It's crazy how good BC Racing is at marketing such a low end budget coilover. When I see a car with $3000 seats sitting on $1000 coilovers, I'm left scratching my head.

If you just want cheap and you want to adjust the height of your car they’re fine but if you want a smoother ride or more performance then there are better options (at a higher price of course). They do some higher end stuff but it’s still not better than higher end stuff of other brands. That’s just based on maybe a dozen different suspensions I’ve personally experienced. I’ve not tried all BC options or all the other options out there.
If you choose the right spring setup for your Car the cheapest bc Coilovers work very well! Dont mess an good workin suspension at his price!!! Thats dumb!

Even in a car with "only" 230 horsepower, he passes BMW's and at one point.....I think I saw him pass a McLauren. Maybe a 675 LT. Maybe a 720s. He skated by it like he was on an Olympic ice ring. You are superman sir....even though you don't wear a cape.
Like others have said the owner's facial expressions we're great. Like when you'd go faster a corner would she probably wouldn't go that fast you could tell he was like oh wow this is cool. You should make it mandatory to clean the windshield before each run because looking through all those bugs I know I might be nitpicking but I'm just saying great video Misha look forward to everyone you put out.

yes. I think he has talked about it in the past in some videos. But for me personally this is the main reason why I will probably never drive on the ring, to scared of the unlucky situations which could occur and bankrupt you
It was antifreeze. During public trackday Nordschleife is considered as a public road. So police visits the accidents and the owner (who spilled the liquid) is responsible for the total damage. But if the car has registration in Germany he may walk away of this thing. Because German insurance may cover it (again:public road )
@@PaulHojda Because you're supposed to actually 'pick it up' with an absorbent material. Those absorbents are expensive and depending on how long and wide of a coolant spill (which can go for kilometers if you're overheating and don't realize it), it can cost quite a lot to shut down a public road, bring in a team/company to spread the absorbent, scrub it into the surface, then collect it all up.
I love how NCs are becoming more popular now, despite their reputation of being "big" and "heavy" which isn't true at all. It's only slightly bigger and heavier than the other generations of Miatas, and it's still way lighter than most 2-seater sports cars out there, even if it's not fast in stock form. It's such a fun car to drive, regardless of the speed you're going.
I love a good supercharged NC! Nothing suits that engine and chassis quite like a centrif... ... ROOTS?! You monster! Also, I've done enough aero studying on NCs to say pretty confidently that the hood vents are probably flowing backward, making cooling and lift worse. There is a very large and very high pressure zone in front of the windshield on these cars. Ideal hood vent placement is about half a meter farther forward, near the front of the hood bulge. That placement significantly increases cooling and reduces lift at speed.
Fun Fact: (Based on accurate power to weight data and shifting time) 300bhp in a Miata will be faster than a 2022 Chevy Camaro SS which is the quickest NA muscle car. Just behind the 2024 Mustang Dark Horse with a 12.4 quarter mile time. and the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo also with a 12.4 quarter mile. Or a 2024 Toyota Supra GR with a 12.1 quarter mile.

If people behind are crashing because of his spill, he can be held responsible. :/ There have been a story like this with a UK car back in the days, but with oil if I remember. Lots of crash behind. Damages were in this ballpoint. Since then most UK insurance, if not all, don't cover you if you're driving on a "one way paytoll autobahn", to not name the Nordschleife. Now I feel you, he was maybe exagerating (but can happen :/) You can find more details about this story in Misha's videos.

It can go wrong very fast with oilspils etc. Not often luckily but yeah like you said, most likely almost no insurance will cover that kind of damage in almost any country.
Most probably they had to close the track, and for every hour that remain closed is a 1500€ fine + workers and consumables. If the spill is kilometers long you can immagine the work needed...
It sounded like it had some pretty significant knock/ping at the start of the lap between 5 and 6k rpm at wide open throttle, it must have pulled some timing on its own to stop it. I would however run it on some spicier fuel if you want to keep the aggressive tune from melting shit.
Mazda needs to make more sport oriented cars. The Miata is one of the best sports cars ever made, why not expand on that strength and make bmw competitors. Come to think of it, maybe that’s what they are planning with their new longitudinal rear wheel drive (biased) suvs.

This seems like a sweet spot for an NC. Mine is plenty of fun with stock 160bhp but another 60 or 70 definitely wouldn't go astray

those are actually stock seats, a very rare set mind you but still stock, owner probs got the car cos of the seats.
Supercharger kits for the MX-5 have obviously come a long way in the last 20 years. That's a really tidy install.
