@@joshuabuchtel2346 They would typically give up on actually trying to do something about it, though. The latest protests about certain police-murdered individuals (who were our citizens, not other states) is rather an anomaly, and only caused due to long-term cumulation of anger towards widespread murder; and, even so it likely won't lead to actual change, which people will still eventually let go. My interpretation of events is that some support for Homelander is rising, which has led to many would-be protesters giving up and turning to inaction, which is more than inline with real-life response to hearing about counter-terrorism casualties in other countries (which is routinely simply ignored).

Plus, that actor played Iceman in the x-men movies. Be just like the boys to have him basically be Pyro.

Definitely think he is Lamp Lighter. The constant flicking of the lighter was a clue. But is he a nurse or a patient? BTW - I never read the comics, so if this is known already or not, I have no idea.
Miners used canaries as a way to detect carbon monoxide pockets. If they hit one, the canary would die very quickly and would signal the miners to evacuate.
Extending the metaphor to Hughie, Butcher will know when he’s gone too far into the darkness because Hughie will be the first to snap

Not only that, but it's not like he completely rebuilt his image. After all there were protests and even Senators objecting to what he did. It's not as if he has just been let off scott free yet just because of a few memes. They may have helped. But the underlying issue is still there.
The Homelander massacre scene has gotta be foreshadowing for either the season finale or season 3. I read somewhere that Kripke told Antony Starr that Homelander will be a “homicidal maniac” next season, like he’s not already...

This was the characters finding purpose after losing it last episode. I feel it coming out weekly is making people more critical of the episodes.
The PR spin that is happening now in real life isn't even believable.
Teddy has evolved so much on this channel while keeping his likeable/funny/entertaining qualities. Hats off to my man Ted!

I hope the fact that most Canaries (used to detect danger/dangerous gasses in coal mines) died isnt foreshadowing.
Homelander is up there with the joker for being the most believable portrayal of the character, they both have complete control and make you focus on every single moment they make because everything is intentional.
I really loved how the rip the hell out of the MCU and Avengers Endgame, specially with the take of the womeh heroes posing for the shot. Is amaing how they criticise the corporate use of things like women empowerment for profit.
Canary’s aren’t used to find your way out. They’re used to detect poisonous gases in the air. They’re more sensitive to it and start freaking out when they detect it.
08:20 lol, canaries didn't lead miners out of danger. They were quicker than humans to die from poisoning by carbon monoxide or other toxic gases. So, miners would take them underground, and if you see the canary has died, you get the hell out of there

8:30 canaries didnt lead them to safety. Their lungs are tiny, a small amount of gas will kill them. Miners used them as gas detectors. If the bird died, it was time to leave the area.
Why doesn't the show or most of the people reviewing it acknowledge there are about 200 Supes spread throughout the US? The 7 are just the most popular. Lamplighter "Retired" and then Starlight came on, The Deep was kicked out and then Stormfront Came in. There are Hundreds out there, which could mean all out Supe War, unless the other Supes just sit back and don't care what is happening.

I agree with Teddy's point in the beginning. The Deep's public restoration has been a slow build to him getting back in the Seven but for Homelander, the memes and stuff is quickly forgotten about when there would be real legal ramification for his actions. For a show trying to show "what it would be like for superheroes in the real world" I thought that plot element was a little sloppy tbh. This should have been like a season finale moment when The Boys expose on camera how horrible Homelander is for the world to see and then leaves it on a cliffhanger for next season
Think about the differences between their mistakes. Homelander killed a civilian while acting to save a group of people, all while being in what looks like a 3rd world country. The Deep sexually assaulted who is pretty much America's sweetheart at the time and gets outed by herself. Compare these actions to military overseas and let's say, the #MeToo movement. You have your answer for why Homelander's image was fairly easy to fix.
@@WhiskerDooz Military action overseas isn't comparable to an individual actions as well as his indifference afterwards. Saying something like "these things happen" as if apathy was his answer. People who hate (especially online) hate forever. And legally, soldiers and their superiors are held accountable for fiascoes overseas so I would believe a superhero with corporate sponsorship would have more of a fall than him dropping in points and getting them back a couple days later. Why isn't there mention that countries government not being happy that an american citizen came in to there country, kill someone and then left with to due process. It felt like the show is just waving away the actual legal fallout that would actually happen (all in service of the plot).
I love the amount of cameos in this show. On purpose or not (surely must be). Matt Parkman from Heroes, Shawn Ashmore from X-Men and Animorphs. Haley Joel Osment.

They die when the air is toxic. Since they're smaller they're affected by the poisoning faster, giving time for the miners to get out
OMG I just realised how to beat Homelander. You need a defence against laser eyes you say? How about a sup that has been referenced multiple times having the ability to blind people. Don't get me wrong Homelander will just laz around randomly causing carnage but he won't be able to aim.

Look at athletes getting accused/charged with a litany of crimes and depending on their level of talent they can basically come back from anything. It's not unreasonable.

Ya'll need to do your research. Maeve very specifically cannot fly. The big scene on the airliner with her and Homelander was so impactful because he says he'll leave her there to die with the normal people, but she allows Homelander to fly her away and saves herself.

One of the guys working in Meave’s marketing strategy is the same guy who got his dick frozen by Ice Princess back in season one. He even says he’s a “writer” and “in marketing” before he tells the story about Ice Princess.

I feel like Frenchie might accidentally figure out a way to use compound V for fighting, because they’ve shown a little bit of him being a drug user so maybe he’ll try to shoot up some compound V and then he’ll realize it also affects regular humans, so the Boys will start using it? I haven’t read the comics but I know they use it in the comics so idk
AJ Orsini I love the comics. But, I’m not referring to that. I’m just saying at this point with only 2 episodes left it’s getting ridiculous that they have physically encountered super humans with super human strength and no compound V and haven’t been squished like a big. I hope Frenchie does. I hadn’t thought of that, but it sounds likely he would do that. Btw I highly recommend the comics. I like the show it’s a good adaptation and enjoyable. But, when something is so ridiculous it ruins the story for me. 🤷🏻♀️
