Just got the Apollo 250 and I love it! Fits a 6'4", 210 pound man, the electric start is great, and you can't get a better deal for the price. Good power though it does stall in first fairly easily so keep you hand on the clutch!
When you're getting a 250cc chinese dirtbike/pitbike. Dont go for the big one with 18 and 21 wheels. Go for the slightly smaller with like 14- 17 or 16 -19 wheels. Why? Because they will feel faster and stronger when you pull the throttle. Trust me. The OHC 250cc engine has about 18 horsepower, if you have one with a pushrod engine you have about 17hp. And when you put it on a chassi that weight about 110kg like in the video here.. yeah you get the idea. It's gonna be frieking slow. Sure you get more topspeed in the end, but what fun would that be when the bike pulls like crap and it feels more like a heavy streetbike? You cant pull wheelies with it, you cant slide or drift easily on gravel. It's just.. go faster in a straight line. Im dead serious i had one, so i know. With a smaller 250cc dirtbike/pitbike you will have more fun. Trust me. Sure it feels smaller but the power to weight ratio is more balanced now. You can do wheelies, slides and drift now. Cheers.
With a carb swap and a performance air filter and the proper jetting along with a fmf bolt on exhaust and a larger rear sprocket will make the bike 40000x better
Thanks for the vid comparison....this helped me a lot. I was at a dealer and rode the 250 but they were out of 125's so I was curious. Side note....the seat on the 250 is hard as a rock!!!
Have you considered installing rim locks? That would have saved your tube. Safe to run below 20psi. Most dirt bike riders seem to run 8-14psi for grip. FYI.
Where did you buy the Apollo from. I saw the vid where you inboxed it. Also, are there different options on the size of the wheels. I’m 14, 5’1 and want to get a bike to just ride around the neighborhood with my friends
Yeah I couldn’t reach my feet I’m OK except 250 if I can get one to be towed down I’m right under 56 with shoes on 56 boots and 57 with riding boots I can get two toes down and that’s how I would ride and race it I needed starting blocks
the reason you can't wheelie on the 250 isn't just torque, the 125 is a lot lighter, geared shorter (more torque when you have shorter ratios), and shorter wheelbase. the 250 is also a very beefy girl at 287 Lbs. and don't take this as hate I'm just sayin. I've got a china 125 and the Apollo 250 and I can agree they both have their weaknesses and strengths over each other
I'm interested in purchasing the 125cc as I am new to biking and I've watched alot of your videos and saw u swap out parts but are parts easily available?

I'm wondering the same thing, I'm between the Apollo and the Tao Tao. Both of which are 125CC. I also wonder do these need premixed fuel? (Oil and gas)
Ok so I’ve been trying to figure out if it can wheelie. People are saying yes but I’m talking about bikelife, middle of the city long wheelies with brake control and stuff
Just a few tips. Slime doesn't work on inner tubes, only tubeless tires. Invest in a Rim lock to prevent rear flats. What happens is the rim can slide inside the tire itself from all the torque. Get a couple tire irons and change flats yourself and keep spare inner tubes so you're not left out on the dirt. Okay Vid, thumbs up still. o7

Bro Is Hard To Learn How To Ride A Pit Bike ? , Is There Any Fully Automatic Gas Dirt Bikes ?
It's not hard. Clutch is easy to get used to. I recommend a yamaha ttr90 if you dont want clutch. It's a 3 speed with no clutch. Easiest lil bike to ride and has tons of cheap options to jack it up for taller people. I've had mine over 10 years and hasn't given me any issues.
