Still totally perplexing to me why they did the blood angels this dirty. It's not like they can't or don't want to do a more detailed, gothic aesthetic - the new deathwing knights and inner circle companions are great for that, in my opinion. And the AOS line shows they've got incredible sculptors working for them. So why ditch all the cool BA detail that was what made the old sang guard & death company so appealing?
9th edition when models were being upraded and new characters for primaris got out everyone got mad because they said that the models were unfun to paint because of all the cloth and small details (same with death guard) it's not to save money that's for sure the designer get paid the same either way. Notice how necron, xenos, chaos modells are still as detailed as the beginning of 8th, it's because people didn't wine about too manny rivets and gribles on the armour when new models got released.
Its my head canon for years that someone in the shareholders really hates blood angels. Its beyond incompetence at this point, someone is playing sabotage
i didnt know i wanted to see some grimdark gold painted until you showed me. Those Sanguinary Guard look great! Their aura just seems fitting for them.

Don't they have a lead Designer who has to approve things like that? If yes: replace him! Also I love the gold tutorial! I'll try to paint my Chaos Marine trim like that, but it will be difficult
AoS designs and sculpts are astonishing, 40K aren’t anywhere near the same standard. It’s bizarre. Great job as always. That green tint on the gold is SO good.

Dude, your editing has improved so much, fantastic work. Noticed a weird effect going on when you showed the grid matt with the bits on it, not sure what's happening there. I thought using putty to smooth out the shins to be a bit odd, and I wonder if you couldn't have achieved the same effect easier with plastic cement or sprue gue. Fantastic job on the kitbash. Totally agree on the older heads and those wings being the right choice. Personally, the deep dark metal isn't for me, but I understand what you're going for. Suppose the jump in contrast is just too much to my taste. That said, all of the effects were phenomenal and the leopard print is something i'm gonna be studying how you did in more depth later. Another great video again, mate. Love seeing you sculpting. Almost hope GW keeps screw up models for you to show them up. lol
These new blood angel releases have been such a let down. Removing the wings is insane. And the Sanguinor model is just a re sculpt with not enough change to really sell the epic nature of an undying angel moving through the warp to aid his brethren in their darkest hour.
That is absolutely amazing ❤. The final result looks so, so good, but I love the process as well - the use of inks over metal colours is something I have to try for myself.
I loooove the wings on your version, Trovarion!!! I also really like the idea behind the paint scheme, but ultimately cannot see these as donning gold armor since the green makes me only think of them as wearing copper armor (due to copper oxidizing green)... Still a fantastic video, thank you!

Beautiful conversion, I love how the wings look. I’ve mostly been using HH models as I’m not a fan of most primaris models, but that makes me want primaris sanguinary guard
The way everybody should fear the Blood Angels. Bravissimo maestro. The way you treat real metallic colors is second to none. You give the miniatures the real mood of WH40k.

They're trying to expand and reach out to grab all those people into tactical games, military veterans, and other modern military feels.
