- I took the Day of Sigma Mega Man X OVA and added in the X and Vile intro and ending cutscenes into the movie in different spots as if they were part of the same cut. The illusion is to fill out the beginning and ending of the OVA and make it feel a little more complete.
The idea is to use Vile's ending and a small segment of X's ending as a prologue to X's opening where it fills the gap of how X and Zero would already know vile by this point, and the dialog is so ambiguously written that Sigma's turn is ambiguous, as his lines to Vile also work as his current Maverick Hunter role.
I threw Vile's Intro and the rest of X's Ending at the end, as it works as a lead in to mega man x1 still. (Vile walking down the road works as a post-sigma mwahaha stinger, and X looking at Zero's cycle could be hesitation about going to fight the mavericks alone right after the last battle.)
I think the edits work pretty well and give the ova a more complete package, and I just like having all of the anime scenes in one file. I don't like the PSP remake of the game, but I thought the anime stuff was real neat! - เกม

The English VAs who participated in this game are the best voices for each of the main characters: Mark Gatha (X), Lucas Gilbertson (Zero), Roger Rhodes (Vile) and Gerald Matthews (Sigma).

Fun fact: Dr. Wily in Powered Up and Chill Penguin had the same voice actor.
In a way, it makes it feel more full as it fills the missing pieces of the OVAS, and finally makes sense of Vile's ending.
GaiaX5 yeah like...some of the stuff they did in the vile playthrough didnt really make a whole lot of sense in canon, but when i decided to do this edit i realised how well those scenes fit with the ova. Put together like this, It implies there was a "vile incident" where he went maverick and x and zero went to take him out, with sigma posing as the cleanup crew. It sort of gives him a little more of an arc through the ova, instead of JUST the two scenes he had before. I also tried to put the scenes in a specific order that would give it good pacing up to the title drop, and I think it feels pretty solid. (And thanks for the comment, dude!) :D

Titanuim X Studios that doesnt seem like its a very big concern when these characters normally die. (When i saw viles ending originally it didnt even seem like he died it seemed like he just shut down. Sigma literally says “retrieve vile” to someone as an explanation for him being in the third game.)

It’s still criminal that this wasn’t turned into a series.
I find it interesting that Zero failed to shoot the giant robot's generator and instead shot his fellow Reploid in the training simulation. Considering he's such a skilled hunter I can't imagine he wouldn't have trained his aiming, or for that matter that X would be much better.
It kind of gives the impression that Sigma actually knew that it was still a very difficult shot for X, but guilted him as a grooming technique. If he was more reckless, perhaps he'd be more easily manipulable into the person Sigma spent the whole game trying to turn him into.
Most underrated anime plot in history
It's surprising how the english version sounds better than the original. X and Zero's voice actors especially. They sound great on that emotional scene against Sigma at the end.
Fans of the X series, take this as your inspiration and make what Capcom refuses too.

I think the Maverick Hunter X series was supposed to be a separate canon. Basically, a whole new, remastered continuity to fix plot holes that developed across the original series timeline. Unfortunately, they made the game exclusively for the PSP, which led to poor sales, grinding the production of MHX2-6 to a halt. Capcom intended to remaster the first six games before releasing 7 and 8, but the poor decision to not release it on main consoles led to the idea getting scrapped, allowing the plot holes to continue and resulting in the midrange responses to those two games.

X isn't a fighter at heart. At this point he didn't want to fight, especially not someone he respected. Maybe he thought he could reason with Sigma.
Gonna be honest, X had plenty of chances to stop Sigma but he didn't do anything.
If he wasn't held back by plot reasons, anyone in their right mind would have shot baldy in the head right away.
Heck, he was giving X too many reasons to shoot him!
Maverick hunter X, while MUCH easier than the original super Nintendo game from 1993, gave more backstory to this classic and much more beautiful anime cut scenes than x4 with amazing voice acting. I see this as the last X game in the series and where it ends with a bang (ignoring X dive atm, i don't count mobile games). Maybe we should count our blessings because who knows what other things they'd change in x2 up to x6? Probably make it even MORE Zero centered than it already was? I understand some X fans hate Zero's shadow looming over him but this game did remind us how special our blue boy really is.
-X2 was about X fighting off the "x hunters" and getting zero's pieces back and fighting the mavericks and sigma all by himself without Zero babysitting him, they'd probably switch dr cain out with maverick hunter base.
-X3 was more filler, "lol i cured the maverick virus. jk lol btw here's sigma again." Zero would probably less uselss where he'd be able to pick up items and health/armor upgrades for x even use weapons and fight sub bosses.
-X4; X deals with betrayal just as much as Zero deals with his curse of bringing death i.e. 'unable to save anyone". They could have easily had X question zero if he would ever turn maverick on him and threatened to end him if he wasn't so sure. Instead, X questions if he'd betray his friends and immediately entrusts Zero to kill him if he were to go maverick. Showing his caring heart that he doesn't care about himself, but those around him.
X5 was about defying destiny, the two hunters are brothers when they were designed to be enemies. at least have the paths not be luck based!
x6 well, I could see a few things they could do with it. depending on who you played as, When X centered it could developing relations with Alia, Douglas and Signas, hell idc have a love triangle between X, Gate and Alia. Give us a reason to care. and if you chose zero it would explain how he got repaired and how he planned on going into long hibernation.
I want x9 tho.....

Because ian flynn is a crappy writer with bad characterization and “internet humor” peppered in. He isn’t a real writer and probably doesn’t understand the sonic characters he wrote for half as well as Ben Hurst did.

I still wish they finally tied in the Mega Man series with the X series. From what I have heard Zero wasn't supposed to have killed the original cast. But honestly, how can that be possible for him not to kill the cast, yet Bass, Roll, Duo, Proto Man, Rush and Mega Man are nowhere to be seen, despite robots living for eons?
What I figure is that Wily released Zero, who Zero kills, probably because of his instability, even if he wasn't intentionally trying to kill Wily. Zero fights and destroys Bass, Proto Man, even Duo and Rush. Mega Man tries to stop Zero, but Zero is too powerful, so Mega Man self destructs to try to stop him, which is just enough to put Zero in a stasis mode, where he is awaken later on by Reploid scientists, and then causes havoc, forcing various units and Sigma himself to confront him
Basically Mega Man has to be dead. They have already established that X and Mega Man are two different robots, especially in the OVA, where he is building X from scratch. Even X didn't even know who Light was until Light told him who he was and why he was being created. If Wily or Zero were still a threat, obviously Dr. Light wouldn't have made a robot with AI. Because the whole reason why he had X put to sleep was to do diagnostics and he feared he may have been too dangerous to be released just yet. If Wily or Zero were still around, Light would have made another Mega Man to combat him. But the threat was eliminated. Light seemed to be all alone, too. Don't see Roll, Auto, or other bots. Light saw the threat was eliminated but wanted to finish his magnum opus before he died, seeing how it wasn't long before he died of old age.
The original cast doesn't necessarily have to live for eons. X and Zero are special because they are the first, and only (until Zero series) robots of their kind. They are much more advanced mechanically than the robot masters.
We do know that Protoman had a short life because he had an unstable energy generator. We also know that robot masters have an expiry date and they require special maintenance to continue functioning.
It's perfectly plausible that Rockman, Roll and all the other robot masters simply stopped working and were replaced by more advanced units as time went on, especially by the Zero or ZX eras.
Rockman's buster was ancient by the standards of X, his armor was much less resilient, he had worse movement capabilities and he was unable to make the complex decisions reploids can; so he would've been at a huge disadvantage in the X times anyway.
@@Pocket-Calculator makes sense since all robot during classic era all was created with freewill but it's not true freewill when they fulfill that purpose they created for they stopped working. Unlike X who have true freewill.

It’s a biblical reference, Cain and Abel brothers where one killed the other starting the cycle of violence in humans, in this case Cain made reploids eventually leading to Sigma sending a missile strike to destroy Abel City which started a long cycle of destruction and war seen in the games and series afterwards

I don't get the whole idea of x's inner power like I thought that when they referred to his potential they were always referring to the way he can acquire armour and get stronger but instead here he evolves and gets random power at certain times which we never see again
It's seen in X2 when he magically heals himself and regains all his energy when fighting Vile. Then seen again in the Zero series when his body was the only thing capable of sealing the Mother Elf, and how his cyber elf form was particularly powerful.
X's potential comes not only from his design (which is so advanced only Ciel could do a 1:1 replica centuries later) but from his advanced and complex capability of thought and feelings.

Idk why the original day of sigma didnt include vile's cutscenes and X's ending. Such a waste. Now the fans have to do it themselves.
That’s because the endings were only shown after you completed their campaigns especially Vile's story which was non canon since in his version of the story he fights all the mavericks instead of X leading to different dialogues and a different ending from megaman X's ending since you have to beat the game first as X before Vile's campaign is available.
I'd love for there to be a Biometal SX(Sigma) in Megaman ZX3, but that'll never happen. Let alone a biometal VX(Vile).At this point it's wishful thinking. Heck an extra bonus of Biometal proto-Kai(Protoman) would've been cool.
That and maybe have Ciel make an appearance and go further into the history with her and the biometals. But knowing capcom...
While I’d like to see a Model R/M (Rock/Mega), a Model PR/B (Protoman/Blues), and possibly a Model B (Bass), I think Ciel deliberately based the Biometals off of the heroes of Neo Arcadia, since she neither knew nor had the data for any Megamen prior to X, who as it was was in the form of a Cyber-Elf because of the events that happened during the Elf Wars. Since a biometal contains the data of the Reploid it’s modeled after, I’d say it’s impossible for there to be any models prior to the Elf Wars, like Vile, Sigma, or anyone from the classic series; perhaps even prior to the siege on Neo Arcadia.

It was an exclusive anime in originally Maverick Hunter X for the PSP, but it was then added to the X Legacy Collection. The person who posted this spliced in cutscenes from the game also though to create a more cohesive story. Unfortunately, this anime is all we have, unless you want to count the cutscenes from X4.
