Having been an Android user (and a proponent for Google Maps) for years, Apple Maps has quickly become one of my favorite tools on my iPhone! Google Maps pales in comparison, and it doesn't even begin to match the functions you describe in the video! This is yet another video where I have learned far more than I ever imagined possible!

Very handy. Maybe I will have to download Apple maps. I haven’t tried it for years. I’ve always used Google maps but this video has convinced me to try Apple Maps. I think I didn’t like that it didn’t have street view everywhere.
Great video. Now provide an alternative to my Microsoft Streets route planning guide which has been defunct for years. There is nothing I have found that is even close where you can provide preferred parameter such as average speed, rest stop frequency and the travel time parameters that you want to use each day to plan a road trip. With MS Streets they even had a very large database of motels, sites, etc that could be included in the route planning. Help me Dave!
I don’t get it … so I picked a guide on iPad and sent it to myself - I opened it on my iPhone but it doesn’t give me any driving directions even when opened in Apple Maps??? Surely I’m missing something?
I think you bring up an absolutely excellent point and @Apple should make that a thing. That would be extremely handy if you wanted to remember to order a particular dish or request a specific waiter.
Still not satisfied...waypoints...waypoints...la to vegas to green river to durango...need waypoints...gives distance, etc. Common' Apple...am i missing something...competitor does it.
Great video, thank you. Is there a way to create a ‘Trip Plan’? I.e plan a 2 week trip that has multiple destinations and trips within it, e.g Day 1 from A to B and sites along the way, then Day 2 etc etc?
This app would be 1000 times better if it enabled us to actually add driving routes with mileage and itinerary to send to fellow travelers. Just now it appears to be just a list of business locations I have to open individually and then individually add to driving directions with no ability to save routes to the guide. It’s so incredibly poor I think I must be missing how to use it.
Why to use this app, if I am excluding some friends? Why not use Google Maps which allows me to do it better, well I can not make a reservation!! OMG!.. but can Maps import POIs from other sites? I have for example of all possible caravan parkings all over europe (a few tausend) that a certain site offers. In a second all imported... Maps? can't
I think Maps has room for improvement in several areas, and you certainly bring up a good point. Another that I would love to see is Apple needs to make Maps.Apple.com work the exact same way as Maps.Google.com

This is what I’m looking for too. I’ve used Wanderlog, but I really want Apple Maps to do this. Have u found a way?
Under the settings under Maps I could not find extensions
