I don't have to check any of your explanations , I was long enough in this cult, by the GRACE of Heavenly Father I'm SAVED,SEALED & SANCTIFIED ! & I advice U get the BIBLE & promote the WORD of GOD NOT ABOMINATION!115:4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
115:5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
115:6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
115:7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
115:8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.
ACT 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
19:26 Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:
REV9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

I've literally seen catholics pray to statues and think Mary can hear them, and the saints. Both Jesus and God himself both said, do not make images of ANYTHING in heaven or beneath the earth. Jesus also said there is only 1 Mediator to God the father and that is through Jesus. Seen them also pray to Michael the arch angel. Catholics believe they are heard in prayer to whoever they pray to,so explain how that is not putting them above God himself and worshipping idols? What's the difference if someone prays to a statue of Satan or mother earth? There is none.

No, you haven't. That's like saying, I've seen Protestants bow before an altar crying with tissue boxes thinking that the altar can hear them.
Catholics don't pray to statues. Even if they did, they're going against their own religion which condemns that, so your whole point is still moot.

The Catholic Church has taught that there is only 1 m between God and man, and that is Jesus. We have taught that for 2000 years, so you're giving Catholic teaching. But that doesn't mean we can't pray for one another or ask others to pray for us. We ask friends and family to pray for us. And they go to Jesus. We also ask Mary and the saints to pray for us. And they also go to Jesus. Same thing

Deuteronomy 4: 15-18 gave the actual reason why God prohibited the people of Israel from making any graven image:
"SINCE YOU SAW NO FORM when the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire, take care and watch yourselves closely, so that you do not act corruptly by making an idol for yourselves, in the form of any figure-the likeness of male or female, the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth."
But what happened in the New Testament? In the fullness of time, God took form and dwelt among us.
    Hosanna!!!

I'd like to add one thing about the word prayer. People think that prayer means worship. It doesn't, the meaning of pray is request. The courts use the word pray in stead of request.
Example: My client prays for a sum of $500 for loss of wages.
So when we pray to the saints and angels, we are requesting their prayers on our behalf

      Philippians 4:6-7
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving *let your requests be made known to God.*
God is omniscient, He is the only one who can hear billions of prayers at the same time. By saying that dead saints such as Mary, or John are capable of taking prayers from a Catholic in Italy and another one in Florida at the same time is ascribing them with a quality that is only pertaining to God.
      Daniel 10.12
“Then he said to me, “Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words.”
When christians ask one another for help in prayer it is different. We are all coming before the throne together. Just like when the jews proclaimed a collective fast in the book of Esther.
Christ is the only mediator, and the Holy Spirit is our intercessor. Not Mary. If you were to read the Bible with no bias you’d see that the importance you guys are giving to Mary is misguided. She was indeed a blessed woman, but that is it. She is not some sort of goddess, nor is she “the queen of heaven” as some have said.
And this is not a Protestant speaking. I am an ex-muslim who was saved by Christ and His word. I don’t follow man, I follow his Word. May God bless you.

➨CARVED IMAGES IN THE TEMPLE OF THE LORD, INTERCESSION OF MARY AND THE SAINTS, HONOURING MARY, AND BOWING AS A SIGN OF HONOUR AND RESPECT
(All copied from the protestant version of the bible by me)
Sacred Images are Biblical & mocking & destroying them is a serious sin, an act of blasphemy:
➨ SACRED IMAGES: Sacred images are not idols and it is an act of blasphemy to attack them:
    ● EXODUS 25:18-22 God commands Moses to make STATUES of Angels.

    ● NUMBERS 21:8-9 God commands another image to be made, a serpent.
    ● EZEKIEL 41:18-25 KJV
(EZEKIEL's VISION OF THE TEMPLE OF THE LORD ADORNED WITH CARVED IMAGES:)...
    18 And it was made with CHERUBIMS (ANGELS) and PALM TREES, so that a palm tree was between a CHERUB and EVERY CHERUB HAD TWO FACES;
19 So that the FACE OF A MAN was toward the PALM TREE on the one side, and the FACE OF A LION toward the PALM TREE on the other side: it was made through all the house round about.
20 From the ground unto above the door were CHERUBIMS (ANGELS) and PALM TREES made, and on the wall of the temple.
21 The posts of the temple were squared, and the face of the sanctuary; the appearance of the one as the appearance of the other.
22 The altar of wood was three cubits high, and the length thereof two cubits; and the corners thereof, and the length thereof, and the walls thereof, were of wood: and he said unto me, This is the table that is before the Lord.
23 And the temple and the sanctuary had two doors.
24 And the doors had two LEAVES apiece, two turning leaves; two leaves for the one door, and two leaves for the other door.
25 And there were made on them, on the doors of the temple, CHERUBIMS and PALM TREES, like as were made upon the walls; and there were thick planks upon the face of the porch without.
➨ BOWING as a sign of honour / respect:
●1 KINGS 2:19 Solomon bows to his Mother. (he HONOURS Her)
    ● JOSHUA 7:6: 6 Joshua & the elders of Israel tore their clothing and lay prostrate (face down on the ground) before the Ark of the Lord. (an OBJECT)
    ➨ HONOURING MARY:
    ● LUKE 1:48 All generations will call Mary blessed.
➨ INTERCESSION OF MARY & THE SAINTS IN THE BIBLE: ...
Including proof that saints are not among the dead
The Protestant claim that we are forbidden to speak to / pray to Mary and the saints is NOWHERE in the Bible. In fact, the following scriptures were copied (by me) directly from the Protestant version of the Bible: ...
➨INTERCESSION of a holy person on our behalf:
    ● JOB 42:8 8 Now therefore take seven bulls and seven rams, and GO TO MY SERVANT JOB, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and MY SERVANT Job SHALL PRAY FOR YOU, FOR I WILL ACCEPT HIS PRAYER NOT TO DEAL WITH YOU ACCORDING TO YOUR FOLLY; for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.
➨INTERCESSION of MARY: JOHN 1 At the wedding feast at Cana, it was Mary who asked Jesus to help the wedding party.
➨INTERCESSION OF THE SAINTS: REV 5:8 The prayers of the Saints are offered to Jesus the lamb.
➨The KING Honours his mother's request:
    ● 1 KINGS 2:20: Then she said, “I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me.” And the king said to her, “Make your request, my mother, for I will not refuse you.”
(Jesus is the Greatest King and he also honours his mother's requests)
    SAINTS ALSO WORKED MIRACLES:
➨ JOHN 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
➨ PAUL RAISES A MAN FROM THE DEAD:
    ACTS 20:7-12
9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
10 And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.20:
➨SAINTS ARE NOT AMONG THE DEAD: AND THEIR INTERCESSION IS BIBLICAL: They share in the ressurrection of Jesus: (Protestants attack Biblical saints while they follow dead reformers)
    ● MATTHEW 27: 52 -53: When Jesus was raised from the dead Many were raised up with him. 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
    ● LUKE 23 v 39-43...Jesus told the good thief "today you will be with me in paradise"
    ● REV 19 v 14...when Jesus returns he will be accompanied by his heavenly armies of saints.
    ● 2 COR 5 v 8...Paul tells us that to be absent with the body is to be with the Lord.
    ● JOHN 11 v 25-26...Jesus said I am the ressurrection and the life, he who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives, believing in me will never die.
    ● LUKE 1619-30 The story of the rich man and Lazarus show The Rich man, Lazarus and Abraham, all concious and interacting with each other even though they have physically died.
    ● LUKE 9:30-31 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
(Moses & Elijah were alive, and were yalking with Jesus)
    ● REV 6:10 The souls of the martyrs are before the throne of God, crying out for justice. (they are conscious and actively petitioning God)
    ● HEB 12:1-3 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
    ● MATT 17:1-13 ...At the Transformation of Jesus, he is seen speaking to Moses and Elijah, further showing that Holy ones of God are not among the dead.
➨HONOURING MARY: LUKE 1:48: All generations will call Mary Blessed. We Catholics are the ones who call her the BLESSED Virgin Mary and treat her accordingly.
➨NOWHERE does the bible permit protestants (or anyone else) to Scrutinize & monitor the prayers of other people, nor to judge their sincerity or their salvation.
Protestantism does not come from jesus. It began with Martin Luther in 1517 & exists Only to oppose the Catholic church which Jesus founded 15 centuries B4 the protestant revolt. They only know & accept the PARTS of the Bible that suit them and they do not have an accurate bible either.

      @BZ Man
Do you know the meaning of worship?
It is the recognition that someone is a deity. In Christianity, Jesus is recognize as God and given absolute worship at every Mass. No similar, "mass type event" towards saints in Heaven is practiced anywhere by Catholics; what exists is veneration, "dulia", for their heroic pursuit of holiness in imitation of Christ.
The Virgin Mary, being above all saints and angels, the veneration due to her is called hyperdulia.
Let me make it clear, since the days of the apostles the Catholic Church has consistently condemned the sin of idolatry. The early Church Fathers warned against this sin, and Church councils also dealt with the issue.
The Second Council of Nicaea (787), which dealt largely with the question of the religious use of images and icons, said, "The one who redeemed us from the darkness of idolatrous insanity, Christ our God, when he took for his bride his holy Catholic Church . . . promised he would guard her and assured his holy disciples saying, ‘I am with you every day until the consummation of this age.’ . . . To this gracious offer some people paid no attention; being hoodwinked by the treacherous foe they abandoned the true line of reasoning . . . and they failed to distinguish the holy from the profane, asserting that the icons of our Lord and of his saints were no different from the wooden images of satanic idols."
      THE CATHOLIC CHURCH CLEARLY AFFIRMS:
▪︎The Catechism of the Council of Trent (1566) taught that idolatry is committed "by worshipping idols and images as god, or believing that they possess any divinity or virtue entitling them to our worship, by praying to, or reposing confidence in them" (374).
▪︎"Idolatry is a perversion of man’s innate religious sense. An idolater is someone who ‘transfers his indestructible notion of God to anything other than God’" (CCC 2114).
▪︎The Church absolutely recognizes and condemns the sin of idolatry. What anti-Catholics fail to recognize is the distinction between thinking a piece of stone or plaster is a god and desiring to visually remember Christ and the saints in heaven by making statues in their honor. The making and use of religious statues is a thoroughly biblical practice. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know his Bible.
I must emphasize there's no "idol" or "statue" worship in the Catholic Church. Just like there's no worship going on in Washington DC for having a huge memorial as a statue at the Lincoln memorial, which reads:
      "SAVIOR of the Union"
      Specifically saying in the inscription:
"In this temple, as in the hearts of the people for whom he saved the Union, the memory of Abraham Lincoln is enshrined forever."
Would anyone think americans also worship Lincoln for having such statue with such dedicatory words?
No protestant does. Then: Why the fanatical distortion towards the Catholic Church founded by Christ, regarding its respect and recognition towards Her heroes in the faith, the Saints?
The only explanation is that the Devil is the motivator for such distortion of truth and facts.
      May God bless your discernment.

I have been in Catholic church since I was born up to this age, but I will no longer supporting the explanation you are giving here anymore. I know in myself that Catholic follows all the rules in the Bible but only the status is without the meaning of the Bible. I will rather advice the priest and and the bishops and the elders of the church to agreed to remove all that status from the church and thrown it away. Then the church will become pure Holy Church in front of the Lord. I was finding out the reason why we bow down to this status and sometimes we put our hands on them to pray, and sometimes we carry Mary and Jesus to go run. Many of the church members have put their faith in that status, in fact I was like that before. But later I discovered myself to set my mind towards in heaven when I am praying but not the status, and not everyone know this. And I have never seen any priest who is teaching the members in church to set their mind in heaven when they are praying but not in the status. Such teachings doesn't take place in the church, so many of the members put their faith in that status in the church and always bow down in front of them kissing their feet, putting their hands on them, crying in front of them, I myself are one of them before. But I have seen that all that practice are the way of idols. It is better for the church stop that my dear brother! You cannot compare that status to the Ark of Covenant you mentioned, again, you cannot compare it to those who bow down to the Prophets as you mentioned! The Prophets were alive before those bow down to them, it is not the same as the status which represents the dead. My brother, I will strongly tell you that we are doing wrong things in the line that status in the church. I am pure Catholic church member and because of this status I am now finding my way out to stop the Catholic church! From Genesis to Revelation as I study the Bible, there is no where teachers that we must do such things to remember the dead as our brothers like you said. All those who practice such ways of images and status in worship, the Bible classified them as adultery and idols worshipers. I think it is right time for us to accept our mistake as a church and stopped defending that wrong things we are doing in the church! I can tell you that if not that status, the Catholic church could have been the most number one Holy Church I have seen and believe in my life since I was born up to now, I am saying this because I have visited many churches in my life and I know how they worship. I found out that Catholic church follow all the rules of the church many as the Bible teaches us, but only the status we bow down to, and carrying them made us Unclen in the eyes of the Lord. We can do all things, but such things made us Unclen and there is no where in the Bible taught us to practice on that way you have explained to us here. Read from Jeremiah 10:2-9, read from Exodus 20:4-6, read from Deuteronomy 4:15-20 and Deuteronomy 5:8-10, read from Romans 1:22-24, read from Psalms 115:4-8, read from Isaiah 44:9-20, and 45:20, read from 1 Kings 16:25-33, read from Zephaniah 1:2-9. Then ask yourself that why did Jesus warned the church in Revelation 2:20-23 by using the name Jezebel? You must to stop defending what is wrong my dear Brother. Don't say some people are condemning the Catholic church based on the status! Don't forget that 1John 4:1 gives us right to examine whatever comes to us and see if it is line up with what is written in the Bible or if it comes from God. Check yourself in the whole Bible and see if there is a single prophecy that support what we are doing it in the church as a status to practice it on this earth. Again, where in the Bible that said the first Christians did practiced such kind of Status? Are they not the one who seen Jesus physical? Why they didn't made his status or Mary status? They also left over to their followers but they too did nothing like this. Let us not use our own mind to do some things that is not written in the Bible please! Proverbs 14:12 says there is a way seems to be right in the eyes of man but at the end is death. I have stopped the Catholic church from now and I will no longer take part of their services anymore period! There is no where Christ and his Apostles taught us to practice such kind of status as the remembrance of them in worship or praying, neither shall they prophecies such things on behalf of them. It is time to stop following such things, don't tell me that they were no camera that time so they cannot say it. Before you think that way, first of all remember that the Bible talks about images and status and symbols and adults in the old testament before Christ and his Apostles, and Christ himself is the Lord so he knows whatever will take place before the end of the world or age's. But there is no where he or his apostles told us to do such things on behalf of them as a sign of whom they are. I have more to say but few to write, I will end my point here. Let us advice ourselves and remove that status from the Church, it is wrong and we need to accept our mistakes under the line of James 3:2. Thank you and may the Lord help us to understand the Bible well and stay away from the things that is not required in worshiping God. Be blessed you all.

Bro LOL this is exactly the kind of childish thinking that is leading RCC to the pit, I am certain children do not grow up holding onto that teddy bear, they let it go. For adults, the only person we want to worship is God in and through Christ alone. You can't compare kissing the Bible to a statue! Jesus is the word, that's one thing, a statue is made with human hands, it has no authority, let us reason.

You guys are deluding yourselves saying people can kiss and bow down to statues and say that’s not worship. Even the apostles rebuked people for bowing down the them and they were living men with authority from God. For someone to even think it in their mind to craft a statue and lift it over their shoulders is a form of worship. I see thousands in the videos crowding around these statues during festivals and then cry in horror when they fall over. They make the faith look like a joke the only thing we saw raised over peoples shoulders in the Bible was the ark of the covenant and people were literally destroyed for not carrying it correctly. So what happens to the men that drop these statues or drop the glass of Jesus blood on the floor? If the ark had power and stirred the wrath of God, how much more Jesus blood?

My experience under 40 years of atheist communism was technically their statues were skillfully done, BUT none nor any object they built contained beauty, it was if when they banned God, the metaphysical attribute of beauty fled. There are objects that contain God's gift of beauty, When I saw Michelangelo's Pieta in St Peter's, tears sprang to eyes. It is Beauty, “Michelangelo Buonarotti made this.”

Nobody ever pointed it out to me that what I was doing was wrong, except when I read the Ten Commandments and put two and two together. I was worshipping statues right in front of Catholic parents and priests, and nobody ever bothered to check on my heart attitude while I was doing so; they simply smiled on me and encouraged what I was doing.

Don't lie; bowing, kneeling and kissing is a sign of reverence and this is what it means to worship. If God came to earth today are these not the kind of things you would do in his presence, then why are you doing it to idols and lying that is not a form of worship? Answer this honestly, can I spit on the likeness of whomever you bow and kneel to without being offended? If not, you worship idols because you deem them worthy of honour and respect. But hey don't lose your faith because of a TH-cam comment, do you!

    • @CatholicTruthOfficial
      @CatholicTruthOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

No, this is not always what it means to worship. When I kiss my wife, do I worship her? When King David bowed before Bathsheba, was he worshiping her? Of course not. Protestants kneel in front of their Bible; are they worshiping it? Yes, these things can be an act of worship in some cases, but as we showed, like with Jacob bowing out of respect before Esau, that they do not always mean worship.
If you spit at a picture of my family, I would be offended. So, if you spit at pictures of my brothers and sisters in heaven, I would be offended by that too because we are all family. The saints are worthy of honor and respect, but not worship. There is a very big difference between these two acts. Worship and adoration is for God alone.

So we are not letting the candle TO the saint for worship, but just as a symbol of our prayer. The same thing for flowers. The flowers are not for the statue but for Mary or the saint in heaven. It's a symbolic Act of love. If they were here in person, we would give them flowers in person. But since we can't we make this symbolic gesture at one of their pictures. Nothing to do with worship though.

Every once in awhile, there may be something Supernatural or miraculous that happens with a statue, like it bleeding or crying. But no, God is not in the statues. Anything that happens is by his power from heaven. Similar to in the Bible, Paul healed somebody from a disease with a handkerchief. A headband. But of course we don't believe God was in there, we believe that God used that to help somebody in need. He showed his power through it. He can do the same thing through a statue if he wants to. Bowing or kneeling to the image of something divine or sanctified while praying is definitely an act of worship in every other situation. People pray to images of mary believing this will cure ailments etc, so what would you call this? It is an act of idol worship. Everyone except catholics who are in denial seems to understand that the catholic church is very idolatrous. It's common historical understanding that those who sought to convert early pagans to christians converted pagan Holidays and rituals, giving them a christian veneer in order to suit the needs of both sides. Catholics devotion to Mary is nothing but the goddess worship of old.

We answered that verse and showed how Protestants don't understand it and take it out of context in our first video. th-cam.com/video/GrvktdJJUIk/w-d-xo.html

According to the Bible :We walk by faith not by sight
    Remember the golden calf
They knew God But they wanted an image of so they did it In a form of a calf
You made a huge mistake here

That is definitely not what the verse means. Also, God did not have an image before Christ, and was Himself an image when Christ was incarnate. Hence images can be used now more extensively (they were used extensively in the temple as well).
