I had a few Chinese bikes..and alot of other brands Honda ,suziki,kawi,Yama,ktm,husky etc ...on those x18s you will need to change the rear sprocket bolts for longers ones that go through the hub so you can put locking nuts on to them if you fail to listen your rear sprocket will surely come of I had it had lots of times to people that have brought me cracked engine cases from the chain coming of because the bolts fall out the hub .. so change those for longer ones... Keep up with oil , valve adjustments , and don't drop the bike as much the tank on these bikes are very thin steel that like to brake at the mounting tabs ... The hubs are very weak on the Chinese bikes also so don't hit big jumps .... Also use the clutch to shift .. your eating the transmission when you shift without disengaging the main shaft

Most don't realize you can change the gearing to get it to keep up with traffic. Is it worth a crazy gear change not really unless you've swapped cams valve springs and carb. A small change in gearing would help.

My ORION RXB is 150cc and it does fine on public roads I cruise at 60mph easy and have got up to 80mph riding with the wind A 125cc dirtbike is ok for street but not for road with limits of 60mph and up because I giving it all you got at 50-55mph.👌cool video ✌

Go with a larger front sprocket +1 or 2 or grab a smaller rear sprocket by 2, 4 teeth. Depending on the type of riding, trail slow or trail fast, will dictate what is best for the speed and torque you need.
I got a 2019 Apollo 250 RX on an off-road blinkers speedometer everything.. my father's sense right around 2019 my son owned it first I bought it from my son and we've both ride it pretty hard.. my son was doing repeated smoke shows with it holding the front brake LOL... I bought it from him I haven't done anything to it besides Tinker with the carburetor an adjust the rear end.. but it's 2025 and I'm still riding it every summer I've got up to 78 mph downhill on it wide open normally wide open it reaches approximately 68 mph sometimes LOL.. flat ground about 68 mph... setting up a nice carburetor on it and it needs longer Gering... the bike can definitely handle and has the power enough for a longer gear.. so I'm going to get some sprockets and see if I can't tap the 80/90 mph
I have the Dbx-1. Bought it for my girlfriend to learn on and I just put two parts on it that turned it into a completely different powerful bike. Hit me up if you want to know what I did it could be a good video.
I put a 26mm nibbi racing carb on it with a 48mm cold air intake filter and a tc motor t4 racing exhaust. All parts are available on Amazon you will need a intake flange adapter to go from the intake to the carb. The flange bore can be 26mm-33mm and the flange bolt hole will have to be 48mm wide to line up correctly. The exhaust just slips on over the head pipe.

If you do proper maintenance those bikes will last a long time. You could drop new a new motor in the hike like 4 times before it costs what a Japanese bike does.
I will swap a ds80 1997 for the 140cc or the apollo 125cc but the ds80 1997 has no back brake and the exhaust needs to be put on if your in to it I'm from new Zealand and my Instagram is bigbrain1mliq1
