Matt lmao dude you sound so sheltered. Most countries across the globe fought for their independence from white nationalists within the last 60 years. Saying their trying to reinforce a race war is to suggest it left. A bunch of people went to war to keep other people subjugated, that level of hatred doesn’t just disappear just because a piece of paper says so. Also the way you think this is an American thing and not a already global problem shows how little you know of other cultures and their history with Europeans.
Matt white nationalists HAD already taken over the world hence why people fought for equal rights and independence from their rules. This is basic history my guy. Unless you’re a kid who hasn’t studied world history yet.
26:00 also in the comics they go to great lengths to show you that the superheroes do not know how to use their powers dexterously. They kill people all the time by being negligent. They’re as skilled with their powers as an un-athletic human is skilled with using their bodies.
I legitimately thought that they may have killed Huey off to show the Boys the consequences of being too reckless around the 7. & make Butcher realised he got his Cannary killed & Starlight having to deal with the loss (made even more emotional when finding his voicemail)
I think by the end of the season, we're gonna get some major character deaths. I feel A-train is being set up to die and maybe even one of The Boys. This show feels like that type of show
If the storylines followed the comic more I'd say no, but because it deviates so much I'd have to agree--it really keeps you guessing what will happen (even if you've read the comic).
When I went to watch season 2 this saturday I was shocked by the 2.5 star rating. To find out it was mostly based on the release schedule of season 2 was insulting. I was disappointed I couldnt watch more but it was also 2 am and I needed to go to sleep. The more I thought about it the more excited I was. TH-camrs I watch and reviewers I read can now do a weekly review instead of a season review. Meaning, after every episode we can discuss the twists and turns and theories together. Thers something exciting about that in this world of binge watching because I normally want to talk about and look up reviews of an episode right after I see it. I want to know, what are people thinking, what are people feeling, what do they think is going to happen next! To rate a show badly because you're mad you cant see it all at once is fucking childish. It shows your immaturity because you cant have everything you want right now. And the amount of people who did that shouldnt be shocking to me given the current political climate, but it still is 😔

Usually the reason there are protest in a place is because there's an issue like say racism. So I'm not sure how Storm front being from there seems outdated. Racism is everywhere!
Yeah I mean, Portland used to be a 'whites only' state, even though it seems progressive and liberal now it has a pretty heavy white supremacist foundation. There's still a lot of hate groups and militias there that have worked alongside the police over the years.
It's a pity because I feel like if this show was on any other platform, like HBO for example, then Antony Starr's Homelander would undoubtedly be considered in the same light as Jack Gleeson's Joffrey Lannister or Heath Ledger's Joker portrayal. The character would be HUGE. Even though many people love the show, it still feels a bit niche and underrated.
you notice how stormfront wears really dark on one side of homelander, and starlight wears really light costume on the other side of him. it's like he has a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other. you think this implies that starlight will help to moderate him thru out the season? she didn't have much influence over any of them in the first season. i'm not feeling it, but it would be interesting to see her have more agency in the show without falling in line with the fame and .

Clearly Birdbox doesn't exist in this universe otherwise they'd have realized that Boy and Girl are perfectly normal human names for children and Kimiko was telling them it was her sibling.
Even as someone who loved the binge model from the beginning and still does today, I have no problem with Amazon's choice here. There's only still like a few dozen other okay-to-great series across the streaming platforms you can do right now to scratch that itch. It's nice to have a genre show that would inspire fun fan theorizing to get a little more spaced out again to allow for that, I mean they're trying to basically give us both. Release almost half the season at once, the rest weekly. You're looking for problems if you've got one with that. As far the content so far, I did wonder for a moment in the Kenji death scene if there would be a reveal that he also had Kamiko's ability within him, and the bones and tendon would start to re-form to give Stormfront a kind of 'uh oh' moment.

He seems very strong and hard to put down. He did looked damaged from the bomb, though not as damaged as a normal man would be, but he also seemed not to care. So I didn’t want to assume too much about him in this.
Do you think Homelander will get jealous or even feel threatened by his son being groomed to replace him? Can see Homelander deciding to rid himself of the competition, could be a catalyst to have Becca rejoin Butcher for vengeance.
We don't know if they're going that route yet. They may diverge significantly from the comic reveal and I think they already kind of have with Homelander somewhat confirming that he is the father of Becky's kid.
The first episode was kind of messy. First episode felt like a compilation of scenes rather than a narrative. The second episode I thought was good except from the gills talking scene. My least favourite episode is surprisingly the third one. It didn't work for me. The boys and kimiko could not have gotten away from the seven. How the chase between the boys and seven went down felt so faulty.

You calm it down. This is my opinion. All I meant was it makes the show interesting. The fact I have to explain this is ridiculous. Of course Nazis are “gross”. I didn’t say they were throwing a fit, but if you listened they said they would take that out of the story which is dumb. That’s her character. It’s what makes the audience root against her.

Well in the trailer of the boys there's a scene with homelander vaporizing the public so the rest of the boys Is gonna be good
Marisa exists
this is so important. i legit cried at this. thank you.
Heads will explode for no reason. ;)
3 episodes at once was perfect. There was no more at the same time as when I wanted to stop watching for a bit
I just want Huey to get super powers "somehow". No spoilers. Lol 🤣
@AccidentalGenius 7 He does I'm the comics but idk if they will go that route in the show.
@AccidentalGenius 7 shit sorry 😞
Do you think Homelander will get jealous or even feel threatened by his son being groomed to replace him? Can see Homelander deciding to rid himself of the competition, could be a catalyst to have Becca rejoin Butcher for vengeance.
So just a wild call but black nior was laughing not crying just cuz of the comics
We don't know if they're going that route yet. They may diverge significantly from the comic reveal and I think they already kind of have with Homelander somewhat confirming that he is the father of Becky's kid.
The actor said it was crying
If you guys get a chance, check out the books. Crazy.
I need rowan Atkinson to be black noir
The first episode was kind of messy. First episode felt like a compilation of scenes rather than a narrative. The second episode I thought was good except from the gills talking scene. My least favourite episode is surprisingly the third one. It didn't work for me. The boys and kimiko could not have gotten away from the seven. How the chase between the boys and seven went down felt so faulty.
I cringed so hard when he said toxic masculinity! No one says toxic femininity so don’t fall into that trap, it’s about balance between the mum & dad
My dude, toxic feminity exist too. It's whenever you have someone being manipulative or cowardly etc. Homelander is a sad boy that tries to me "the man" and being shit to everyone involved, including himself.
@@paulineperrin1246 IMO, that's just being a jerk; "toxic masculinity" is such an elitist term developed by PhDs in the school of diversity used to shame and humiliate any man with higher testosterone than a woman. Again, just my humble opinion...
@@Ryanrichey13 that's a dumb opinion. Men (or boys) bothering men over supposedly not so manly things, dancing, painting, inline skating whatever, would be a simple example
Joshua Mack You could have made the same point without the first sentence; no need to put me down to make your point.
RyRich I disagree, I came from a military family and I can tell you all about toxic masculinity
The weekly episodes is kind of bullshit tbh. You know it's just for money because it will allow them to retain viewers and have more activity surrounding the show for a longer period of time.
Can’t stop thinking of this show lol
We need more black noire
not gona lie after stormfront start killing the civilians who happened to be black I was just like nooooooooo WTFFFFF shes worst then homelander
Please talk about Bojack Horseman, I'm sure all of you would like to watch it
Beau would love it
Liberty is Stormfront. She alive since WW2.
Soldierboy might have a history with her.
You think they'll put Soldierboy in season 2, or have him in the show at all? 🤔 Was wondering if we'd see any of the team from Payback or whatever...
@@KabbalahSherry Jensen Ackles has been cast for the role in season 3
I like to binge you guys would like weekly because it gives you something to talk about me I cancel and will comeback when the whole season done
i think grace killed rayner
The deeps a bit of a goober
Damn how are people so offended by fiction
How are people so offended "period"? We all need to just chill out and stop letting the people in power pit us against each other while they laugh and grab more power
People who are complaining about not all dropping at once are fkin degenerates... 🤦
Weekly is so much better format
hi
Yasssssss! Day made....marissa was on too woo hoo
Bring back Nash please :(
Kimiko could always you know, just start talking again.
Not really how being mute works. From the trauma her brains only coping mechanism was to make her mute. It would take years of therapy to try and overcome that kind of disability
@@frankietsunami9566 She a supe.
Lane Stapp again. Not how trauma works buddy.
@@frankietsunami9566 Again, she could. She just chose not to talk anymore, we don't know that she wasn't capable the whole time. And if you say she needs time to recover, one of her powers is healing.
Lane Stapp dude noooo. It’s psychological trauma is not the same as healing from a cut. Seriously look up mute due to traumatic events if you still don’t understand. Being mute is a serious disability that is extremely hard to recover from. And I believe she was mute before she was injected with compound v
Season 2 Final Trailer actually shows who Stormfront is. It shows the crowd she is talking to.
Were not allowed to have racists in our make believe shows now? Just stop. The comics were way worse. Shut it off it makes you uncomfortable.
Calm down, it's just their opinions. 🙄 You don't see them demanding the show be cancelled. You don't see them throwing a fit about anything. Nazis are supposed to make you squirm & feel gross, because they ARE gross, you dolt. All racists are. Let people hate racism as much as they want. Lord knows there's already enough of your kind running around as it is.... 😒 Ya'll will make excuses for everything. Let people being decent human beings if they want to, Christ.
Yeah tone it down, I understand what your saying and I think it's important to drive that home for Stormfronts character. It really does feel gut wrenching and that's the way it should make you feel, but it isn't like they're asking for it to be cancelled. So calm down. You begging for racists terms does make you sound like you get your rocks off on the terms.
You calm it down. This is my opinion. All I meant was it makes the show interesting. The fact I have to explain this is ridiculous. Of course Nazis are “gross”. I’m a Jew, you don’t need to tell me about the ramifications of anti-semitism. I didn’t say they were throwing a fit, but if you listened they said they would take that out of the story which is dumb. That’s her character. It’s what makes the audience root against her.
Don't you ever besmirch Billy Joel!
Sooo, yeah, I like Hughie and all, but he got over the brutal death of his Girlfriend quick, right? :D
I don’t think he’s over it. Just compartmentalized to help him deal with everything else. He’s dragging a lot of weight these last 3 episodes
I mean, if Starlight started “connecting” with you a week or so after your girlfriend got water-ballooned by road runner, it would certainly help distract from the loss.
@@Etticos. nice. ;)
