So good to see you back! I’ve been wondering what happened to you. Good to see another update. You’re in good company on the challenge you faced with disassembling your struts. Just about everyone else that’s posted videos of strut removal on their channels were able to remove the three bolts with a 3/8” ratchet and then the three parts just fell apart. I ended up buying used spindles on eBay as I couldn’t get mine to separate (even after ruining my wood chisels trying). Just a tip for future reference… SnapOn sold a purpose-made brake adjustment tool for getting to the adjustment Star wheels on the front brakes on ‘71-‘72 Super Beetles. I picked one up on eBay and it’s a game changer for adjusting the front brake shoes. Great video and loved the music from Carmen!
Oooh great tip re the SnapOn tool! I'll go get one right now! Having the right tools really makes a difference. I'm almost done disassembling the rear suspension and removing the trans-axle! That video will be up in the next few weeks! Thanks for you kind words!
Love new Old Bug videos!!! Thank you lol
Thanks!! I love doing this stuff!
Glad to see you’re back at it. I wish I had your organizational skills. Ha! I only straighten up when I can’t find things. lol!
Thanks! It feels great to be back in the saddle!
Great video! Love watching your project.
Thanks Phyllis! I'm hoping to crank out videos more often over this summer! I love being off for the summer!
When you get ready to install the new brake metal lines and hoses. Get yourself a set of metric flare nut wrenches.
Okay! Thanks for the tip! I'll go search for a good set right now!
Do you think I should get a six point or twelve point set?
@TrixedOut
Flare nut wrenches, are only 6 point for a reason. Maybe others call them in line wrenches.
So good to see you back!

I'm loving watching you disassemble your Bug. I think I saw all this in John Muir's book page 212!😉 The videos are more entertaining.
Thank you so much! I gotta get that book!
Yes! It’s a must have when owning an old VDub. It's a really great resource and hilarious too.
