My ex is from Louisiana and after her father passed away, we were going through all of his stuff, and I found his tacklebox.. She told me, "Bet you there's a gun in there..." and there was.. Being from a more northern part of the US, I naively ask, "Why would he have a gun in his tacklebox?" and she said, matter-of-factly, "Because when you're fishing in the bayou, there are things that can eat you if you don't have a gun." .. Made sense to me.

Fun fact: some tribes referred to human meat as “long pig” due to the taste and consistency.
Honestly, a better joke for the “what you’re actually eating” set up would’ve been to say “nutria” and then after she says “it’s delicious” tell her that it’s a invasive species of swamp rat.

    Hello Alteori.
I remember this movie, have not seen it in a long time. It came out in 2004, I was in 3rd or 4th grade when it was on sci-fi. It was okay back then, but now, after watching this review it was meh - horrible, still kinda liked it. Genetic engineered snakeheads, scary to see those in the while. Oh Alteori, you should check out Snakehead Terror from 2004 it's somewhat related to Frankenfish. Please do a review of it.
Also, if you haven't already please check out Anonymous Rex from 2004. Sci-fi dinosaur movie. Dinosaur survive the extinction event disguise as humans living among us.
Anyway, another great video, Alteori, I like it, see you in the next one.

In regards of what questions you had about Hexes and Charms Alteori🦊, as a modern witch myself (going around 5 years at this point), I can tell you that we have a philosophy that whatever you do to another "will be returned thricefold". And hexes and charms mean't to make a person fall in love with you are STRICTLY taboo to many of us, as it will ALWAYS bring musfortune to both people. The most we do in terms of a "love spell" are spells mean't to increase passion or sexuality that is already existing.❤ A person compelled to do something will usually have feelings of discomfort and will find themselves constantly second-guessing themselves on the matter. In terms of curses we only use things that prevent ourselves from being cursed or (for the VERY few of us) we do so when a person has wronged us constantly or is beyond reasoning with. Happy to answer your questions, and let me know if you want to ask anything else.👍🦊

I don’t know much about swamps but my family does have a boat. Considering swamps typically have large trees and thick areas of mud it could be easier for a larger boat like the one around 5:20 to be unusual in a swamp. The roots from trees can easily scrape up the bottom if it’s too close and could potentially get stuck in or on something like mud or debris. But again I don’t live in or near a swamp so I’m not really qualified to say this is for sure a fact.

This is a one of those sad stories where the protag dies.

It's hard to see, but when the frankenfish grabs the ladder, it's also grabbing at least one of her legs at the same time. The first time I saw this movie on a streaming service, I replayed it a couple times because I was just as confused as you were. But lo and behold, I saw the blood spatter from the fish's teeth biting into her leg.
(Edit) To be honest, I'm still confused as to why her entire lower torso was ripped away instead of just her leg, but the result would have been the same, I think.

The trailer looks so intriguing but all the review said that it's very slow and boring. Even the people that left positive reviews said it's a slow burn

I liked it and I usually agree with your reviews but I could see someone saying it was slow but still very interesting

For the ladder: I don't know, maybe they wanted the monster to chop off her legs but the animation went wrong, because it looks like the creature doesn't only puch the ladder, but snaps at it too.

An actually decent swamp person movie is Beasts of the Southern Wild. It's not horror but it's a sweet and sad story. And yes there are monsters, sort of.

Is the intro repeated for anyone else or did it just glitch on my side?

You might enjoy a movie called Tammy and the T-Rex, if you haven't seen it. Not a suggestion for another video, Just a movie I found funny. Granted, I've a darker sense of humor than most.
Also, if my fiance's mother talked to me like that, and my fiance acted like that lawyers girlfriend did after I said something. I'd get in my vehicle and leave. It's clear she wanted that lawyer to help because he owned a boat. Dude would have been justified in hopping into his boat and leaving.

Although the gun can go off, there is no way the angle of the gun could do that to her: 1. It's too solid of a wound to be anything other than either buckshot, or a solid bullet; and 2. it would have been aiming at her legs, not her head, so even with a scattering shot, like bird shot, the most damage it could do at that range would be to blow chunks out of her legs. If the gun had been propped up on something, so that it was angled up a bit, then I could see it possibly taking a chunk out of her head.
