As soon as I open new, or use a tape on a roll (of any type: masking, painters’, duct, electrical or washi) I find the end ONCE, then fold the end over about 1/4 inch, so I never, ever have to look and feel for, and look and try to find the end. The end is ALWAYS easy and fast to find ✅ Saves lots of time and boatloads of frustration 🤓
Thank you for so many ideas. I’m not a paper crafter but I used washi tape as decorative trim on the bottom of a lampshade. It’s been in place for several years and it’s on a lamp that we use every night. It was nice and sticky so I haven’t had any problems with it lifting. I thought your viewers might be interested in this more unusual use 😊
I have a non craft use for Washi tape. I have loved your ideas, l am just getting started with paper crafts. But before when l was traveling, l put washi tape on both ends of my cell phone charger cables, and the plug ins. That way if you are with friends that have same cables, you will pretty much always know yours. Plus on the charger plug it, it makes them really pretty. Just a thought.
Hi Gwen, Grear video! I stated using washi tape for a new travel journal and it is so fun. My 4 year old granddaughter is now also journaling with me. Your tips are wonderful and oh so welcome. I subscribed and look forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you again! Best from California
I gifted some washi tapes to a young relative who's into crafting. I shared this video with her via her Gran who is my Cousin. Wonderful & inspirational! 🥰🦘
Amazing, I'm blown away by all the ideas! I think I'll make recipie cards with them, and regular cards too, but idk how you came up with so manh idea's!
When you made a small tag of patterned paper, I was thinking you could enlarge that on a copier for some nice homemade patterned paper W/O using up all your fav tapes🤗
Once you apply the washi tape you can make a cut from outside corner to the inside corner, remove the extra tape. Then tape the back of the corner and you have a perfect frame.
hello ^^ I have some ideas: - stick washi tape or sticker on cardboard and then stick magnets on the back or magnetic foil - stick washi tape on any paper and intuitively continue the patterns with any pens, markers or paints you want
Hello Gwen. I am a new subscriber and love all the ideas for washi. So glad to find your channel. I notice you use your sewing machine a bit does the paper tear?
Welcome Margaret 🤗 I'm so glad you found me too! I stitch on my layouts a LOT and have never had an issue with the paper tearing. I just go nice and slow and make sure not to force anything as it is going through. I do recommend you have a separate needle when working with paper as it does blunt quite quickly. You'd want to switch it out if you also sew fabric projects.
YES! Great tip, if you have too short of a stitch it can 'perforate' the paper which is not good 🫣 I like the look of the longer stitch too, it gives it more of a hand stitched look. Thanks for adding this tip here 🌸@@andrealavigne7824
Guilty and why not - local supermarket had a clearance 10rolls in a tube for 75c ... and the sticky on the back was not the problem - some were fluoro colours, even as a masking tape it's still cheaper and yep went back to grab a few more after l tried it .... Also now got good tubes for beads 😁😁😁
Why do people ink the edges of cards? I'm new and not explaining this very well, but I saw someone put ink on the edges and not really explain why they did it.
Hey Judy... it's actually purely decorative. Some people like the look of the inked edges. It can work really well with a vintage style project, they ink the edges in a brown ink to make the paper look more vintage. I'm not a fan BUT many many people love it. When I do it, I like it to look very subtle. Hope this helps! 🌸
🤣 Soooo many people! I think for many they were an inexpensive thing to 'collect' and oh so many designs too! Many people over bought and now are looking for fun and interesting ways to use that stash up. I'm a big fan of using what you have and that's why I made this video 💗
@@kaylasprettynails2848 Thank you... I'm always open to criticism on how to make my videos better, it's hard though when the feedback is super personal like this and something I can't really change. Thanks so much for sharing, I have never heard of it used that way and am quite surprised that it is still in position. What a great idea.

I use washi to identify my many notebooks. And on the edges of my pages in my notebooks as a sort of page marker/permanent bookmark.
Ohhh pretty!!! Love this idea 🎀
I used washi tape in my school library to color code the nonfiction shelves according to the Dewey decimal system.
Ohhh how fun! I bet it made it easier for the kids too.

So many of us collected Washi and like you say, why not, it was all so inexpensive.
Where can I find the washi tape storage case?
Hey lovely, they have it here: shrsl.com/46do9
I am guilty of buying 300 washi tapes and I don't know what to do with them😂😂

Me. I just liked the patterns. I was theoretically gonna cover cans and boxes, and I did, but I have waaaaay more washi than I have need for
Yep.... and I know you're not alone@@Ichyt So so many of us have huge collections that we are now working though. 💗
✋🏼Guilty!
Yep... there are plenty of us 🫣@@jodistephens5917
My tapes always fall off, always 🤣 things are pretty but only for one day 🤣
oh no really??? You could glue them down, I've heard people do that. I do also like to add stitching through mine, that will also lock them down.
I am not sure how to use them
You now have a bunch of ideas 🌸 I hope this video helped.

At is too costly for me!
I'm thinking you mean the storage, yes it can add up. The most inexpensive way I've found to store a bunch of washi is on these - amzn.to/4cpofQS
