Hey as someone who was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 20 -I am in my mid thirties now, I think it is awesome that you made this video really helpful and well researched- and the first half is super educational and simple to understand. I have fallen off the wagon now - and starting to get fit again for the 204858th time. It is super hard and a little demotivating to have a sluggish metabolism - but I guess its important to NOT focus on the scale. Also thanks for the positive reinforcement in the end that we didnt 'cause' this - its easy to forget and get negative and harsh on yourself. in terms of percentage of protein - or macros - what do you suggest? and should we do 5 small meals to keep metabolism up or stick to eating 3 meals...people have mixed opinions abt that.

Great video and a good initiative towards PCOS! I agree with everything covered in the video. Right from the correct knowledge of ones health and nutrition and how to overcome obesity. However, as a doctor myself the one thing id like to suggest is merely saying doctors will pop pills in your prescriptions is not correct. There are different forms and grades of severity of PCOS. Women can have multiple issues like diabetes, htn, thyroid problems along with pcos, which is usually the case. Telling people not to listen to the doc isn't going to help. You need medical consultantation, you need evaluation to figure out how good or bad your health is. I agree pills will never work single handedly if not combined with lifestyle change. Thats the way to go! So please, dont underestimate your doctors care. Cheers! :)

Now a guy is gonna teach me how my body functions!!! But the information you gave was pretty spot on. Completely right about "Ghar Ka Khana". Finally!! Someone addressed the elephant in the room!!!
Oh my god I haven't seen anyone educating that good about pcod. Dude. You are doing an awesome work. Please keep up the work and make more videos on women's health.
I don't think even a girl could have explained it better than you. This makes so much sense to me because I was diagnosed with PCOS years ago. Thank you so much. 😊
Just yesterday I diagnosed with PCOS and I'm really afraid...... Doctor sugges me contraseptiv pills and PCOS manage pills..... I'm confused about what should I do? Should I take the medicines or only rely on the natural way.....please reply.... I'm 19 years old ....and am really afraid.....Am I gonna die for this anyhow?
As a Healthcare professional I am rather happy someone has taken the time to go past just the signs and symptoms and addressed the actual hormones and events that are occurring to cause these S/S. I do have PCOS and have managed it well. i workout out like a Beast and did sports. It can also be about your genetics like in my case. If you have any Autoimmune issue in your family or Diabetes your chances of developing PCOS increases greatly. One thing I do disagree with is sometimes surgery and medicine is a needed intervention if your case of PCOS is bad enough until you are stabilized. Then you can tx with just diet and exercise. I Started following you because of the science based approach! Also, really like the nutritional advice with specifics you give in other videos as well. I share this info with family and my Patients. Good job!
U hv uploaded this video in 2016 n I'm watching this in 2018.. Phle q nehi dikhi yeah video... I simply liked the fact a male talking about female prbs so seriously. A gv thumbs up 4 u
Thank you Ranveer for this great educational video on PCOS. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2012 when I was 22. Now, I am 32. I would like to correct just one thing. Never exert the body when you have PCOS coz it increases cortisol (stress hormones) levels in the body. I have been working out since 10 years. I have done crossfit, HIIT, Orange Theory, F45, Planet fitness. I have done cross body, HIIT, treadmill, elliptical, rowing, weightlifting, excessive weight training, burpees, sprint running and so many other extensive training exercises. My cortisol (it’s a kind of steroid in body) is extremely high. I came to visit India a month ago and have had full body checkups including Neurologist, Gynecologist, Dermatologist, General Physician, Optometrist (for my lasik that happened in 2013 and now my eyesight is bad again), every single doctor told me that my CORTISOL is above the roof. They all told me to stop all kind of extensive exercise and told me to do only walking and slow paced strength training. Please, women with PCOS, never opt for extensive physical training. It’s not designed for our bodies. You will lose weight (slowly) but your body will go in survival mode coz of high cortisol and high recovery times. And this will make your weight loss more difficult. So, do low intensity exercises and weight training. Take care everyone! Stay healthier always!
Each word u have said make a big difference. I have been living with PCOS since 2011 when i was teenager and from last 3 years i have changed my habits nd it's all makes great sense what u say.i had waited so long to educate myself about this nd i think this is the perfect thing which every pcos survivor needs to hear.god bless u
Thanks to your channel that sugar doesn't make me happy anymore, working out does! I have been away from all forms of sugar for three months now and I have lost 9kg in the process. I am planning on losing another 11 kg. I have lost weight with PCOS so anyone can!
Hey Ranveer, Thank you for making this video. I've been following you from past few weeks.. I m not somebody who comments on videos, but this time i couldnt stop myself. Thank you for motivating us. Thank you for doing this. Thank you for talking on such issues. You're doing so great. Wish you all the success in life and more power to you. Thank you. :)
waw... we need more guys like you in this world... I loved the way of positive talk... I had PCOD and undergone laparoscopic ovarian cyst surgery... These cysts grow fast even with Sugar and Dairy products... It can become canerous too if we didnt cure it in the early stage... Its very necessary for girls to know about it...If not treated in the initial stage It can be spreaded to cervix and uterus... take care girls...
thank you so much Ranveer! This was really helpful to me since I was getting a lot depressed lately due to the hormonal imbalances. Well u conveyed so much positivity through this video. Thanks so much!
This video is one of the most informative piece of information in india about PCOS, even doctors have half of the knowledge about PCOS. I am suffering from PCOS from past 5 years and I've tried almost everything except for eating clean, and nothing helped me instead, it only had worsen my situation. I gained almost 25-27kgs in last 3 years, which is maybe the worst thing which can happen to a 19 year old human body. Thank you so much for this Ranveer. More success and love to you.
Superb knowledge!!! PCOD is not limited to girls it's also affecting women in their thirties too..i hope when you talk about women you mean women of all age groups who are possibly having such issues.
The thing you said about indian families have no correct knowledge about fitness and diet is so true. I'm going through your bb40 challenge by quitting sugar for 40 days everyone around me is like 'omg, you'll have sugar deficiency and blah blah. Even the one who have studied chemistry have no knowledge that added sugar plays no role in maintaining sugar in body. Well I didnt know I could live without sugar. its my 13th day and now I dont crave for it. Even sweets don't tempt me as they used to. 😁
IV been searching for a perfect video who explains about pcod...there are so many videos out there but everything is just bla bla n bla. Thank God u made this.. amazing!! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this video. To hear someone say "your condition is a result of the society you live in, it's not your fault. The first step is to educate yourself" 😭😭🙏🏽 Thank you!! I've suffered so much with this condition and I'm slowly learning how I can take control of it and not let it control my life any more. Doctors generally are very dismissive of the symptoms that we deal with, here in the UK anyway. We are offered contraceptive pills and that's all. It's empowering to hear this information, for us to take proper control of this condition without big pharma. Much appreciated! Thanks, from London, UK
thanks Bhayya before few minutes I used to don't know what is PCOS. and I have never heard the word before after watching your vedio I realise that 'I am a person who is also having PCOS. thanks Bhayya
Hi it's amazing to see a guy talking about female issues. I have seen many videos but u gave it very clearly and I appreciate your hard work to educate girls. Even I am suffering from one of these issues. To tell my problem in short my periods have been stopped when I did my pcod test my fsh and lh values are very high and insulin levels are also a bit high. But in scan there were no cysts as such. I don't know whether I have pcod or pcos. Doctors have said that ur ovaries stopped functioning..used pills but no use..
I like all your videos because unlike other TH-camrs you never stress viewers to like or subscribe your channel rather than you aim to connect the viewers in a way that they receive as well as understand you! You emphasize on explaining for good! That's really great!
My doctor couldn't explain all this in 7 years which you have in these 25 minutes that too in a very subtle way. All they say is lose weight, change your lifestyle but they don't tell how. I thank you for explaining it so well :)
ranbeer you expained it so easily rather than any videos on youtube about pcod. you are the one expain really very wel in a very positve way that nothing wrong with us. even as a male you understand this problem ad address it really well with diet workout regime. i was so criticising mysef for pcod but now not. its just wake up call and learing you change my perspective thank you ranbeer
Thanku so much for lot of knowledge about the pcos.. I was really disappointed today n crying just to know that what wrong i have done n why these things are happening.. Ur video was so inspirational for me.. I ll definately come out of this issue in my body..
Brilliant!👍 I Have Just Defeated Pcos due to a somewhat good diet and Gyming! I've been having regular Periods for 6months straight! And It makes me feel So happy! Amazing Video! ♥
your awesome!! i have nothing against a man loving women enough to help them learn more about how awesome we are!! keep you're up movement!! thank you for loving us and what you do to have the courage to speak about and educate us!!
God bless you Ranveer.. The first and only TH-camr to tell us women that it's not your fault.. I came across your video a few days ago and it really encouraged me to start my weight loss journey and battle with PCOS. We need more people who a have highly intellectual and empathetic thinking like him... I literally cried when a Dr. Told me obesity leads to PCOS and PCOS leads to infertility... To a certain extent it may be true but there's a way to say it and hats off to you ranveer to discuss such an issue with such ease and keeping sentiments in mind. May your channels soar to the greatest heights of success...
I just started watching this video and you said many girls would not like this...how could they ? I'm suffering from pcod and i loved when i saw this video in my recommendations. I just paused the moment and came here to white the comment. More power to you, more love to you, more strength to you. Thankyou and keep it up. God bless you 😇🙏❣️
Thanks a lot. This is the best video ever for accurate knowledge on PCOS. So very helpful for lot of girls like myself. I can’t express my gratitude enough. You have done a great job. God bless you.
I really appreciated the video and it was very helpful, I do however just wanted to say that in the video you say that the cause of PCOS is unknown, and yet you seem to focus on diet and unhealthy life choices as being what causes PCOS, the contradiction is a little disheartening and makes the "it's not your fault" seem less applicable. Although I do know that enhanced lifestyle choices are definitely something that could improve PCOS, so thank you for shedding light on that.
I am a girl from Kolkata, and I am a Martial artists practicing for more than 10 years., Now even teaching. I eat lot of veggies and good amount of carb and proteins. Still have PCOS. Don't even know why. XD. It's just that we go out to eat at a restraunt may be once in a month.
With pcod 9 months full focus on exercise, meditation, diet ...then 12kgs weightloss then got healthy pregnancy, beautiful normal delivery. After 5 years of marriage blessed baby boy. I posted all my tips and experience in blog please see in dp
I had PCOS and was diagnosed when i was a teenager at the age of 15. I was a overweight child till 18 due to PCOS. When i realised at the age of 18-19, i started exercising and went to gym and lost 20 KG. My PCOS is gone.I did not have excessive hair growth even while PCOS. The growth was pretty normal ,still whatever was there also reduced . Since then i am regularly working out for the last 7 years.Over the years, hair growth reduced even more.I don’t know how because PCOS went away long back. Many females dont even know what is PCOS. Even i tried to make my friends aware about it and how it can be cured. But i realised, many females even the adults 20-25 years of age do not take it seriously.
I usually do not comment, But Ranveer you deserve a Huge Round of Applause for this one! Thank you from all those girs who suffer from PCOS. This is the best video on PCOS s far!
Well it's 2017 now! Loved all your videos and am wondering how did I miss these for so long. They are scientific, well researched, motivational and at the same time come with real tips that work! Great work! Also good to see a guy talk about female issues. Sugar is a biggest enemy. I realised this when I did a 7 day no sugar challenge but didn't follow it up well. Gonna start that again now. Thanks for all the videos. They are amazing
Very nice talk. There is another way to treat it called holistic healing. With acupressure and meditation it can be treated. I am a mother and a student of ASPEUS prayagraj. It teaches all about health in your hands.🙏🏻
I really love you. Had tears in my eyes watching this video. Please educate more guys and parents about this issue as they should not look at women as if it is their fault, or as if they eat too much, or plainly reject them, ostracize them. Men in our country hesitate in talking about periods itself, its realllly diffucult opening up to them about what ur body and mind is going through because of this condition and women already face too much pressure inside to look beautiful, be slim and curvy etc, but pcod plays a cruel game with u on all these aspects, and than when males look at u with a befuddled expression when u open about this it just adds so much to your misery. I think the way we educate boys about periods we should educate them about PCOD as well and let it not be a taboo anymore. 😊😇

You are great Ranveer , you won my heart seriously.. you have given me the strength to deal with PCOS, you made me brave.. thanks
I am gonna be completely honest. When you started talking about Fallopian tubes and stuff... And the way you were explaining them was... I was like OK!!
Wow it's 2020 and still guys are reluctant to talk about ovaries, periods, or PCOS. This man is way ahead of his times 💯❤️
Thank you so much, Ranveer. I had PCOD over a year and a half, I started working out and got rid of it. Thank you so much for educating others.
I also have 😢 but I'm not overweight 😞
Hey Ranveer,
Thank you for making this video.
More success and love to you.
so far the best education on PCOS I've gotten has been from well educated men like you.
only thing I miss is coffee. Do you have any hack or substitute for it? Are sugarfree sweetner drops are fine If i take it with coffee once a week?
Pranita Soni yes u can take sugarfree but once in a while its ol
Pranita Soni is it .I get lot of sugar cravings as I am nt getting my periods
widisha agarwalla It is advisable to take once in a while. Regular use is harmful
Okay .thnq
when you said it's normal,it gave me relief.Thank you so much 😊😊
IV been searching for a perfect video who explains about pcod...there are so many videos out there but everything is just bla bla n bla.
Thanks, from London, UK
kudos to u man...appreciate ur efforts to understand female issues in depth and explaining it so well...u really stand out in Indian fitness arena...
How could be anyone so intelligent???....m amazed....!!
thanks Bhayya
before few minutes I used to don't know what is PCOS. and I have never heard the word before
after watching your vedio I realise that 'I am a person who is also having PCOS.
thanks Bhayya
Really appreciate what you're doing for us! Could you make a video on asthmatic symptoms, causes and treatment? pleaseeee!!
And I regret that I missed this video for all this while! Bang on. Will definitely try it
🙏🏼 my dtr is suffering frm pcos n ur video is informative it's 👍🏼 so continue wt ur doing GOD bless u...

i am suffering from PCOS and this was really helpful thank you so much for educating women..
wow such a nice video. recently my daughter got this. she is addicted to coke and i am going to share this with her so that it helps her.
I don't put even a small particle of sugar inside my system in ANY form and I am always happy. Thank you very much!
I can't live without sugar and I'm not even fat
Im a women who is listening to you . And I totally agree to you . I love all your videos. Thank you 😊
ranbeer you expained it so easily rather than any videos on youtube about pcod. you are the one expain really very wel in a very positve way that nothing wrong with us. even as a male you understand this problem ad address it really well with diet workout regime. i was so criticising mysef for pcod but now not. its just wake up call and learing you change my perspective thank you ranbeer
Thanku so much for lot of knowledge about the pcos.. I was really disappointed today n crying just to know that what wrong i have done n why these things are happening.. Ur video was so inspirational for me.. I ll definately come out of this issue in my body..

your awesome!! i have nothing against a man loving women enough to help them learn more about how awesome we are!!
keep you're up movement!!
thank you for loving us and what you do to have the courage to speak about and educate us!!
Today I came to know about my polycystic ovary...and I am watching this video...very inspirational..thank u so much❤
I have PCOS and I want to say THANK YOU for your videos about this issue!

Tonnes of thanks to you man!!!🎈🎈 You are doing a great job. Bless you
An amazing video, thank you Ranveer. Many girls are going into depression cos of PCOS. Thanks again for such a motivating video !
Thanks a lot. This is the best video ever for accurate knowledge on PCOS. So very helpful for lot of girls like myself. I can’t express my gratitude enough. You have done a great job.
God bless you.
Mr.Beer biceps..u explained much better then any youtuber I have watched..
I m going to stop sugar today...this is very informative video. Thanks bro.explained amazingly 👌👌👌
I'm so glad i found this video! i definitely learned a lot about my pcos!
Today i get to know i am suffering from pcod... And this video..... Help me a lot..... Thank u soooo.... Much...
💞💞
The way you have concluded the entire context is sooo good!!!! I loved this video. Thankyou
I cannot thank you enough for making such an informative video. Please continue more videos in the PCOS series
omg..this is very well explained!! Hope fr such vdeos ♥️
Man you owe lots of respect🙌
omg thank you so much , honestly never knew I can learn this much information about PCOS from a guy , thank you, thank you , thank you !!!!!
