Corgi restoration of Volvo 760 No. C435. Diecast model toy.

The Meetoy company made the Volvo 760 in 1986. It was already a time when all the companies producing cast models cheated savings. In the video, you can turn on subtitles in your language with a commentary on the action. Therefore, this model received a plastic chassis and a unified box, used for all Corgi models in this scale. The Volvo 760 was built on a scale of 1: 36. Despite the savings, this model is very well equipped. The doors and tailgate open, and the cockpit and engine compartment are very well equipped. My model was badly damaged, had a broken windshield and was missing a rear lamp. I made the rear lamps from ultraviolet cured resin. I also changed the painting from light blue to strong red. The Volvo 760 Corgi was also available in this color. The manufacturer, in order to make the sale of this model more attractive, later added a caravan to it. W latach 80tych dostałem od Taty resorówkę Matchboxa - Volvo 760. Obiecałem sobie wtedy, że będę miał takie auto kiedy dorosnę. Kilka lat udało mi się kupić 740 Turbo, w bardzo dobrym stanie i mam je zarejestrowane jako zabytek. Oczywiście resorówka od Taty również jest ze mną :) . Pozdrawiam serdecznie!

Sehr gute Restaurierung. Top Arbeit an der Karosserie, Fensterscheiben und den Rädern. Auch der Innenraum sieht super aus.

I had one of these but it was a Matchbox Model & could probably do with a restoration itself ( the wheels are a bit stiff on mine ). Also I fondly remember that old Corgi Toy Packaging of the late 80's & very early 90's with the Pop Art Style Patterns. Cool retro.

7 years ago, I decided I had had enough of all the things you just mentioned, and decided once and for all to go back. I bought a 1991 Honda Civic Si, and started learning how to do my own work on it. Cable actuated throttle. Only 1 small computer for the fuel injection. Real needles on the analogue dials. Double wishbone suspension. No screen on the dash. Excellent visibility all around me. I couldn't be happier...except that it is vulnerable to rust, so I don't drive it in the winter.
For that, I bought a 1992 Lexus SC400, and that is an amazing car too. And it's still 90s tech, so I can work on it myself.
Sorry to nerd out on you like this. I'm passionate about cars...old cars, that is. haha

As a fellow cat owner, I noticed the exact moment you gave up hope the cat would stop meowing.
My parents had a Volvo from this era. This could be it! Did you just make the front of the windshield to save on silicone? I can’t imagine trying to keep all those molds from everything you’ve done organized.

It is true, so the intrusive cat disturbed me at some point I had to choose a smaller evil and continue recording. When it comes to silicone form, I keep these forms because in some forms I have already made 60 castings and they are still functional. I made only the front part from the foil, because the thermal pressing method does not reflect the glass components as accurately as the resin cast and the rest of the glass was in very good condition, so I only replaced the cracked one. Bardzo fajna renowacja. Fajnie ze mozna zobaczyć jak w domowych warunkach zrobić szybę do takiego modelika. Ciekawe jaki miałbyś pomysł na wykonanie brakujących drzwi do takiego samochodzika. Nie ukrywam że w kilku moich brakuje drzwi, nie mam z czego zrobić kopii. Pozdrawiam

kopiowanie drzwi to jest dość trudna sprawa ponieważ z reguły drzwi są otwierane a żywica nie zawsze spełnia należytą wytrzymałość przy otwieraniu . można to zrobić ale jest to bardzo pracochłonny etap. kiedyś wykonywałem to w ten sposób że zakleiłem od wewnątrz powierzchnię taśmą malarską I wypełniłem żywicą otwór drzwi a następnie po wyschnięciu ją modelowaniem wiadomo że taka metoda nie odzwierciedla wszystkich niuansów na przykład klamka linie nadwozia, ale zawsze jest to jakieś wyjście
