I have a '14 Apollo 250RX it has a Honda clone motor (Ole tech 4-stroke..not a bad thing think XR lineup of 80s/90s) its held up very well. The rear shock is garbage but easy to swap w/Bronco shock for good price. Run premium unleaded & semi-synthetic 10w40 oil it will run a long time! Carb swap recommended too. Thats it! $2200 delivered to your door. -Ohio

the engine is a Honda CG clone, the original cg is 125cc, but this one has more stroke and bore than the original also the original doesnt have a electric starter.

5:30 rev-match my guy, rev-match. "Engine breaking" is not the same as slipping/grinding the synchros and clutch. It's purely the vacuum from a shut throttle.
Listen to Mr Piston guys. Bleep the throttle with every downshift!!!! Practice super smooth downshifts.
They all bog like that from the start to pass emissions easily. It's not that the carbs are crap(although their not the greatest), you just have put in the correct jetting and then your gtg.

This is better than most bike reviews on you tube-the upsides / downside are all covered. There's no point in saying it's doesn't compare to a KTM, CRF etc, it's built for trail riding, not for much else really. What would you expect when they cost one fifth of the price?

bogging is always drivers fault. you need to adjust air-fuel screw to more tight
You know it!! It's either the air/fuel mix or going to slow in a higher gear.
It's probably bumpy because it's brand new tires and you got them all the way filled up
spokes on the rims need to be retighted a few times and if not retighted properly it will keep wobbly or ruff ride ...

Do not take the air out of the tires let them wear out themselves you can take a little out of the back if you want wheelie right away it helps

Great for beginners. The biggest difference between to big 4 (Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Susuki) is the Apollo 250 is about 15 HP, the big 4 250's are about 30 HP.
Im pretty new to dirtbikes but how steep of a hill do you think this could go up?

As far as power, is about what you'd find on an '80s or early '90s 250. Not terrible, just not what the newer 250s pack.
The Honda crf250f 250 only has 19 horsepower

Man I had a ssr 250 starting off and I though it was good but then I got name brand bikes and never going back to Chinese 😂
If you have never rode dirt I would recommend this bike. First you don't know whether you will like dirt riding and less than 2 grand is a lot better than 10 grand sitting in your garage. Second you will crash and damaging a 2 grand bike is better that damaging a 10 grand bike. I rode lots of dirt in my life and at 68 I own an Apollo. It's a good bike, maybe not as quick as some of the bikes I've been on, but it has enough power to get you into trouble. So if your thinking about riding on dirt, I would recommend them to start out with. And one more thing. If you are afraid of a scrapped elbow or knee, don't ride dirt. It's embarrassing to see a grown man cry.

I don’t think any professional would recommend a brand new 250 for a new rider. For 1600 you could get a great condition used bike. Also, why even put 2 people on a 125’pit bike?

Im thinking about getting this one but the street legal version. I want something that is street legal, but also good offroad. Im 6'6 and 200 lbs. Would this be a good match?
No, your height and weight is a little too much, a guy your size will need the wonderful race tech set up for you, if you hit a pothole or a jump the suspension it will bottom out, it chinese...its not to great quality wise. Also theres no parts out there if you broke it, it would just sit in the back of the shop and collect dust. Power wise its great for beginners, its a 250cc aircooled engine, but as a mx rider I look down upon this engine. Tldr, buy a japanese/european dualsport bike used.

I can tell how it's shaking and it's fairly brand-new the spokes are loosening up on the rims spokes in the rim need to be tightened three or four times and then they'll be fine the little shaking more go away

I've done 40 miles on the highway before, never got stopped. I also didn't have a license plate though
@LyfeSaver 911 when ur on a dirtbike, you dont stop. Especially without a license plate. Without a license plate, they cant track you if you escape. When there are lots of trails around, I just escape down a trail
if u want a dirt bike so bad then buy one and if its to bumpy than stand up also lower ur clutch lever and i recommend a 200cc or lower since ur new.

You can whellie with a Apollo 250cc but it is very hard.
Here is 5 reasons:
-You want to change the spark plug, wheel bearings, tires on a brand new bike
- You love taking a new bike apart and applying loctite to all the fasteners
- You want a bike that is horribly uncomfortable to ride. Suspension is for suckers, real men use pogo sticks
- You want a bike with 1980’s technology.
- You absolutely hate resale value. You want a bike that isn’t worth a case of beer in 10 years

I had one of those apollo 250cc back in 2012 but with red plastics. They are slow, and heavy. The weight to Hp ratio is bad.
They are fun at first, but you quickly get bored. First, the rear sprocket is too small. Like waaaaay to small.
It's a dirtbike, not a streetbike. It should have a bigger rear sprocket. Second, the way it handles is almost like a big enduro 4 stroke. Like im talking about Suzuki Dr500 or 600cc.
It feels that heavy.
It also feels stiff, like somethings wrong almost.
Third.. theres no spare parts. Nowhere. Good luck finding it.

Does your bike feel stiff , mine was riding rough , so I let some air out of the shock and it definitely made a difference . Now I’ll adjust it to fit the way I ride ✌🏻 I bought mine second hand and I gotta say i put it in some mud & water and it’s never let me down

Fawk that get a used RM, YZ, CR 250 2012 for $1600 to $1900 Find them all day long outclass this bike 10 to 1 and they will only need plastics to look new again and they run forever. Don't buy this junk 😂 They are great for an Electric conversion though :)

Nah man, Apollo’s are meant for hard rock riding and amazing mudding’. Ngl, it could use some after market parts like exhaust, but other than that amazing price for what you get
