When I was 2 my mom took me to Walmart and I just sat in the cart singing “All I know is I’m not home yet, this is not where I belong” at the top of my lungs 😂
No joke, my family and I were driving through a cemetery one time, and Lauren Daigle's song "Come Alive (Dry Bones)" came on. I was like, "Yeah, let's leave". 🤣
Was scrolling through the comments whilst listening to the audio and read this one and thought to myself "what's this guy on about, the audio balance is fine". Then it got to the end and i got quite the shock, made me jump and now I have burning tea over me 😂
True story, I kid you not: When I was little, my family listened to pretty much nothing but K-Love and Smile FM in the car. A couple of times He Reigns would come on and when the chorus came on for the first time, it would ACTUALLY rain outside, and it would stop when the song ended. When the rain started, we'd laugh and say "HE REIGNS!" :)
I had the same thing happen but it was a few rain drops in a clear sky driving home. I was listening to a lot of Christian music and then a song from owl city (?) You’re not alone came on and there was a verse that was “ when it rains it pours” and as I sang that the rain came on my windshield and stopped. I looked up and no rain. God is great, all the time.
Binge watching your comedy lately and clicking all the like buttons. I swear I'm not a stalker! 😂 I just have a son in the military in Kabul right now and the anniversary of his big brother passing is coming up fast. We desperately need the laughter. Thank you for doing what you do! The world needs you now more than ever.
I moved all the way across America because after I asked God should I stay or Go..Immediately Winds of Change by Kutless played on the radio..that was 16 years ago. Ty Jesus.😊
So true. I feel it's even worse with my local Christian contemporary station because they easily devote more time to commercials than any other station I listen to. So if the pop station plays music for 45 minutes and has 15 minutes of commercials/DJ blathering, you'll hear whatever the popular song is once in 45 minutes. For my local contemporary Christian station, it's closer to hearing the popular song once every 35 minutes. The local station almost ruined Tauren Wells' song "Known" ("I'm fully known and loved by you") for me by playing it once every 20 minutes or so when it first came out. A co-worker always had her radio tuned to the local contemporary Christian station, and I was close enough to hear it...most of the time I was happy about that but I got to the point where I'd recognize the first few notes of "Known" and groan or mock scream or fake excessive enthusiasm, yelling "It's my SONG! I haven't heard this song in MINUTES!", which always cracked my co-worker up. Love the song (again) now but man, I couldn't stand it for a few months.
I don't know about fake, but there's always one that is just WAAAAY over the top! They have SUCH peace in Jesus. The songs REALLY speak to them. If they lead an on-air prayer, it is clear from their voice that they are just SO aware of His presence. And they seem to feel that EVERY SINGLE SONG requires its own ten-minute devotional before and/or after they play it. 🤦♂️
Exactly. My mom used to switch to the top 40 radio stations when there were would be a support drive. Living in Georgia 104.7 The Fish did their support drives for Jamaica every few months. My mom would memorize the date and avoid that station on that day.
The ones I think are super sketchy are the ones who do pledge drives and yet still do commercials. WAY FM calls it “showing appreciation to their corporate sponsors”. I’m like “Naw, either take pledges or do commercials, but don’t do both”
They are a scam because they already have donors and businesses that give the money to support the station for the year but they still do a drive so they can pocket money
They depend on sponsorship to stay on the air. They don’t have commercials. Do you know how much $$$ radio stations get from commercial sponsors? Tons. It takes a lot of money to run a business, and that’s what radio stations are. Learn some things about it before you bring your hateful rhetoric. Go pick on Muslims, see how far that gets you.
Indeed the 90s to early 2000s has the best even 70/80s. Im old school like that. Check out Keith Green he's from the 70s but it's what Christian music should like.
Yes, Christian radio had alot of good times even unsuspicious efforts around humanitized humor relief fixations. Even when we get mad with random dis- maintenance difficulties in and our of service times scheduled. Thanks for helping make forgiveness feel easier somehow. Peace love and happiness friends alike and afar. Thank you JOHN CHRIST for each good day of honest work invested. Keep those smile levels stayging....💚💛💙🖤❤
I used to go to a Christian school, and all the mainstream church and radio stuff was overplayed to death. I can’t stomach it anymore. I don’t personally find the songs bad, just repetitive. I do still enjoy TobyMac though, because that was alway a little too hip hop for my school😂
Yea. The “Jesus is my boyfriend” style or how it’s basically all about them and their feelings gets old. Some of them seem like they are purposely making them to sound like a normal love song trying to make it to secular radio or something.
one time i was in a car long car trip with my youth group and I was listening to ac dc in my head phones, then on the main car radio that ashamed song came on. i laughed so hard-
This is so true. Although I thought he was going to say the reason he stopped listening is because the playlist on Klove and similar is like 12 songs. Edit: I reread the title. I guess my comment is not that relevant but I’m not deleting it lol.
I was reading different comments about CCM, and at first my brain just wrote it off as some sort of weird variation on Credence Clearwater Revival. 5-10 minutes later, I finally figured it out.
YOOOO!!!! THAT OUTRO SCARED THE LIFE OUTTA ME MAN
Thanks for the heads up. Lol
When you know it's coming and it still makes you jump 😂
Your comment saved me. The outro was 5 seconds ahead.
Same
😂😂😂
RIP Ears when the tour dates and music come on at the end way louder...
I thought the same thing. My ears still hurt.
Omg I thought I was gonna be ready for it after reading this comment. I was not.
I somehow literally didn't understand what you said until the end and yeaaah, I'm gonna be deaf for the next 5 minutes.
Omd, it just came out of nothin🥲
I wish I had read the comments first! 😩
When I was 2 my mom took me to Walmart and I just sat in the cart singing “All I know is I’m not home yet, this is not where I belong” at the top of my lungs 😂

😂
😂
A fitting song for Walmart... Just like U2's "I still haven't found what I'm looking for", that was playing one day in Walmart.
@@ednutter7653 Good one! 😁
Christian tiktokers please make a mashup of “no ones gonna know” with “he knows”
That’s a good one.
Yes!!
No joke, my family and I were driving through a cemetery one time, and Lauren Daigle's song "Come Alive (Dry Bones)" came on. I was like, "Yeah, let's leave". 🤣
Exactly 😂😂😂😂😂
I would have been laughing so hard!😂
Swiftly turns off radio.
I'd be like, " I ain't Ezekiel. Not today Daigle. Not today."
😂😂😂
I love the idea of finishing your sentences with song lyrics 😂
It’s the fact that he laughs at his own jokes that KILLS ME. he’s that good 😂😂😂❤️
It's the fact that other ppl are laughing at them that gets me
Most comedians do that
Note to Editor: Audio Balancing is your friend. On other news I know my heart works and I don't need a pacemaker 🤣
😂

"This is not where I belong......HE KNOWS!!!"
Those darn guardian angels. They know.

@@shell7142 wtf
I know all the lyrics to this song.
I listen to K love, but what's the station for smile FM??
@@JuanGarcia-lj2xe I don't remember, I haven't listened to it in about 11 years.

Got in a car accident two weeks ago, the song on the radio started playing, "I can't Make it, Lord Without"
Are you doing OK today?
How are you feeling? Jesus loves you
Stay safe
@@Jesusbride515 much better, my ankle and ribs healed and got a new car. Praise the Lord!

I just love Christian music, even though we’re a bit funny sometimes 😂
Agree we have some weird quirks 🤣
gets the last spot in a parking lot:
hallelujah! oh oh, oh, oh, hallelujah!
I love the way you mixed in music with comedy. That's really unique. 💕

Haha freaking love this guy! Please come back to Portland one day, we need Jesus and John Crist!
My two needs: Christ and Crist
The Dare you to Move comment gets me! That has happened so many times lol
THIS IS GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love that he cracks up at his own jokes!
This is unique, John. Bring this back with new songs in your shows!
" we're gonna wash you in the blood" 🙀 "I'm gonna call the 👮♀️ . 🤣🤣👏👏
I love how your comedy is not blasphemous but so satirische and funny. Can I buy DVDs? :)
These are so funny I just can’t
You can't what?
Never seen the Christian Radio Station this way. This is absolutely hilarious! 😂Good work John Crist
He's an actual comedian?! I never knew, that's awesome
Had the video cranked because of the low volume. Outro hit and I jumped into the fifth dimension 😂
This was so hilarious! Absolutely loved this idea 😆
I can't listen to christian radio because it's always the same old songs and it just gets overplayed. Same with every radio station, really.
Yea same
Glad I’m not the only one.

In the words of Christian Contemporary Music: "This is not where I belong."
Yeah. Although I listen to 91.9, they do repeat alot of the same songs.
I can’t listen to christian radio because of the DJs. They always seem so fake.
I usually go to Amazon music or TH-cam haha.
check out AFR (american family radio) if you have a station in your area

So true 🤣 it's like the holy spirit narrates our lives with song just to make his work more interesting
It's so true though!! I was stuck working really late and it was like 11 pm and K-love plays "Stiiilll working, still still workin' workin'..."
I love that I know all these songs almost by heart
I was there when he told this joke and it made me realize that I've went through some of the same things.
I'm at work laughing so much. Thank you!! 😂🤣 love it
I had the radio on without really listening, until I caught “let me tell you bout my Cheezit!”
I'm SO glad I found this channel!
Can we talk about the way every 2 weeks there’s a support drive for Christian radio stations? Like… money laundering much 😂😂😂

I love watching John Crist his comedy is hilarious I can relate to all the things he mentions
I can’t listen to christian radio because it’s all so generic these days
The 2000's-2010's are the peak of Christian Radio imo
Yeah
Kendrick Lamar
Indeed the 90s to early 2000s has the best even 70/80s. Im old school like that. Check out Keith Green he's from the 70s but it's what Christian music should like.
I dont listen to it because it takes the time I could be spending hearing GODs word from pastors or talking about GOD on the radio

This is hilarious and strangely kind of relatable.
Popular Opinion: Every single one of ya'll agrees that Crist made our day enthusiastic:

Perfect for Friday night! Much support from the Netherlands 🇳🇱🤗
Me, personally, I can't listen to mainstream Christian radio anymore because of how terrible it is
I miss Sweet Comfort Band, DeGarmo & Key, John Michael Talbot, Don Francisco, Daniel Amos, 2nd Chapter of Acts.
@Eliya Kachelmyer how could I forget Phil Keaggy or Keith Green??
I agree. I listen to older Christian musix

I would drive from Utah to Wyoming 😂love this guy
Random but I visited Wyoming for the first time this year and loved it. Great state.
Miss this guy ❤️
The RiOT with Obadiah and Nikki was THE BEST morning show on Christian radio. R.I.P.
Hes amazing and so current 😅
Such a simple premise - using worship songs as punchlines - but so funny every time. Onya John you’re killing it mate 🙃
You ain't never lied lol. Klove😂😂😂😂😂
He's like a Sebastian Maniscalco a liiiiiil bit ;)
Bought tickets for saint Louis woooo!!!!!! Im excited
I swear I was worried about something and then the song on the radio played and was like don’t you worry about a thing and I was like hUh HOW
It grates a nerve When the volume's up full blast to hear the video, then the credit music blows your speaker out
.. wasn't expecting that.
Dude you need to come to NY!!! You’re great !
I'm in MA & wish he would come to New England
John you should come out here to Sacramento for a comedy night on your tour!
I love that I knew every song 🙌🏼😂
And I agree that a song comes on when you feel something
This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen in my LIFE! 😂
Thank y'all for the music warnings. I lowered my volume

This weekend right now KLOVE is doing some “right song, right time” requests and stories or something like that. You should call in. lol
Very funny bit. Timing was perfect. I disagree with the title, though. This is about when the radio speaks to you, not when it scares you.
Thank you! Needed the laugh. We could sure use some of your comedic spirit here in Ohio. December 28th?
I love how he had to pause because he’s laughing so hard
You are just brilliant !!!
I got excited for the 24 September date at the end: Melbourne!
