    Enjoy your channel immensely. I had a brand new 1971 Super Beetle. It would be a dream yo own one again.

      Thank you so much! You know, when I decided I was going to figure out a way to do all this, the first thing I did (aside from watching a billion how to videos) was set up my garage so I had the space. I believe in that, "If you build it, they will come," sort of thing and, lo and behold, here I am. Shortly after I got the space figured out, I found my bug only about an hour away from my house. It was a great price. Plus, it wasn't so toasted that it was beyond all hope. I say you do that!

    I wouldn't cut a hole in the tunnel, near the pedal assembly, unless you need to. Just my opinion. The floor pans, look like they're in great shape.
