Well, to be fair, humanity didn't go entirely extinct until the year XXXX in mega man Legends. For the ZX series, they were able to get bionic upgrades and interface with technology, allowing them to engage in combat with most reploids. But yeah, I agree. These reploids are basically walking nuclear arsenals.
In the Megaman X manga is stated that X Buster has power enough to destroy Japan in one shot...so yes, they are insane in power levels, I think in the end of X series Zero and X are Large planet level or Star level@@DemNikoArt
I actually love your depiction of the normal reploids with their uncanny valley faces. It kinda serves as a reminder that these are not humans despite their human-like characteristics.
Reploids are categorizes by product; the one where they all look alike are mass produced Reploid Hunters, the lowest rank with pre-programmed combat data. Then there are Experimental Reploids, and those are build from the labs which test the limit how Reploid is to a human. Then they are Specialize Reploids, and those are the Reploids with massive body changes like Kuwanger, Eagle, and Chameleon, among others. I'm more interested in seeing how X, Zero and Sigma would look like as all three has been depicted as 'near human characteristics'. Since X and Zero are Robots from the year 20xx and Sigma is crowned as the highly advance Reploid of his era, their facial expression would be closest thing to a human.
The appearance of the reploids leaves me with some questions, what will X and Zero look like? If I remember correctly, they were created long before the rest of the reploids, and what was the appearance of Mega Man in his time? I mean, if the reploids looked expressionless and even uncanny, I am curious about the appearance of the classic Mega, Bass, X and Zero.
Sick seeing the Speed Gear become relevant in the X games, especially causing time travel shenanigans. Also I love the fact that Kuwanger does the Deadlift grab that made me particularly happy.
The series of animations you've made like these already were an incredible love letter to the game, but the fact you went your way to add that attack was not only more proof of that, but also showing how brutal that attack (and Kuwanger) actually looks like in a more fleshed out environment. Really makes me wonder how much of a monster X will actually be shown to be in power in the future where he gets a chance to show up when considering how he single-handed defeated all of these once. @@DemNikoArt
I like how effortlessly Kuwanger tosses the reploid, yet at the same time how hard the reploid smashes into the ceiling. Really emphasizes how strong Kuwanger is.
Right? This is a huge super power. But I think he can only use it temporarily otherwise nobody could challenge him. I actually added a bar that slowly goes down on his back and arm 😉 So he needs to recharge now and then.
@@rcarfang2the thing with X is his learning potential, the fact that he has free will and his ability to copy enemies abilities. He has unlimited upgrade capabilities, the fact that he starts off weak but then something deep inside him awakens and unlocks his full potential is scary. Zero is similar but has an innate tendency towards violence that was curved thru damage. But from what I know is that X could never be truly replicated.
Kuwanger got some sick upgrades from the Gear! That is so interesting development. Note that most Reploids around look the same, those are mass produced, off the shelf Hunters. They send newbie to guard a dangerous Maverick. The fact that Kuwanger travels back to time using the Speed Gear isn't far-fetched as in the game the Speed Gear can slows down time (or speed it up, depends on who's perceptive.) The tech itself is ancient (20XX) but it is glitching, which means that it is probably damage and is unable to properly function as its intended function. Good job, and keep building up more Megaman X Lore!
@@KnightedSilverWolf In general yes, he's just fast. But with the speed gear boosting his abilities, he gained the power of jumping a minute back in time. Just once. I know there is no precedent for this. It's just my fan-fic 😁
They haven't made a Megaman Man X game in a long time. Imagine the potential in 2024! It doesn't need to be a side scroller (Just for this one), it could be as epic as DMC game.
@@Ratio429 I wonder if combining this guys style and look to a Megaman X gameplay style similar to say Metroid Prime in control scheme (If done from a first person perspective) I would worry if they attempted a 3rd person X game again, though Legends series I feel did do a good job, but at the same time, the X series is known for more speed, so might be a tad more challenging to translate into a 3D 3rd person space. I just feel like it could be cool for like X1 game done entirely in this style could be super awesome, even if say a movie of sorts. Granted, the timing to make would be astronomical I am sure.
@@megamanrulesall Yeah I agree. Fast paced battles can be fitting in a 3D setting but I'm not sure how it will look like for a first person perspective. Then again, I remember games like Ultrakill and Mullet Mad Jack. Those were very fast paced but they are separate games. Honestly, I'm surprised they haven't done a FPP game for Megaman. It does go excellent with this guy's style. They are perfect for each other.
He really gives off the vibes of being made for war , which is very fetting given he was once a Maverick Hunter, and we least know Sigma was made purely to hunt Mavericks , plus Vile is hinted as much. Very nicely done and all around good job.
You've done the little zippy bug proud. I love that you were able to get both Boomer's after image skill, aka super speed, along with his time dilation, aka teleportation. And him doing a time loop with himself to repair himself while also destroying the Hunters that have occupied his base? Great touch. Even threw Boomer's Ceiling Slam in there. Also, I love how you made the Hunter Reploids. Boomer carves through them with minimal difficulty, but they aren't useless. It really does emphasize the hierarchy of robots that existed at the time in the lore. The "market grade" Reploids, made for specific or general work. The "Hunter/Military grade" Reploids, made for keeping the peace in a world where most things can't stand to them. (In a world with even a basic Hunter model, good luck to the random mook trying to rob a convenience store.) But then there are the "Master grade" Reploids. Made with more autonomy, intellect, and tech to be special operations leaders. Then there's X and Zero. The models all other Reploids are derived from. This video really nailed the gulf in ability between those grades. As soon as there was a problem, every Hunter was notified, reacted calmly, and even tried to devise multiple angles to come at the threat. Problem was, it was handful of mice trying to fight a cat. Might get a bite in, maybe even draw a little blood, but the cat isn't going to lose. This was great! Can't wait to see who's next! Edit: OH! And the callback to the Mega Man 11 Speed Gear was a great inclusion too.
Thank you very much!!! Ooof a lot to unpack 😁 Yeah I knew I needed to implement some of his moves. The horn slam was a must!!! 😆 And thank you for complimenting my reploid ideas and how they behaved. I wanted to make them not just cannon fodder but actually have some strategies. So I created four variants with different tasks and skills. And they try but as you said, no chance at all 😁 And this takes place after X1 so they fought him after being defeated and captured him to harness his powers and eventually fuse them with the speed gear. I needed some kind of item that would allow him to jump a minute backwards and late in the development I had the epiphany with the speed gear and how it was discovered after being lost for 100 years. It was the obvious choice 😊 Thanks again for your comment. I love it when fans geek out about more than just the surface stuff 💙
I came here to say the same thing. All the mavericks are terrifying in this light. To think X defeated them all (twice) is astounding. Can’t wait to see Vile or Sigma.
Growing up, Boomer here was one of those Irregulars that I could never beat without the Homing Missile. He was too fast and unpredictable to me. For a brief span of time, I felt like I was seeing the *real* Boomer Kuwanger in action. The genuine dread he used to give me. What a masterpiece. Absolute chills!
Are you kidding? He was one of the easiest even with just the X-Buster. I start with him coz i get a lot upgrades early. The only trade off was his stage was one of the most difficult of the 8 bosses.
@@DontKnowDontCare6.9 Kuwanger can be hard if you approach the fight as you do with the rest of the Mavericks. Charging the Megabuster is actually a bad idea since you have only so many frames to hit him. Also, if you don't know his pattern is also hard to know when to jump down and hit him, especially since he can just stop where you land. Obviously his stage is harder if you don't have the boots. You should start on penguin. Finally, if you say it is an easy boss you should at least tell the strategy to beat him. To me, the easiest way to defeat him is to just stand in the center of the stage and shoot lemons. You only have to mash and worry to turn to the side you see him quickly. You'll sometimes will be sent to the roof, but that shouldn't happen if you are fast enough.
I have no idea how I got here, but I am never going away. As a big Mega Man X fan, this blow my mind. This shows that there is something that movie and/or game studios can not buy: Love and passion for a proyect, and this have tons of both. Greatings from México
This is just mind-blowing. Your skills are improving exponentially on each new video! Absolutely incredible work! So Boomer Kuwanger, an already super fast Reploid gets enhanced by the Speed Gear and becomes so fast that he basically bends time? Amazing. Simply amazing.
Absolutely amazing, this really does bring into perspective how insanely adaptive and strong Reploids, and by extension Mavericks. are. Base Megaman was able to hold up an entire tower for a couple minutes, it's crazy to think what X could achieve. Oh wait, I guess surviving a space colony crash would suffice as a great durability feat. Not to mention that most robots and Reploids were built with industrial-grade components so they are more akin to Armored Cores than they are normal robots.
Damn! This is fantastic! I have always been kind of a fundamentalist in regards to everything Megaman should be 2D, BUT, if they ever make a 3D Megaman X game again, this is the way to go. Capcom, hire this guy!

I just LOVE how you manage to bring realism to a cartoonish game without sacrificing the cartoonish look that's become so iconic. Hope you eventually get to all of them. I've been picturing since the Spark Mandrill one, Flame Mammoth reigniting the fires in his frozen factory.
OH that'd be so epic to see. A hard one though is gonna be Armored Armadillo, gonna be interesting to see what happens there. What's gonna be even more interesting, down the road of time I mean, what happens when the maverick's all meet back up, do they go after X again, or something else~?
That's the most difficult part. Finding a good balance between original design and realism. Glad it worked for you 🙂 I will definitely do all of them 😉 Flame Mammoth will be next and what's gonna happen is mostly fixed but I'm still Finetuning the story
I have a pretty good story for Armadillo. I'm sure people will like it. With some emotional beats and some action. What happens after that is still in development but I have a base concept but I can't reveal anything yet 😉
@@DemNikoArt and idea for the Armadillo. Using a literal Plasma Shield. Where segments open up and it forms the energy shield in addition to his already armored body. The military is actually trying to make "hot Plasma Shields" literally. They already use cold plasma for some things. Also to keep with cannon of the character. The "Blue/transparent" would indicate that it's on the hotest side of the EMF burning scale.
The last time I fought this dude it was in a challenge mode from Megaman X Dive Offline... And he kicked my ass the same way he is beating every body in this movie. I'm a bit pity about those poor guys, I know how it feels. You did a really great job DemNikoArt!

That fight was probably pretty tough for sure!!! But I imagine kuwangers abilities are limited and have a cool down. So he's not super OP... I guess. At least not in my fan-fic

You have a gift for bringing out the emotion or, lack there of in Kuwanger's case, of your characters. The shock and dismay on the reploids faces as Kuwanger tears them apart feels genuine with out coming off as out of place or stilted. Kuwanger's cold dead glare gives me chills I love it.
I am blown away! I just now found these gems. To find out that episode 1 came out 3 years ago, and this episode came out 2 weeks ago...this is such an amazing project! I just discovered this series and I wanna say you absolutely crushed it with the designs. I really love that you didn't sacrifice the anime aesthetics of the Mavericks' designs for the sake of hyper-realism. After all, the beauty of animation is we can have the best of both worlds.
This is insane! The thriller genre vibes, almost a little bit horror, the pacing and music tie it together perfectly, the visuals are out of this world, I can't even do justice in describing how perfectly you nailed this! I love the time loop paradox (it can't happen unless it happens!) it fits perfectly with Kuwanger! Can't wait to see what you do next!

Love your take on the regular reploids. While I do like how reploids could appear like regular humans, your version feels more in line with them being mechanical lifeforms replicating the human form while still expressive enough to understand the shock and horror they must have felt at Kuwanger's escape.
I can watch this over and over. 2:48 is my favorite part for sure. The way he phases out and over but leaves that evil shadow behind is straight madness! That literally gave me chills when i saw that the first time. I have watched this so many times and do not see me breaking that habit any time soon. This is INCREDIBLE WORK and i am a new subscriber for sure now.

Megaman X and Super Metroid were the first two games I ever bought ~30 years ago from my summer job. I never thought that I'd see the original Mavericks this way and IT'S TERRIFINGLY BEAUTIFUL! Keep up the impressive work, and I'm honestly scared of what you're planning on doing with X1 Sigma when/if the time comes!

This is an absolutely *incredible* animation. While I was watching I was just imagining how much work would have gone into this and also why Capcom hasn’t made some kind of animated series about the Mega Man X or Zero series. The potential is so much higher than for other videogame franchises and why they haven’t capitalised on it properly with a series of animated shows is beyond me. Maybe each episode of the hypothetical shows could focus on one Maverick at a time. It would be _really_ popular if done in a similar manner to this. I replayed X1 a few days ago and it reminded me how much I love the effects used for Boomer Kuwanger's teleportation in the game. You translated his teleport effect very well from the original source material, and I'm also impressed with the idea of him using the double gear system from Mega Man 11. It adds a new flavour to the character, and yet I can totally imagine him using a device like that if he was to find it. I noticed that you’ve said that the next Maverick is Flame Mammoth / Burnin' Noumander. I can imagine him reigniting his factory stage after his defeat. Maybe there could be a comical moment where he picks up and reattaches his trunk? 😆 What are your plans for after you’ve completed the whole Maverick roster from X1? Are you thinking of taking a break after X1 is completed? Are you planning on making more of these animations for X2? I can just imagine Wire Sponge stitching himself back together with metal-reinforced vines after being cut in half by X's Overdrive Ostrich weapon in X2. Maybe the vines would be grown by the top half of Wire Sponge's bisected body after he’d use the last of his energy to reconnect to the weather control system and make it rain to provide water to the vines around him? That’s just my idea of what that could be like. Since Capcom isn’t interested in making more Mega Man X content for the moment, I always look forward to these animations. Well done with this one, outstanding work. 😁👍
Oooof thank you very much for your message!!! I don't know where to begin 😁 I definitely agree that capcom is sitting on a gold mine. And I would love a film or series to tackle all the untapped potential of the franchise. I guess it's a big risk so they first need to test the waters. But with secret levels coming soon we'll see how that one episode turns out and how the reception will be. With enough positive feedback this might be the reassurance for them to put some money into more mega man stuff. And my plans are to first finish all 8 Mavericks, then there will be probably 5 final episodes where all stories come together. And we will obviously see X and what he's been up to 😉 But all of this will take maybe another 7-8 years if I keep my pace so after that there won't be any more mega man stuff I guess. I will be 50 then 😁 I think that will be a good point to retire from this franchise knowing that I contributed a bit to the whole fandom.

The appearance of the reploids leaves me with some questions, what will X and Zero look like? If I remember correctly, they were created long before the rest of the reploids, and what was the appearance of Mega Man in his time? I mean, if the reploids looked expressionless and even uncanny, I am curious about the appearance of the classic Mega, Bass, X and Zero.

Sick seeing the Speed Gear become relevant in the X games, especially causing time travel shenanigans. Also I love the fact that Kuwanger does the Deadlift grab that made me particularly happy.

The series of animations you've made like these already were an incredible love letter to the game, but the fact you went your way to add that attack was not only more proof of that, but also showing how brutal that attack (and Kuwanger) actually looks like in a more fleshed out environment.

He has unlimited upgrade capabilities, the fact that he starts off weak but then something deep inside him awakens and unlocks his full potential is scary. Zero is similar but has an innate tendency towards violence that was curved thru damage. But from what I know is that X could never be truly replicated.

Kuwanger got some sick upgrades from the Gear! That is so interesting development.
Note that most Reploids around look the same, those are mass produced, off the shelf Hunters. They send newbie to guard a dangerous Maverick.
The fact that Kuwanger travels back to time using the Speed Gear isn't far-fetched as in the game the Speed Gear can slows down time (or speed it up, depends on who's perceptive.) The tech itself is ancient (20XX) but it is glitching, which means that it is probably damage and is unable to properly function as its intended function.

@@Ratio429 I wonder if combining this guys style and look to a Megaman X gameplay style similar to say Metroid Prime in control scheme (If done from a first person perspective) I would worry if they attempted a 3rd person X game again, though Legends series I feel did do a good job, but at the same time, the X series is known for more speed, so might be a tad more challenging to translate into a 3D 3rd person space.
I just feel like it could be cool for like X1 game done entirely in this style could be super awesome, even if say a movie of sorts. Granted, the timing to make would be astronomical I am sure.
@@megamanrulesall Yeah I agree. Fast paced battles can be fitting in a 3D setting but I'm not sure how it will look like for a first person perspective. Then again, I remember games like Ultrakill and Mullet Mad Jack. Those were very fast paced but they are separate games.
Honestly, I'm surprised they haven't done a FPP game for Megaman. It does go excellent with this guy's style. They are perfect for each other.
He really gives off the vibes of being made for war , which is very fetting given he was once a Maverick Hunter, and we least know Sigma was made purely to hunt Mavericks , plus Vile is hinted as much. Very nicely done and all around good job.
Didn't expect to see action! Kuwanger moping the floor with those guys was wonderful to watch.

You've done the little zippy bug proud. I love that you were able to get both Boomer's after image skill, aka super speed, along with his time dilation, aka teleportation. And him doing a time loop with himself to repair himself while also destroying the Hunters that have occupied his base? Great touch. Even threw Boomer's Ceiling Slam in there.
Also, I love how you made the Hunter Reploids. Boomer carves through them with minimal difficulty, but they aren't useless. It really does emphasize the hierarchy of robots that existed at the time in the lore. The "market grade" Reploids, made for specific or general work. The "Hunter/Military grade" Reploids, made for keeping the peace in a world where most things can't stand to them. (In a world with even a basic Hunter model, good luck to the random mook trying to rob a convenience store.) But then there are the "Master grade" Reploids. Made with more autonomy, intellect, and tech to be special operations leaders. Then there's X and Zero. The models all other Reploids are derived from.
This video really nailed the gulf in ability between those grades. As soon as there was a problem, every Hunter was notified, reacted calmly, and even tried to devise multiple angles to come at the threat. Problem was, it was handful of mice trying to fight a cat. Might get a bite in, maybe even draw a little blood, but the cat isn't going to lose.
This was great! Can't wait to see who's next!
Edit: OH! And the callback to the Mega Man 11 Speed Gear was a great inclusion too.

I wanted to make them not just cannon fodder but actually have some strategies. So I created four variants with different tasks and skills. And they try but as you said, no chance at all 😁
And this takes place after X1 so they fought him after being defeated and captured him to harness his powers and eventually fuse them with the speed gear.
I needed some kind of item that would allow him to jump a minute backwards and late in the development I had the epiphany with the speed gear and how it was discovered after being lost for 100 years. It was the obvious choice 😊

I came here to say the same thing. All the mavericks are terrifying in this light. To think X defeated them all (twice) is astounding. Can’t wait to see Vile or Sigma.
Growing up, Boomer here was one of those Irregulars that I could never beat without the Homing Missile. He was too fast and unpredictable to me.
For a brief span of time, I felt like I was seeing the *real* Boomer Kuwanger in action. The genuine dread he used to give me. What a masterpiece. Absolute chills!
Are you kidding? He was one of the easiest even with just the X-Buster. I start with him coz i get a lot upgrades early.
The only trade off was his stage was one of the most difficult of the 8 bosses.
@@DontKnowDontCare6.9 Kuwanger can be hard if you approach the fight as you do with the rest of the Mavericks. Charging the Megabuster is actually a bad idea since you have only so many frames to hit him. Also, if you don't know his pattern is also hard to know when to jump down and hit him, especially since he can just stop where you land.
Obviously his stage is harder if you don't have the boots. You should start on penguin.
Finally, if you say it is an easy boss you should at least tell the strategy to beat him. To me, the easiest way to defeat him is to just stand in the center of the stage and shoot lemons. You only have to mash and worry to turn to the side you see him quickly. You'll sometimes will be sent to the roof, but that shouldn't happen if you are fast enough.
Someone needs to get Capcom to get this man a damn series order, already!

Absolutely amazing, this really does bring into perspective how insanely adaptive and strong Reploids, and by extension Mavericks. are. Base Megaman was able to hold up an entire tower for a couple minutes, it's crazy to think what X could achieve. Oh wait, I guess surviving a space colony crash would suffice as a great durability feat. Not to mention that most robots and Reploids were built with industrial-grade components so they are more akin to Armored Cores than they are normal robots.
Damn! This is fantastic! I have always been kind of a fundamentalist in regards to everything Megaman should be 2D, BUT, if they ever make a 3D Megaman X game again, this is the way to go. Capcom, hire this guy!

@@DemNikoArt and idea for the Armadillo. Using a literal Plasma Shield. Where segments open up and it forms the energy shield in addition to his already armored body. The military is actually trying to make "hot Plasma Shields" literally. They already use cold plasma for some things. Also to keep with cannon of the character. The "Blue/transparent" would indicate that it's on the hotest side of the EMF burning scale.

Love your take on the regular reploids. While I do like how reploids could appear like regular humans, your version feels more in line with them being mechanical lifeforms replicating the human form while still expressive enough to understand the shock and horror they must have felt at Kuwanger's escape.

I can watch this over and over. 2:48 is my favorite part for sure. The way he phases out and over but leaves that evil shadow behind is straight madness! That literally gave me chills when i saw that the first time. I have watched this so many times and do not see me breaking that habit any time soon. Megaman X and Super Metroid were the first two games I ever bought ~30 years ago from my summer job. I never thought that I'd see the original Mavericks this way and IT'S TERRIFINGLY BEAUTIFUL! Keep up the impressive work, and I'm honestly scared of what you're planning on doing with X1 Sigma when/if the time comes!

This is an absolutely *incredible* animation. While I was watching I was just imagining how much work would have gone into this and also why Capcom hasn’t made some kind of animated series about the Mega Man X or Zero series. The potential is so much higher than for other videogame franchises and why they haven’t capitalised on it properly with a series of animated shows is beyond me. Maybe each episode of the hypothetical shows could focus on one Maverick at a time. It would be _really_ popular if done in a similar manner to this.
I replayed X1 a few days ago and it reminded me how much I love the effects used for Boomer Kuwanger's teleportation in the game. You translated his teleport effect very well from the original source material, and I'm also impressed with the idea of him using the double gear system from Mega Man 11. It adds a new flavour to the character, and yet I can totally imagine him using a device like that if he was to find it.
I noticed that you’ve said that the next Maverick is Flame Mammoth / Burnin' Noumander. I can imagine him reigniting his factory stage after his defeat. Maybe there could be a comical moment where he picks up and reattaches his trunk? 😆
What are your plans for after you’ve completed the whole Maverick roster from X1? Are you thinking of taking a break after X1 is completed? Are you planning on making more of these animations for X2?
I can just imagine Wire Sponge stitching himself back together with metal-reinforced vines after being cut in half by X's Overdrive Ostrich weapon in X2. Maybe the vines would be grown by the top half of Wire Sponge's bisected body after he’d use the last of his energy to reconnect to the weather control system and make it rain to provide water to the vines around him? That’s just my idea of what that could be like. Since Capcom isn’t interested in making more Mega Man X content for the moment, I always look forward to these animations.

I definitely agree that capcom is sitting on a gold mine. And I would love a film or series to tackle all the untapped potential of the franchise.
I guess it's a big risk so they first need to test the waters. But with secret levels coming soon we'll see how that one episode turns out and how the reception will be. With enough positive feedback this might be the reassurance for them to put some money into more mega man stuff.
And my plans are to first finish all 8 Mavericks, then there will be probably 5 final episodes where all stories come together. And we will obviously see X and what he's been up to 😉
But all of this will take maybe another 7-8 years if I keep my pace so after that there won't be any more mega man stuff I guess. I will be 50 then 😁
I think that will be a good point to retire from this franchise knowing that I contributed a bit to the whole fandom.
