    Small correction the (BP-ZE) is an 1.8 and not a 1.6, sorry for the mistake 😅

    All the gauge’s design are basically identical until NC

    0:06 good shift

    Why did they replace the oil pressure gauge with a fake for the NB (then reintroduced on the NC)?

    • @TransformHypnosis
      @TransformHypnosis 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Too many people thought there was something wrong because it was changing with acceleration

    • @mnap89
      @mnap89 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      NC still have fake oil pressure gauge. its just mimics behaviour of real pressure gauge.

      @mtheoverlord7840 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I wouldn't say it's a "fake". A lot of cars of the 90s had a "dummy gauge" of sorts. Basically instead of actually showing your true oil pressure, it just shows whether or not you have pressure or not. Had an old F-150 that worked the same way

    No mazdaspeed Miata?

    0:50 the information in this is wrong. It's the European derived BP6D 1.8 with VVT. I know this becuase this is my car and my video lmao

      I'm sorry for my mistake that was my second time i was making yhis type of video and, i made some errors in it.
      is this the version that got around 150hp and only available in Japan, UK and Australia or is it an another version ?

      @@xfast2a584 They hover around 147-152 depending on which market it was with minimal differences. Mine also being the facelift car in the video was from 2002 so a mk 2.5 and not a 2

    I wonder when the NE will come out. The ND has been rolling out the factory for 9 years now.

      Apparently, from what I have seen, the Mx5 NE is planned to be released in 2026, but unfortunately it will be an electric car 😔.

      I expect that one is around the same as the NC 2.0L Miata. 7.x seconds

    so the ND lost 10+ MPG for 0.8 sec faster to 60 mph and blown up trans. great decision Mazda

    • @hesersu
      @hesersu 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      The 2.0l has 5.8 seconds to 100 and the blown up trans is not a problem since ND2. Don't be so dramatic!

      @DessikaModus 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hesersu I'd rather have 45 mpg and a single mass flywheel. ND2 does still have trans issues for those who track. Late ND2 and ND3 have synchros issues

      The ND is just a better car than the NC it might have some issues it's not a perfect car but it's definitely a better car than the NC

      @@AA-hj1rb 1.5L ND is the better Miata. The heavier 2.0L is the better ND sports car. However, the NC is the better overall sports car. Better suspension geometry, chassis, and more robust for track abuse

      @@DessikaModus heavier, i have the 2.0 184hp i drove them both, i saw the specs on paper, the difference in Weight is 22kg. And for daily drive, work>home the 2.0 is a good cruiser, even when you drive in 6t gear on the highway you notice the difference between the 1.5 and 2.0 the torque, with the 1.5 you do an downshift to 5t otherwise ther is nothing in there, the torq figure is also different, with the 2.0 the max torq is available from 4000rpm and with the 1.5 on 4800rpm. That is why the 2.0 is the better cruiser.

  • @ThePirouliette
    @ThePirouliette 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Interesting but to be honest it's useless because all these engines are 100% NA and it looks like that these tests were made outdoors (no dyno test). Therefore tires are implied in performance, temperature too (some tests were probably made at nighttime).
    I drive a NB 1.8L, semi slick A052 tires on, and I assure you that last month when services were done (new plugs, new oil and so on), and temperatures were low (5-10 °C), it drove much swifter than usual.

    • @konradoo10
      @konradoo10 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I guess, these yokohamas won't help you in low temperatures

    • @ThePirouliette
      @ThePirouliette 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@konradoo10 It depends on what you mean by low temperatures : Freezing cold ?
      In this case I switch on winter tires from Vredestein.
      Chilling morning (5-10 °c) these Yoko do a great job because rubber type is softer than conventional road tires (Medium Hard), therefore they warm up pretty quick, and the grip is accurate, though when road is getting hot (over than 30°c) they burn awfully fast.
