i totally agree to this. whenever i feel lost on what to make, i come here and your website to get inspired. i suffer from anxiety and depression and have MS, and i craft along with you like a friend. thank you jennifer.
I’ve made dozens of Dollar Tree glass cutting boards with waterslide. I put the design on the underside and later spray with acrylic sealer. There is no reason they can’t bring used for cutting or serving on the top side. No dishwashing. I love waterslide and don’t know why Jennifer doesn’t use it more.
You break things down SO well; I am very much a person who needs specific instructions. I have avoided a lot of crafts I'm interested in simply because the tutorials I've found aren't clear enough; now I'm working a cricut into the budget! Thank you!
Just wanted to say how much I enjoy tutorials, you were one of first people I found when I started on my Cricut journey. Your tutorials are fantastic! Thank you for sharing your talent
Jennifer, I love love love all of your knowledge that you share with everyone. I know that I can't thank you enough. Thanks for being the special person that you are! ❤💜🧡🤎💙
This is a great project, thank you for sharing. I am really having trouble getting my colors intense enough on the glass. Even at 90 seconds, there does not seem to be ink much left on the paper, but the mid tones are pretty lost to be a suncatcher. Against white it is not bad, but near invisable (maybe a little exageration) against the light.
@@JenniferMaker Hi Jen. On an unrelated note. How do I design a heart or circle on design space and just leave the outer line and remove the inside? Then if i put another design in the circle but it's a different color can I attach them? Thank you! What's the easiest method to do then use the Cricut. Thank you!
I tried the laminate method on a round Dollar Tree cutting board. I did the laminate for the 60 seconds as suggested with my Easy Press and added another 30 secs to the sublimation time (so 90 secs) because it looked like it needed it. I was pretty successful! The only thing I would do differently would be to use my Easy Press to go around the edges for some additional time. The edges in 2 places are light. I think the cutting boards may not be perfectly level so the edges may not get an even press like the middle does. Other than that I'm calling it a 2-thumbs up! Thanks Jennifer!
Absolutely LOVE how you explain things!!! Quick question; where did you find the hooks for hanging the completed project? I can not find any. Thanks!!!
If your file is an SVG it should scale up and down freely without losing any details. You have to be careful with the other file types. Could this be your issue?
I'm new to sublimation and am so excited to try this. Wondering though, if you're sublimating on the back of the cutting board why shouldn't the front side be used for food? Thanks!
WOW... These are just gorgeous! I have a cricut joy n Maker 3 . But I live in a cave with an atena...so I'm still trying to figure out how to do basic cutting and writing. Just got a computer, as my parrots destroyed our last one! 😣 I hope I can do this, one day soon. I will be going to dollar tree. I've made actually stain glass before. They're over my kitchen and bedroom window. I hated the process. Well...🤞 Thanks for sharing. Wish me luck... I'll be putting on my aluminum foil helmet ( while I'm in my cave.) 😜 ..
You are so very welcome! Take a look at the actual blog post tutorial for more detailed information/technique.jennifermaker.com/sublimating-on-glass/ ❤️
If it weren't for you and your team, I don't think I could do half the projects I have. You inspire a lot of people. Thank you.
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! 💗
