I find anime offers a ton of cool sounding names that often have cool meanings. I mean at least grow up with a cool name.

In South Africa and other African countries, names like Talent, Gift, Blessing and the likes are common. It's almost like direct translations of their traditional (native language) names. The meaning is usually very important to them and quite significant, relating to their birth, for example.

Sarah Zanotti is VERY funny! I can only think of four female comedians that are consistently funny and she is one of them. Tina Fey, Mallory Everton, and Jetta Juriansz are the other three. See them on TH-cam. Tina Fey isn't always clean with her jokes, but the other two are. The second word I would use to describe them after hilarious is brilliant. Those two things must the killer combo. I mean that figuratively.

I live in Anabaptist country (rural Montana) and they seem to like the lesser known Old Testament names a lot. Not always, my sister and her husband are a Christian couple, they had their first daughter ten years after they got married, now they have four daughter's. They just weren't ready and had full time jobs and my sister studied at the Art Institute in Atlanta, and they both traveled abroad a few times, then they were ready.. four daughters, under the age of 10. My heart goes out to her! Lol 😉

@@derekhandson351 Unfortunately, adoption is not easy and very expensive. I have tried both routes-- private adoption and fostering (to adopt). Both ended in failure.

God usually names my babies randomly out of no where. Lol God landed my daughter’s name on me randomly and the meaning was extremely relevant.
I had had an abortion previously and never felt forgiven/had no idea… I was distraught for years. Finally got pregnant again then the Holy Spirit just said “Eliana” I had never heard it before in my entire life……. Never. It means my God has answered me. That was my special affirmation from Him that yes I really was forgiven. And she has always been a voice from above. God regularly speaks through her. Even just responses to my thoughts. Immense blessing.
Now I’m pregnant again. And he’s already given me the name. I won’t say it here because it’s a surprise for my husband, but it means “God is gracious.” So I’m very excited for this baby to be a walking example of divine grace. I’m so so so excited to learn from this baby.

Bible names that would likely not be good choices for a variety of reasons: Herod, Judas, Pilate, Lot (had a wife that got into a salty situation) Nebucanedzzar (I would sure hate to have to spell that for everyone). And as much as I like the names and the stories of Elijah and Elisha having identical twins with those names could be problematic.

I think this is so true for so many couples. I have a couple names planned out for any future kids that I may have, but as a society we have become obsessed with naming our babies with these outrageous names. Instead we need to pray to God and the Holy Spirit will touch us and provide us with the perfect name. I can guarantee it’s not gonna be “branch” or “gracenataliesue” all one word. 😂
