Learn how to add custom vinyl designs to lampshades! Do you love surprising guests with your DIY home decor skills? Give them a real surprise with these silhouette lampshades that only become visible with light! Saw CraftHTV do this 2yrs ago and loved the idea I did it as a gift, but on a small 1 and it looked amazing. Forgot all about it until now and now will be doing more as gifts.

@JenniferMaker unfortunately I didn't get a pic, which now I do all the time..lol..but I found to that if people don't feel safe, which some don't, using them with regular bulbs, sticking a bright puck light on top of socket in place of bulb will work. It did at least for the small one. Just another idea.
Can't wait! Been needing new lampshades but they cost more than a whole new set of lamps!

Hello Jennifer, I am stuck! I have a question, perhaps I am doing this all wrong. I have a tapered lampshade in the living room which has a shape which is small circumference (13.75") around the top and larger cirucmference on the bottom (25.25). The hieght from top to bottom is 15". How to I enter my measurements for the dahlia design? I am working with my Cricut Joy. I have other lamps that I want to try the other designs on , but I want to play around with this one first. Thanks. @@JenniferMaker

Question: what temperature and time would I put my easy press 3 at when using infuseable ink on submatable earrings? Also, can both sides be pressed at once? I’m a noob at earring making. Lol

On your desk I see the designs in black. Where do you use them?
The ones in black on my table are just there so you can see the designs -- if I had cut those out of white vinyl, all you would see was a white sheet. So the black vinyl ones are just a visual for you. Now you COULD use black instead of white on the inside of your shade, but you would probably be able to see the design without the light on. If that is okay with you, you can use any color of vinyl. But I wanted the design to be hidden until the light was on, so I put white vinyl on the inside of the lampshade.
