Capcom has pretty much forgotten and abandoned this series, including Powered Up. The main drive behind the series was Inafune, and with his leave, the prospect of seeing both continued pretty much fell to the gutter.

Well, you need to take into account that the Maverick Hunter series were meant to be a retelling of the original story, as Inafune intended to redo the whole series. He essentially aimed to reestablish the canon properly, although the series would still go up to X8.
Most Mavericks were once good...surely you're knowledgeable of that if you've played the games. Either way, this is a prologue that details Sigma's rise as a Maverick, and the fall of the world Reploids live in due to Sigma's revolt. After this event, the Maverick Hunters solidified in order to counteract against Sigma and his plans for supremacy.
So, Mega Man X is a pacifist? Which is why he wouldn't shoot Sigma? Wouldn't allowing the death of an entire city go against his pacifist ideals as well?
First off, there hasn't been a "substantial" bridge between the Classic series and X. Everything is often implied, alluded to indirectly, or simply left ambiguously aloof, which thus far has resulted in fanboys chewing and regurgitating wild theories. And no, Rock isn't X, they are entirely different, yadda-yadda-yadda. You're on the Internet, so wiki it.

wow an HQ upload! The only problem I have with this *spoiler for those who havent watched yet* is the fact that the explosions seem to put Dr.Cain in his own coffin, could anyone have survived that? why does this matter? well...he is a key player in X2 and X3 LOLOL. If hes dead then whos X talking too in 2 and 3? lolol

why does megaman act like this is the first time he's ever seen doctor light? is X different from the original Rock? this very cartoon always seemed to contradict the bridge between classic megaman and X megaman... although I still love seeing Megaman Anime
I was going to ask why you ulpoaded this twice, but i see now its in HQ so nevermind. I really wish capcom would start thinking about another Megaman X game, and this time make it NOT 3DS exclusive and NOT cancel it.

This one is the English dubbed version, while the other is in Japanese. The description box, my friend; you know I make use of it.
