of the web. Because he cares about his neighbors and his community. - I really appreciate an honest man in this day. May you continue to be blessed, Mr. Do! Love you, man!

    I meditated this morning on self acceptance and confidence. And I came across this video today. Very interestingly that it came to me at this time in my life. I do got to say this mirror mask is real and holding onto this idea of ourselves does drain our energy, which can be exhausting and a waste of living instead of living an authentic flowing life. Thank you 🙏 for the Videos! God Bless you all on your journeys!

    Great video The Futur team. I deal with what I call an imposter syndrome at times when I sit down with new clients. If it's an existing client, I feel comfortable and composed. But if it's a new client, I tend to think too much and try too hard. Thank you for putting more clarity on the purpose I'm meeting with in the first place.
