Dan and I are leaving Scotland next week for our round the world tour, you guys have helped us decide to do 5 weeks in New Zealand. cycling is Dan's favourite thing, drinking Malborough wine is my favourite thing. thank you for your inspiration!!!
Your videos are so beautiful and so much love has gone into making them. It’s appreciated so much! I can not travel due to stage 4 cancer, so watching your videos makes me feel I am there with you both! Thank you, and please keep them coming 🙋🇬🇧
Sorry to hear about your health, My wife had cancer stage 3 ten years ago and now is doing fine. Many people with stage 4 beat cancer! (check out www.chrisbeatcancer.com)
Thank you so much, we love that you feel like you're traveling with us! Sorry to hear about your health, we're thinking of you and sending all the good vibes your way.
A bike booze cruise! Cycling and wine, 2 of my fave things so the perfect day I reckon. Chickens are crazy - we used to keep them years ago. They would go nuts when we got up in the morning and drew the curtains cuz that meant feeding time :)
You would absolutely love this! Haha these chickens knew it was feeding time as soon as they saw the tourists pull up 😂 We were far too greedy to share our cheese and wine though!
Now I have this picture in my head of many wineries clustered together, and on the paths through them, New Zealanders tipsily riding bicycles, tasting wines, and laughing. I want to be there!
You pictured it exactly how it is! Theres some decent distance between some, but it's good to get some exercise between eating crazy amounts of cheese with your wine 😂
Ok, totally adding Yealands to the itinerary for our South Island trip this year. I love their wines and the fact you can just drive around and have your own picnic is so cool!
Yealands' concept of being able to drive around, giving you guys a picnic rug and hamper was great, though I do prefer the biking idea. I did something similar in Austria's Wachau wine valley many years ago, I definitely felt tipsy each time we left a vineyard as I'm not normally a drinker 🤣 One of my favourite day trips from my many years of travelling - I expect I'll be doing the same in Marlborough when I finally make it to NZ ❤️
Another enjoyable video.😀 The food and wine looked amazing, 🤢Glad to see you don't drink and drive. Stay safe and have fun. Thanks for sharing your lives with us and NZ. 🧔
You guys are amazing. We had to cancel our travel to South Island New Zealand because of the lockdown here in Australia. Watching you guys in this lockdown makes me happy. Hoping the travel restrictions are lifted soon. Your videos deserves 1M views, keep them coming.
Aw thank you so much Presha, that's really kind! Hope you're doing ok in lockdown, we're crossing our fingers you can reschedule your South Island trip soon 😊
My hubby and I have been travelling Nelson Tasman and Marlborough the last 10 days. Literally following your recommendations! 😁 Went to Wairau and Nautilus yesterday. Loved it! And love your vids!
Oh Stacey that was so elegant... the sparkling Pinot Gris from a flute. I do that and my nose doesn't fit in the glass so I either sip it like it's acid or throw my head back and slosh it in one like a true lush. Well done you! I wanna do that tour :D
😂 There's no shame in your nose not fitting! I never know where to look when I'm being filmed drinking!! Do I look at the camera? Do I look at the wine? Do I look at all the people looking at me? So many options hahah
@@DanegerAndStacey No Stacey as you sip it look wistfully into the middle distance as if it has reminded you of wonderful times the two of you have shared :D
what a gorgeous video. As always so much effort has gone into the quality of it, your hard work is much appreciated and it just makes me desparate to get out there and travel again
Introduced to NZ wine by Brokenwood Mysteries, a NZ telly show we watch on Amazon Prime. Season 1 Episode 2 gave us a view of the extent of the wine industry in Kiwi Land. Your tour is much more fun, but we really like the Brokenwood series as well. Great tour, but we may have to take it on golf carts instead of mountain bikes.... love you guys, Loni & Al ❤️
Wauw 🤩 Beautiful stunning Area. 😂😂 cycling on a wine tour Brilliant ( for sure a great idea so everyone can enjoy ,not have the driver missing out ). Great video
Hi guys we just discovered your channel and are delighted to see another kiwi couple exploring our lovely country. So if you do happen to spot our setup on the road somewhere do pop your heads in 🙂. I think we should be easy to spot with a matching black and white 1960 Chevrolet and a 1970 Lilliput Caravan. Happy adventures guys. From Robert and Nicola Little CamperNZ
Absolutely 😂 The bikes fell over, the camera fell outta the basket, I lost my lens cap, we got lost, it was hilarious! Saving those parts for the bloopers episode at the end!
As a wine lover and a Californian, I feel like you guys made this vlog specifically for me! As you can see from my photo! I wish TH-cam would have a double thumbs up button 👍👍, as I would certainly press it for this one. Can't wait to see you guys do this here in California! 🍷🍷😎
Great video, that bike tour looked like so much fun. Been looking forward to this leg of the trip, as Marlborough wines are some of my go-tos. Mostly see Sauvignon blanc here in the UK, but will look out for the Pinot Gris.
It's so cool to hear how many of our international friends love Marlborough wines too! They're definitely most well known for their sauv but the pinot gris surprised us, incredible!
I did a wine tour in Blenheim about 17 years ago, I have very fond memories. One image in particular stands out, leaving in the early morning I could see the word Marlborough written on one of the hills ( somehow) and cattle running across the word. wonder if that is still there?
Blenheim rocks! Except for the grapes, just look at all the chemical residue on the grape close up shots. So much chemical being sprayed in such a narrow valley has gotta be good for ya! Yealands winery is much recomended, very nice picnic place!
This was so much fun! The bikes had to be the funnest bit? Also you guys have honestly taught me so much about wine I now go in the wine aisle with my mam and tell her the good ones! I’m like “anywhere with Marlborough!” 😂
Haha the clip from the Nautilus winery with the iconic saxophone tunes from "Baker Street" in the background reminded me of your trip to Arrowtown, where Chris Isaak was playing and you had to do a voice over to bypass copyright. Wineries seem to have a taste for bangers from the 90s! Love your videos and hope to visit beautiful NZ soon ❤ All the best from Germany!
Hahah oh how could we forget about the dubbing scene 😂 On this trip our biggest enemy is the cicadas, they're SO loud you can't hear us in half the footage we've filmed!
Hi guys again big thumbs up love the video Must say have you both thought of starting up a tour company of NZ the reason for asking is you are both so friendly and always have lots of laughs and smiles and have so much knowledge of your travels 😀
I have a serious question, I'm considering moving to bali and I just somehow saw your videos about how snake invaded in your Villa, I might have to reconsider if something like that happens often. Do you encounter a lot of snakes there? I HATE snakes. What area do you suggest live if I wanna avoid snakes?
We can only speak to our own experience, and this was the only time we ever encountered a snake so I wouldn't let it worry you too much. Our garden and pool weren't well maintained by our landlord so that's probably why it picked our place to call home. Don't let the snakes stop you!
Lol swish that wine around describe its fruity flavour how smooth it is on the palate cmon....you just want that sweet nector that makes you drunk haha
Well, Patrick you picked the wrong video to make your point on, because this wine bike tour cost a grand total of $45......... And driving through a vineyard is free. You don't have to do it in an expensive motorhome like us ✌️

OMG, that was so cool. Lovely winecycle tour, I must do that some day. Cheers!
Wincycle! Love it!
Thanks for nice memories I lived here and worked in wine industry in 07/08 and 13/14 nice place.
That looked like a such a fun! Enjoy! 🤩

Definitely do the White Road Tour, it was so much fun!
Exquisite content that I absolutely enjoy escaping virtually.
Thanks so much 😊
This sounds like the best thing ever! A bike tour through Winelands tasting wine along the way! 😄🍷
It's awesome! Definitely a must-do activity!

Wow that sounds amazing, we will have to put Austria on our list for when its safe to travel again!
As a wine addict, thank you for this episode
Haha glad we could help feed the addiction!
This was so good and I regret that I ever moved from NZ but I guess with me coming home I will have a another view how lucky you can be to be a kiwi
So true!
It's hard to leave home, grass being greener and all that.
Breakfast looked absolutely delicious! Love your senses of humor and how much fun you have doing everything!
It was soooo good! Definitely needed for a day like this, so much fun and so much wine 😂
Vineyard tour, you guys really do suffer for your art 🤣
Another great video, my wanderlust is off the chart! Thanks for the escapism!
Right?! It's tough work, but someones gotta do it 😂 Thanks for coming along for the ride.... get it? Wee pun for ya there!

Love this video - the perfect way to experience wine tastings! We get some Marlborough wines in the US, mainly Sauv Blanc, which is amazing!

Oh that's awesome, we haven't seen that yet! Doing the tour on golf carts would be just as fun, they should definitely offer that as an option!
I can’t tell you how much I would love this, I adore cycling and Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Can’t do that in Scotland 🏴

Great video again. Enjoy the content! Hey where did you get your shirt from Daneger??
Thanks Anton! He got it a couple years ago but it's from Amazon Surf
I did a similar tour by myself about 2 1/2 years ago. It was really drizzly day & dodgy bike but being mildly drunk kind of made up for it
Haha love it! It's funny how a few drinks can brighten up the situation! Glad you enjoyed it despite the drizzle.
