I read the first issue of this years ago and I was waiting for the hardcover. Long time coming, can’t even remember the first issue it’s been that long. Reminders one of the best I seriously can’t wait to read this book.
Multiple of these indie deluxe HC's put the Big Two to shame. DC used to have some great omnis for only $75 just a few years back. I sure as heck miss those days.
I thought the FF by Alex Ross or Batman ODK by Jock were the best looking HC’s in recent months then this comes along! We’re spoiled for quality books at present. Hoping to receive my 72E today. Thanks Omar!
Will have to get this eventually. Own the first trade paperback but never purchased the other volumes so I might as well just go for this hardcover when it's available.
Might want to grab a copy sooner than later. I only say this because the Dcbs version was limited to 500 copies and a preorder exclusive. The standard edition is already out of stock on Instocktrades and cheap graphic novels.

Ordered it from IST after reading 2 issues from Hoopla, along with Astro City metrobook 2.
Post office in Sweden have lost my package or better said it came only empty box....and now its impossible to get in Europe, what a luck 😞

I was waiting for this review about a week ago not gonna lie. Almost missed the purchase because i didnt know the hc format got the deluxe treatment and it already sold out on ist.
Just read the first issue on Image's site. I wanted to try Low, but never got around to it. I'm sold on this and will be picking it up. Thanks, Omar.

IST has the DCBS variant cover available as of today in their new releases, grab it while you can!
Have had three copies of this now.
1st one, ribbon was too tight and when opening the book, the ribbon completely detached from the pages.
2nd was damaged in the post.
3rd one had the same issue as the first. I will keep the third and try to re-glue the ribbon back on. Slipping something between the ribbon and the spine seemed to break away unnecessary glue keeping the ribbon bound tight to the spine (which in turn meant that opening the book peeled the ribbon away from the pages). This is now all loosened up and some gluing should make this as good as new (But wait this is new!)
A warning to others buying this, maybe run something thing between the ribbon and the spine to separate properly before flexing the spine.

Hope it’s going to be well-built. Had a couple of the tall Remender books fall apart.

I have the TPB's but will buy this.
Just had my copy arrive. The ribbon is completely detached. Sending it back to get another copy. Seems like the ribbon is pretty tight on this. Anyone else had any issues with it? Also wasn't expecting it to be so big. Larger than a standard Image deluxe. Now it makes sense why my HC copy of The Last Days of American Crime is so large ha ha. Seems like this is a Remender thing.

Rick Remender is a must buy for me. I really wish they'd reprint Black Science
Just got mine and the binding is detached from the bottom, to the point I'm not getting a curve, but a right angle. Pretty disappointing to pay top dollar for a book that they can't even ensure is put together properly. I'd understand if it happened over time, but I haven't even had a chance to stretch the spine and I already have to make repairs. Anyone recommend a glue to use?
This sounds like it should be right up my alley--a fantasy epic--but something about that art just puts me off. Maybe is the garish and glowy colors, or the vaugly 70s-Euro-Scifi-ness of the creatures/background, but it just doesn't give off the fantasy-vibe that sould make it a must-have. Maybe sometime, if the mood hits and there is room in my budget...
I've had an order in for a few weeks and it still hasn't shipped. I'm thinking of making an Amazon order as a back up just in case.
And I didn't realize there was a DCBS variant, but In Stock must be out already.
The DCBS variant was preorder exclusive. It’s the same as the standard just turquoise instead of maroon and the front cover is swapped with the back cover. I actually prefer the DCBS version.
@@TheMoheaddinbody I may need to start using DCBS again. I've only used In Stock since I stopped getting monthly books almost a decade ago, but maybe I should start preordering again...
Preordered this book in Canada weeks before the release date. My order hasn't shipped and it's out of stock where I bought it, I'm praying I get my order.

We need a Canadian equivalent of ist oe dcbs. Even though quite a few are printed in Canada the prices are insane and deals are nowhere be found..

@@akhilz I agree, places like opb, rightstuf, etc have amazing deals but including shipping to where I live it's the same to just order it from a local seller and have free shipping. It's a lose lose situation even when 70% of my books are printed and bound in Canada and lots are from Canadian authors and publishers too.
@@skylarhall5159 cudnt agree more and its been 2 years since indigo had any sales. Usually they had twice a year buy 2 and get 1 free. But since 2020 none whatsoever. Everyone is making money of off our lack od choices in Canada.

Omar, putting this book besides Remenders other books does not give me any idea of how big it actually is as ive never seen his books before. Is this the same size as an OHC/Omni or Absolute edition?

Just finished reading the book. Blown away with the story and the art. The world building was also great. The ending was really good and shows us the dark side of human nature. Dark ending though. If your looking for a happy ending you will be disappointed.
